"How do you feel about The Cheesecake Factory?" Luke asked Barrett as they were both sitting at the table. Barrett shrugged. "It's fine, I guess."

"Well, I'm crossing that out," Luke grumbled.

"Why are you asking?"

"For our date."

Barrett looked at Luke in awe before confusion crossed his mind. "Should I be scared?"

Luke ignored that. "How about Nobu?"

"You mean that place all the rappers rap about?" Barrett asked and Luke threw his hands up before chuckling. "I can never win with you."

"Aw, our first argument." Barrett smiled. "Yeah, our first argument before we could go out on our first date," Luke agreed, trying to remain mock-serious but failing.

"Hey, Luke."

"What?"

"I don't care where we go. Wanna know why?" said Barrett. "Why?" Luke asked.

Barrett smiled. "Cause you're gonna be there with me."

Luke leaned in absentmindedly to kiss him, but thought better to not ruin their real first kiss. The one at The Rox didn't count because they were both intoxicated and not really in the moment to enjoy it. So Luke decided to wait for the right time. "God, you're cheesy."

"Cheesier than a four-cheese pizza. Good thing you're not lactose-intolerant because if you were then you'd be fucked."

     "Oh, absolutely."

"Why am I not surprised?" Barrett and Luke were once again standing in front of Roscoe's House of Chicken & Waffles.

     "I remembered you wanted hangover waffles so I thought, 'why not kill two birds with one stone?'" Luke shrugged.

     "Dude, you are the best boyfriend ever."

     "Don't I know it," Luke said smugly and intertwining his hand with Barrett's before they headed into the restaurant.
