Lilah was extremely down. She was not able to sleep so she got herself drunk. You know the usual remedy of curing sadness. Well to her it was.

She woke up at 11:00 am as her alarm rang. She slowly opens her eyes not wanting to get up but nonetheless she had to. She had been called at the police station for her best friend, Bolin's murder case at 12pm. She got up slowly and started groaning. Yes, it was a hangover. She held her head as if someone was banging her head or as if needles were pricked against her head. She started massaging her head and mumbled, " Getting drunk was a bad idea." She stepped inside her bathroom to get ready.

She took a quick bath and changed herself into a brown oversized sweater top and black leggings. She made herself a chamomile tea to refresh her mind hoping it would help her. She switched on the TV and the first thing to come up on the screen was Bolin's bleeding body. 'Well I guess I was never meant to feel good, ' she thought. She switched off the TV with a frown sighing. Something's definitely weird. She  never thought this day would come. And what even did her best friend do? What kind of work was he involved in?

Now she had no one to be with. No one to talk to. No one with whom she can share something. No one to care about. No one with whom she could playfully bicker. No one with whom she could laugh. You name it, she was lonely. She looked at the time. 11:21 am. She carried her sling bag and phone with her. she wore an oversized coat with her. She locked her apartment room and started going to the bus stop. The bus came and took her to her destination.

She reached the police station and went inside it. She filled the registration and waited for the police general to come. He finally came and they stepped inside his working room. She sat on the seat where she was told to sit, in front of general. The general started speaking, "Good afternoon Ms. Zhou. I hope you know the reason why you are called here." Lilah internally rolled her eyes. Obviously, she does. She nodded her head. "So, tell me what exactly happened," he said.

"I was about to sleep yesterday but then I got a call from an unknown number. I thought it was prank but I ended picking it up. The caller started warning me to come save Bolin and if I didn't I would regret seeing the news. I ran to the abandoned railway station where he said me to come and save him. But-but I found him laying dead on the floor. I..., " Lilah couldn't continue as she started breaking down.  The general started groaning and said," Miss, please don't cry. Oh God." He gave a glass of water to Lilah. She took it and drank the water. She wiped her tears and heaved a sigh.

The general rolled his eyes and said,"See Ms. Zhou we will try our best to look out for the who killed your friend. Umm.. you will have to wait for 15 minutes. We have arranged an investigator for you. He will help you find the murderer. I will request you to wait here." By saying that, the general stepped out of the room releasing a huge sigh. 'Another headache,' he thought. Lilah did as she was told. She waited for 15 minutes fiddling with her fingers. She was nervous to meet the investigator.

Fifteen minutes were over. A raspy voice called her,"Ms. Zhou, you are being called by the investigator, Mr.Qian. Please follow me." She got up and started the following the person. 'Hope this goes well,' she prayed.

well hello there guys, i guess this chapter is kinda short. i am sorry for that i will try to post lenghty chapters next time otherwise this book will turn boring. and guys, i think you might be wondering but then lets just pretend that theres no virus in this fanfic.(dont take it in a wrong way, i do not want to sound rude)
