Hera, Kanan and Sabine kept walking with their heads down, while searching for a way to enter the lower level. Choper would be very useful now, or even Sabine's scanner.
But, nurses did not wear scanners and they could not risk being recognized. Nothing would take away this chance to see Ezra. Nothing.

"Guys, this is pointless!" Sabine whispered harshly.

"You have any better idea?" Kanan asked while sighing for the hundredth time. Sabine was right. This place was huge, and the more they stayed the more danger they were in. And the less the time they would have with Ezra.

"Maybe if we find a map?" Hera suggested.

"Or Kanan can use the flipping force already and make a nurse lead us there" Sabine whispered a little too loud.

"SHHHH!!!"

They all looked around for anyone who could have heard them but, all the nurses seemed to be busy watching children play and writing things down.

"Okay" Hera breathed in and out slowly. "She's got a point Kanan. I know you wanted it to be a simple mission but, we have to find him" Hera said, the desperation making her voice break.

"I-I know" Kanan sighed. "Okay, but not here. Let's go back on the storage room. Maybe the two lovebirds will know something useful"

They walked out and made their way back to the storage units. There they entered the small room they had used to hide when they first got here. The two crates Kanan and Hera was in were still there and in one of them muffled protests could still be heard.

Sabine opened the lid and Kanan walked closer.

"You maniacs!" The doctor shouted trying to get up, his legs failing him

"Who do you think you are?" The nurse shouted tears of anger rolling down her face.

"It doesn't really matter. Where is the entrance point for the lower levels?

The doctor and nurse exchanged a worried look.

"Th-there are no lower levels!" The nurse stated but it her lie couldn't be more obvious.

"You're a terrible actress" Sabine said looking annoyed "Stick to being a nurse sweetie"

"It's okay Sabine. I didn't want to have to do this but time is running out and I have a child to hug so... You will tell me how to get to the lower levels" Kanan said waving his fingers in front if the nurse's and the doctor's face.

"We will tell how to get to the lower levels" the nurse repeated.

"The door to the elevator is two rooms after doctor Lee's office" the doctor continued.

"We've already been there, there is no elevator" Hera said getting annoyed as well.

"The door is hidden. There is a scanner on the wall. You can only enter the elevator with a key card. Only authorised stuff has a hold of a key card like that"

"Judging from their intelligence, they are not included in the 'authorized stuff'"

"How can find out who carries a key card?" Hera said more to herself.

"The ones who were chosen wear a black patch with the symbol of an eye on it"

"Uhhhh, okay? That is...creepy" Sabine said walking a little closer to Hera.

"You will sleep now" Kanan said.

"We will sleep now" the two repeated in unison and passed out hitting each other. Kanan placed back the lid and turned to Sabine and Hera.

"Okay, weird" Kanan said walking up to them.

"I'm starting to have doubts about this hospital" Hera admitted. Worry about Ezra rose inside her.

"Oh really? Was it the hidden door or was it the 'authorized stuff' with the symbol of an eye in their uniforms that you didn't like?" Sabine said worried as well. She didn't like this, at all.

"I'm sorry" Kanan lowered his head as the words left his mouth.

"What are you talking about dear?"

"It was my idea to take Ezra to a mental hospital. I thought it was for the best but now? We shouldn't have to sneak in and mind control people to get to him. This is not normal. We are not leaving him here a day longer"

Kanan was determined to get Ezra out. He had a bad feeling about this place the moment he stepped in that office several months ago. He should have listened to his instincts, he shouldn't have broken the bond between him and Ezra.

Hera and Sabine smiled. Hera hugged him and Sabine placed a hand on his back. She didn't have to do anything more to show him her support. That moment they all silently agreed that they would be taking Ezra with them tonight.

A few parsecs away from Lothal.

As the Grand Inquisitor meditated he could not but notice the sudden change in the force. The dark shadow covering the aura around him was starting to retreat at the appearance of the smallest of rays of light.

The hologram projector turned on and Darth Vader's heavy breathing echoed through the room. The inquisitor stood up and kneeled in front of the hologram.

"There has been a change on the force's course"

"I am aware Master. I felt it. The Jedi has come for his padawan" Grand Inquisitor felt cold fear rise in him. Vader's anger and hate radieted from the hologram even if Vader himself were light years away.

"Communicate with the doctor. Tell him to sent the boy now. We do cannot miss this chance. The emperor wants the world between worlds and the boy can activate it. Do not fail"

The transmission ended and Vader disappeared leaving something rotten in the force. Everything felt a little colder and darker than before.

I know it's small, but it's crucial to the story. Probably. I only have a general idea to where I'm heading with the story and I need to work on the details but it's turning out be really good so far. I think.
