Dire Mother And Son

I opened my eyes and noticed that I was standing on a stairway. I looked up and saw an archaic light swinging vigorously above me. As the light moved from one place to another, I began to shift my eyes forward and saw a void. As thick as it was, not even the light swinging was shining on it.

It was just at this moment that I realized I could see my own breath. The chills touched my bones and froze my movements. I was hesitant to take a step up, or down. While I still had a train of thought, I believed it was better to head towards the light. So that's what I did.

After every footstep I would make, the stairs made a certain sound. Almost like a eerie symphony. As I crept closer to the light, I felt the hairs on my skin go up. I looked back and saw the void moving up. It was weird because when the light would try to pierce below where I was standing, it would be as if there was no light existed.

Turning the corner I saw a long hallway. There were 5 doors on each side. One door in particular was completely dented. The entire space was wooden and it reeked of dead skin. Followed with a plethora of cracks in the floor. I didn't want to move but as I looked behind me, It seemed I had to. There was no light at all.

The eerie noise from each step on the wooden floors were the same as the steps. But they didn't last long. I had reach the dented door and the noise stopped. I looked to my right and the void is still at the beginning of the hallway. I shifted my eyes back to the dented door and pressed my ears against it.

Nothing.

I opened the door slowly and saw an old lady sitting in the middle of the room. She was seated in a chair next to a round table, drinking something. I heard her drinking out of the cup, until she put it down. Then her eyes met mine.

"Well, well. Another visitor." She said.

I had never seen an eye pattern like hers before. It was like a snake. Her body looked as if a twig could break anyone of her bones. Her skin was a vomit green.

"Why don't you step into my room? That way, my son has some space." She said as her eyes dimmed.

"Who's your son?" I asked.

She smiled as she looked just slightly passed my head.

I turned around and saw the biggest man of my life. He was over 7 feet tall and carried a huge gut. His skin color was the same as his mothers. His eyes were small and dark. His teeth were like wooden hooks, being able to pierce through anything.

"It's time for your next meal, Harold"

The last things I saw was his eyes. Dark like the void.
