Hun (Chapter 2:1)
Everything burns.
Trivik's muscles ache, and his head pounds as if a musician drums directly by his right ear. Nothing smells or tastes, and his eyes open.
Magenta liquid surrounds him, and he floats within it right side up. Bubbles escape his nose and lightly gaping mouth, and his skin glows with purple. Confusion sweeps over him, but he ignores due to the effects of the syrup he floats in; it prevents memories past knowledge of existence and first reactions from surfacing, and it grants perfect serenity.
Trivik closes his eyes and smiles, noting his body aches but keeping it as a inconsequential thought. But suddenly, banging on the glass in front of him startles his heart, and he can't see what creates it. Beyond the swirling magenta around him, all can't be seen.
Then, the liquid drains through the bottom of the tank. Once it left, memories flashed through Trivik's mind, so he cries as the glass in front of him sinks into the smooth, opal floor. He takes a step out from the pod, shivering and frantically looking around.
Opal floors stretch as far as a fair sized ballroom. No ceiling exists, as a light from up above is all that shines down during all time, and it seems like a ceiling for those beneath it. The walls are of roughly cut diamond, though they are in such numerous quantities within the Overworld that they value nil. Along these walls, many tanks like the one Trivik left stand, some occupied.
But the surroundings hardly caught Trivik's attention when his mind could process his situation. What did and does is the beauteous woman before him, and he runs to her anxiously, snaking his heavily built arms around her thin waist.
Arms, Trivik merrily thinks for an instance, remembering the beating he took. But his arm rests where it should be, and no puncture leaks his meat onto the floor. The best thing about his arm's return has to be the sensations.
His fingers can brush through her blonde hair that falls to her upper thighs. Warmth from her body radiates on it, though much is spread over his body where hers presses against, her breasts flattening on his broad, hair-ridden chest.
Excitedly, Trivik's lips go on hers before the desire to speak occurs, and she melts in his arms as her blue eyes dilate. After a swift peck on her cheek, he stops, memories flashing in his mind. He firmly hugs her, tears leaving his eyes. He rests his chin on her shoulder, and she pats Trivik's back.
"Triv, you're alright. You're back home. You're in the Overworld," she calmly says, and Trivik tenses, the name of this accursed place ringing in his ears.
"The Overworld is awful, and the Goddess' name should be spat on," Trivik growls, and his lover frowns, nodding.
"Trivik, that's not true. You know that's not true." Trivik's teeth clench, and he backs away, his shoulders shaking.
"I was on Vrisellis for a week! It was only meant to last a day or two! And I couldn't afford food or drink, and I was stuck to the skin on my back since we can't bring anything from the Overworld there! Before I found the Drevillik, which no one told me would be so humanoid in behavior and movement, I was within an alley! It was the only place I could think to stay. First night, someone tried to rob me though broke, so I hid in back alleyways to hide, and I couldn't even afford food and clothes for Sun!" Trivik stutters and rambles, pausing for a second. "Where's Sun?" he grimly asks, unable to remember her from any time after the fighting began.
"Triv, please calm down. Everything is alright now. That was your first mission from the Goddess. It's hard for all on the first time. I'll go with you next time. Okay, Triv?"
Trivik sighs deeply, brushing his ginger hair back. "Okay, okay. Sorry, hun. I didn't mean it," he quietly says, walking back up to her and hugging. His light pink lips land on her cheek, working their way down her neck. She blushes, wrapping her arms around him and groping at his firm back.
"I'm sorry too, sweetheart. I should've prepared you for heading out since I knew what to expect. It was just as hard on me the first time, and it gave me a huge revelation on faith. It seemed like the Goddess is evil, but she's a leader. Leaders aren't perfect, and they screw up sometimes. It's hard, especially since the God of the Underworld is stronger than our Goddess. Triv, that doesn't matter much though. We need to pull through, and then," she pauses, smiling and pecking his neck, "we're going to have to teach our son to fight. But the next generation will be better, as you know as well as I do that the Goddess is starting an uprise of Reapers with her new rules."
Trivik's flustered cheeks fall to another of her kisses. "Son. So," Trivik stutters, "we are going to try for the child soon?" Wants float around his mind as his heart lightens, and his grin emanates love. She gently nuzzles her face against his chest, and his body feels numb with the passion overloading him.
"Of course. Tonight will be the first time we're to join, per our agreement. And you valiantly made it through your mission and killed the Drevillik, my Reaper knight."
Trivik nods dumbly, his smile warm as he remembers when he announced his love. He became her Reaper knight, though being a fearsome Reaper herself. It occurred a mere two weeks prior.
