"I SOMETIMES FEEL THAT RACISM IS GETTING WORSE."
- Tahar Rahim
MI-YOUNG PARK WAS DUMFOUNDED.
"Did you just say that those flowers are for me?"
"I know you can't see, but now you can't hear either?"
"What did you say? I can't hear bullshit."
"Oh Mimi, I always knew you were the one for me."
"Ew."
"Aw, don't play hard to get!"
"I ain't even playing though."
Taehyung couldn't help but smile at the sassy girl in front of him.
"Won't you accept these flowers from me, Mimi?"
Mi-young squinted her eyes at the devilish boy.
What's this twat planning?
"Those flowers aren't poisoned, are they?"
"How can you poison flowers? Are you going to eat them?"
"Maybe I will. Hey, are you calling me fat?"
"Huh?"
"I see right through you, Kim Taehyung!"
"Woah, wait—"
"Why are you really giving me flowers, hm? What are you planning here?"
"Can't a guy give a pretty girl some pretty flowers?"
"Not when the guy is you."

He was casually walking down the street until he saw a familiar figure inside a small flower shop.
Well, well, well, what do we have here?
A sinful smirk graced his bronzed skin.
Taehyung knew Jungkook all too well.
Flowers, huh? Well two can play it that way, Jeon.
Taehyung waltzed into the shop, expecting Jungkook to turn around, however Jungkook was too fascinated with the colorful array of flowers to bother to turn around to see who entered the small quiet flower shop.
Without thinking twice, Taehyung grabbed the nearest bouquet he saw and quickly shuffled to the register to buy them.
While Jungkook took forever to decide which bouquet to choose, Taehyung picked one at a moment's glance.
You always were too slow, Jungkookie.
Taehyung had no interest in presenting Mi-young flowers, but that was before he saw Jungkook.
So now here he was, standing on the porch of the Park's residence, handing Mi-young a bouquet of red roses whilst she stood before him dazed and confused.
"Did you just say that those flowers are for me?"
A slight grin crept its way onto his face.
It's as if she's asking me to make fun of her.
"I know you can't see, but now you can't hear either?"
Suddenly, strong winds whipped through.
Wisps of her onyx hair swayed against the wind, caressing the skin of her neck and cheeks, and surrounded her scintillating soulful eyes.
Glass doe eyes rimmed with long, dark lashes, brushed against her cheeks.
Dark mahogany eyes bore into him with such a fervor that even confused the boy himself.
He seemed to have found himself lost in the suffering, loneliness, and longing that her eyes held.
Not even her deepest harrowing emotions emerging could be kept hidden behind the seemingly sunny facade that her eyes embodied.
Her emotions usually dancing like fire, burning with ardor, emitting a counterfeit jovial and witty appearance was ebbed to a smoldering ember as she questioned him and his actions.
Those burnt honey eyes, sprinkled with sienna specks, exhibited a golden warmth like no other.
But Taehyung knew there was something more.
Not even a sweet and innocent gesture could fool Mi-young.
Why is this girl making it so hard?
The bundle of sorrowful emotions kept hidden behind her seemingly sunny and sweet facade only drew Taehyung in more.
I'll figure you out Mi-young, that's a promise.
"So, is that a yes or no to accepting my flowers?"
Instead of his usual conniving smirk, he put on one of the softest of smiles.
You're not the only one that's good at faking it, Mi-young.
Twinkling eyes encapsulated by purity and sweetness of honey dew graced his golden kissed face.
A seemingly sunny girl hiding the cruel reality of the world alongside a seemingly sweet boy embodying the cruel reality of humanity, together.
Nothing is ever what it seems to be.
"Well aren't you in a weird mood today. Fine, I'll accept your flowers, I guess."
If only Mi-young knew about the storm ahead.
The storm of Kim Taehyung sends soft sun rays that caresses and traps innocent souls. The lucid streams spilling and inundating naive minds with color and quiet joy. The hypnotic effects of the boy slowly yet surely deceiving poor souls. While all seems to be well, the harsh reality shakes the victim out of the subterfuge that is reality. The winds that whipped and shredded past fools' tainted hearts to pieces, never to be mended again, was creeping its way into Mi-young's naive heart.
But for Taehyung, Mi-young was a new challenge.
A storm certainly was brewing, but it was a storm unlike any past ones.
It was time for Taehyung to change his past antics to better fit Mi-young and her enticing persona.
Oh what fun we'll have, Park Mi-young.
~•~
Salty beads slowly escaped from his glass doe eyes and rolled down his cheeks.
The heartache budded like an uproar in the form of a silent scream.
His dark lashes brimmed with tears couldn't withstand the sight he was witnessing.
With quivering lips, Jungkook wished he hadn't chosen the path back home that passed the Park's abode.
He realized he could have saved himself from the little jab to his heart and from the cursed view of Taehyung sweetly smiling with red roses in his hands alongside a dazed, utterly ethereal Mi-young.
He thought about the possibility of trying to forget his desire for Mi-young and saving himself entirely from anymore heartache.
But then he thought of what happened last time.
And then he thought about the possibility of saving Mi-young entirely from the brewing storm that is Kim Taehyung, and he realized he would do it in a heart beat.
Even if it meant sacrificing his delicate, tender heart for a girl who could barely even remember his name, Jungkook couldn't let another fall victim to Taehyung's cruel antics.
Not this time, and not ever again.
I will win this time, Taehyung. That's a promise.

A/N: how did giving flowers turn into a jumble of emo nonsensical nothingness? Lmao I don't even know what I just wrote but I felt the need to update this book today so here it is! I tried to write a longer chapter than usual, but that didn't really work out oOPS. How does one write a good long chapter? Anyway, I hope you had a great weekend and that you're eating well and staying happy!
Summer is being a real lazy ass and isn't coming here fast enough. But, I love you and I hope that you'll take care of yourselves in the meantime because school is almost, sort of, kinda, over! Just gotta get through the rest of the school year and exams!
Have a great day :)❤️
P.S. do you guys prefer long chapters or shortish chapters? Cause my chapters are pretty short I think (?) but if y'all prefer long chapters I'll try to make them longer! *sigh* the struggle is real
