"Wait.. you want me to work here, at Anteiku?" I asked, almost spitting out the coffee. Yes, I'm drinking coffee because hot chocolate tasted shitty.

"Yes, I think we'd be able to help you control you ghoulish cravings, so you don't get in trouble with the CCG," Kaneki seemed to be begging at this point, but he was trying hard not to show it.

"Okay, why not. The last thing I want is to see those goons again," I shrugged.

"Wait, you've met them?" Touka scoffed.

"Yep. They're the ones who visited me when I was in the hospital after my friend, (F/n) and I got hit by a car," I shuttered, remembering the bloodthirsty expression on (F/n)'s face as she lunged at me before knocking us both in the street.

"Wait. (F/n)? As in the girl found dead on the news?" Touka seemed shocked now. I shrugged, "I guess. The CCG told me that something happened to me so they had to trade my organs in with hers... which means (F/n) was a ghoul."

Kaneki's eyes widened and a small smile rested on his lips. "So, you're half ghoul?"

"Uh... Yes...I guess, I mean... only one of my eyes turn black," I felt him grab my hand, making me beet red.

He gave Touka a look like 'I told you so' and suddenly let go of my hand, also turning pink. "What kind of kagune?"

"Ukaku?" I tried to recall what Mazo said.

"You're the same as Touka," he whispered, "so (F/n) must've been Ukaku."

"I guess," I shrugged, finishing my coffee.

"It's getting quite late. You two should head to Kaneki's house," Touka huffed.

"See you tomorrow, (Y/n)!" Hinami gave me a big hug before Kaneki and I left the cafe.

"Did you go to Kamii?" Kaneki asked, holding his wrist tightly as he looked around.

"Uh... ya. Why are you so paranoid?" I tilt my head at him.

"Well... we have to watch out for CCG investigators. They'll kill us on sight," Kaneki tensed up.

"Why didn't they kill me?" I stopped in front of him, making him almost run in front of me.

"Dunno. Probably trying to make you into a weapon. Not sure, they're unpredictable," Kaneki shrugged.

"Oh, well so, are you half ghoul?" I asked, wanting to take off his eye patch.

"Oh.. ya," he touched his eye patch slightly. "I had an organ transplant, and they gave me Rize's organs."

"Was she the girl you were talking with at the cafe a few months ago?" We started walking again, and I couldn't help but ask.

                    "Yup."

"And Hide... is he your friend... wait. That was a stupid question, sorry. Obviously, he's your friend," I stammered. He laughed, making me turn red from embarrassment .

After a few moments of silence, he looked away and spoke up, "that was cute.."

*Kaneki's POV*

"That was cute," I managed out. Hide would be so proud of me. Sighing, I heard her giggle.

                       "Thank you."

She smelled sweet. I know, random thought, but she must be thinking the same thing. Is this what other ghouls smell when they're around me?

"You're erm... really pretty," I rubbed my arm shyly. The only other time I said someone was pretty was to Rize, moments before she wanted to eat me.

"Thank you," she said again, but much quieter this time.

"My my, what's this?" I recognized that voice instantly. "Two sweet smelling beings."

"Oh! It's Kaneki! How are you. Did you find a human for you to feast on? She sure does smell delicious."

                          Shuu Tsukiyama, I thought grimly.

"What human?" I tilt my head at the purple haired male. "This isn't a human, she's obviously a ghoul."

"She smells a lot like you, Kaneki," Tsukiyama purred. "Is she half-ghoul like you?"

"What if she is?" I glared at him. "She's not going to become a gourmet meal for you."

"Ah, you're no fun," he whined.

"Ehem, mister, you are sick! How could you make 'gourmet meals' with humans and ghouls?!" I saw (Y/n) walk up to him, pushing him back, making him stumble slightly.

"Ah, a feisty one, even more delicious," Tsukiyama licked his lips. "This'll be fun."
