Kai's flight arrived just as expected on Sunday morning and when he collected his suitcase and made his way to where the arrivals were supposed to go, and to his delight, his parents were waiting there.

"Malachai!" Rebecca Hilton smiled, embracing her son.

William Hilton looked at his son and gave him an approving smile. The three of them made their way outside where there was a limo waiting for them. Eyes wide, Kai stepped inside the massive vehicle and sat down in between his parents.

"Anything to drink Malachai?" William asked his son and Kai merely replied by shaking his head. He didn't know how to bring up the fact that he didn't really like being called Malachai and would much prefer to be called Kai.

Once the limo pulled up in the driveway of the Hilton home, all three of them stepped outside and made their way into the home, Kai's suitcase trailing behind the boy as he brought it up to his room.

His room was very plainly decorated, his parents didn't know much about their son so they made his room as generic as possible. There was a large bed in the middle of the room with a bedside table beside it, then there was a wardrobe and a desk in the room also. As well as this there were some musical instruments. Connected to Kai's room was also an en-suite bathroom which was very minamalistic.

Once he had unpacked everything, Kai made his way downstairs to the dining room where Rebecca was plating up some sandwiches for the family to eat.

"Mom," Kai began, "can I ask you something?"

Rebecca Hilton nodded.

"You know how they all go back to school tomorrow," Kai said, "can I join them? Just so I have something to do whilst I'm here."

Rebecca nodded. "Of course Malachai, I'll make the call now."

Kai nodded appreciatively and began eating his sandwiches. It didn't take him long to devour the two ham and cheese sandwiches his mother had made for him and after guzzling down the juice his mom had also poured for him, Kai made his way upstairs.

He was unsure of what to do, without Takeshi here Kai felt extremely lonely. It would be early morning for Takeshi right now so Kai was planning to talk to him when he woke up.

Hey Takeshi, text me when you wake up!

Kai sent the message before finishing unpacking and putting all of his clothes into the wardrobe. A few hours later when Takeshi replied, the two of them started a video call, Takeshi was still in bed and looked very tired.

"Takeshi!" Kai said, waving into the camera.

"Hey Kai," Takeshi said groggily, "what do you want?"

"Just wanted to talk to you." Kai said.

"Well I'm tired." Takeshi complained.

Kai chuckled and the two of them had a long conversation about what Kai was going to do and how the each of them were going to cope without each other. The rest of the day passed extremely quickly and after Takeshi left to start his day, Sunday quickly faded into Monday...

Kai looked at the school in front of him nervously, as all the students arrived ready to get back into the normla schedule of school and greeted all their friends, Kai stood like a statue, unsure of what to do.

Muttering a few words on encouragement to himself, Kai began to walk into the school, trying to ignore all the looks he got.

"Isn't he the kid who was here for a week?"

"Why's he here again?"

"Where's his friend?"

Trying not to make eye contact with anyone, Kai walked straight towards where Homeroom was meant to be and when he entered, he nodded and smiled at the teacher.

"Welcome back Malachai!" the teacher said. "How long are you here for?"

Kai shrugged. "I don't know."

He made his way to a seat and sat down, he was the only person in the class right now. Once everyone started pouring in, they all noticed Kai. Hawk and Miguel were the first to notice him and they both looked at each other with confusion.

"You're back again?" Hawk asked menacingly.

Kai ignored him and looked forward.

Just then, she walked in. Samantha LaRusso, in all her beauty and glory, she walked in and when she saw Kai, her eyes widened. Kai took in the beauty that just radiated off her, she looked as stunning as ever. Seeing her again made him realise how much he cared for her.

How much he loved her.

Sam sat herself as far away as possible from Kai and the boy internally sighed, she was still mad.

"Good morning students and faculty!" a voice from the PA system said. "Welcome to a brand new year at West Valley High. I hope you all had a wonderful summer and are ready to dive back into the school year-"

Kai tuned out from listening and focused his eyes on Sam, who was looking out of the window. He wondered what had happened to her during those last couple of months since he had last saw her. He left near the beginning of the summer vacation and he was now back at the end of it.

Just then, a piece of paper hit his head. Kai turned and saw Hawk and Miguel laughing at each other. Kai picked up the scrunched up piece of paper and unfolded it to see what was inside.

On the paper was a rough drawing of a tiger and a snake, the snake seemed to be striking the tiger's eyes. Then scribbled on the side of the drawing were the words 'Cobra Kai is coming for you!'

Kai scoffed and scrunched the paper up and threw it into bin, it was an impressive throw. Just then the PA system started crackling and a different, familiar voice started speaking.

"Samantha LaRusso, you know what you did and now you're going to pay for it. I'm coming for you bitch!"

The bell rang to signify the end of Homeroom and all the students stood up, chatting and gossiping eagerly about what was going to happen. Kai looked over at Sam and then to Miguel, both of them had worried expressions on his face. The boy had a feeling that something bad was about to happen.

He jogged out the room trying to find Sam and make sure she didn't get hurt, and he found her in the distance. But before he could catch up, he could see Sam walking towards Tory, both of them looking extremely solemn. Tory had a sort of psypathic expression on her face as she walked towards the girl

All the students gathered to watch and murmured as the two girls drew closer and closer to each other. Kai stood worriedly at the edge of the square that had formed, students watching from all sides.

"I saw what you did at the party," Tory told Sam, "you kissed Miguel."

The students let out a collective "Ooh..."

Kai's heart broke, yet again. It seemed like Sam had no problem moving on after he had left. Kai's hurt eyes met Sam's, who looked apologetically at him. Even though she had done nothing wrong since they had called things off, Kai still felt hurt. Like a dagger had been stabbed in his chest.

Tory's face filled with anger and she charged towards Sam, trying to land a punch. Sam moved away from it as the students gasped.

The fight began and Tory immediately started attacking Sam, however hard Sam tried to defend herself, Tory get kept on hitting her. When Sam tried to move away, a few Cobras pushed her back in.

"Get back in there!"

When Tory threw Sam into the locker and punched, that was it for Kai, he jumped forward and pulled Tory away from Sam.

"I don't like to hit women..." Kai warned Tory but she didn't listen and tried to hit back, but Kai being the better fighter and stronger was able to pin Tory against the locker.

"STOP IT!" he yelled to her face, there was a flicker of fear in Tory's eyes. No one had never seen the Hilton boy like this before...

"Let her go!" a Cobra said, charging forward but Kai merely just kicked him away.

"HEY!" Miguel yelled, although Kai was trying to diffuse the situation Miguel couldn't see that and he tackled Kai to the floor.

The students gasped yet again.

"Haven't you learnt your lesson Diaz?" Kai said angrily, sending a series of punches towards Miguel.

"Oh it's on!" Hawk yelled before pushing away and punching students.

That was when manic broke out in the school corridor. Kai kept on punching Miguel and Hawk tried to join in, the two of them trying to double team Kai. That was when Robby stepped in, he started sending strikes at Miguel and Kai nodded at him.

"It's me and you then." Hawk smiled evilly at Kai.

With an intense fight between Cobras and Miyagi Do students, Sam and Tory, Miguel and Robby and Kai and Hawk, all the spectating students were trying their best to avoid being hurt. It was total carnage.

As the fight burst into the main entrance hall of the school, cameras were following the fights. Kai occasionally looked over at Sam and made sure she was ok. When he noticed Tory approaching her, with a variety of kicks and punches, he sprinted over towards her and ignored Hawk.

Hawk decided that there were better things to do that to chase after the Hilton boy whom he would ultimately lose to, so he began to search for his new target, Demetri.

"SAM!" Kai yelled, rushing over to Sam and trying to protect her. However, as he tried to push Tory off her, Tory spun around and her spiked bracelet that she wore on her wrist slashed Kai's face. The boy yelled in pain as blood streamed down his cheeks.

Sam looked at Kai, mortified, as Tory started approaching her. Using all the strength he still had, he punched Tory, trying to protect Sam. Tory, who had no care for rules, started using her spiked bracelet as a knuckle duster and Kai had to try extra hard to dodge her punches that were now going to be even more painful.

"LEAVE HIM ALONE!" Sam yelled, pushing Tory. "Your problem is with me! Not him!"

Admiring the act of bravery he had just seen from Sam, he scrambled away to try and avoid the incoming punches from Miguel. They were sending punches at each other when Kai noticed something.

Hawk and Demetri. Kai was just able to witness Demetri's extremely impressive kick, sending Hawk flying towards the trophy cabinet.

"Nice one," Kai shouted over to Demetri before looking at Hawk, "serves you right asshole."

Kai dodged just in time as Miguel tried to send another punch at Kai. Coming to help him, Robby joined in again.

"You're a dickhead," Robby growled at Miguel, "you know that right? Vandalising our Dojo...you and your Cobra Kais are a bunch of asshole!"

As Robby unleashed his anger, Kai got up and slumped against a wall. The pain from his face was slowly consuming him.

Everything seemed to fade to black...
