Eye of the Storm (Jatty One-Shot)
Huddled in his bed, Patty shut his eyes tightly. The thunder boomed as lightning lit up his dark bedroom, flashing a life of colour for just a moment. The blonde boy whimpered, pulling the covers over hisself further. He hated storms. They reminded him of bad things. The loud thunder of the lifeless bodies hitting the ground, the bright lightning of the gunshots, and the pitter patter of rain as the blood. It reminded him all too much, of everything.

Outside in the living room, Jason sat quietly on the brown sofa, staring out into the world on the other side of the glass. He loves storms, the way the loud thunder blocked out the world, and how the lightning would light up everything. The soft tapping of the rain would grow more and more intense, and then die down ever so quietly. It pleased him.

Patty sat up, running his hands down his face stressfully. He couldn't take it anymore. Whimpering lightly, he stalked out into the hallway to go to the restroom. During thunderstorms he would always go into the restroom and turn the sink on, to just hear the water running and nothing else.
Closing his eyes, Patty leaned back against the wall. The sink was running all the way on. A soft knock played at the door, followed by his name being called lightly.
"Patty? It's me, are you ok? Can I come in?" Jason slowly turned the knob on the door. There was the blue eyes boy, sitting and staring at the ground. He was shaking, whimpering slightly. Jason crouched next to him, turning the sink off.
"Leave me alone, I'll be fine." Patty said quietly. Jason sat down next to him, putting a hand on his shoulder.
"Hey I'm your best friend Patty. I'm not gonna just leave you here, terrified. I know why you're scared, I want to help you." Jason rubbed his friend's back in little circles. Patty shrugged, giving out a violent series of shivers. Sighing, Jason put one arm around the smaller man's back, and one under his legs.
"Jason...what are you doing..?" Patty looked alarmed, and grabbed his fluffy haired friend's arm. He yelped as Jason scooped him up, kicking open the bathroom door and starting down the hall. When they made it to the living room, he sat down with Patty on his lap.
"Jason explain to me what you're doing!" Patty said sternly, but had a slight smile on his face. Jason simply wrapped his arms around his friend's ribs tightly, hugging. Patty giggled, holding onto Jason's head. He was still scared, but it was better when he had a friend with him.
-
They had been sitting there in the same position, for a long time. It was normal for them, until Patty promised he felt a soft kiss from Jason planted on his neck.
"Jason..? What are you doing..?" he asked quietly, pulling away and looking down at the other boy. Jason looked up at him, shifting his position so that Patty dropped down quickly into his lap even more. The blonde boy squeaked and hugged Jason's neck tightly, before looking at him. They stared at each other's eyes for a while, smiling.
Giggling, Patty swung his legs back and forth softly. He bit his lip and flicked his eyes to Jason's lips, hoping he would get the idea. He did, and pressed them lightly to Patty's. The kiss was slow and lasted a long time. Jason turned his head slowly, and they both smiled into it. When they broke apart, they once again looked into each other's eyes.
"Jason I'm glad I have you."
"I'm glad I have you too, Patty."
