"I thought you didn't believe in love."

THE NEXT DAY WASN'T AS AWFUL AS THE FIRST, in fact I was looking forward to it. After Phil had dropped me off yesterday I felt a bit more giddy. It felt like I actually had a friend.

My mom and dad were too busy presenting my brother with a cake with his half birthday to even notice I was home. I stared at the scene with envy because my parents would never do that on my birthday. They thought sugary foods would hurt me if that made any sense. I ignored it, but when they asked where my brother's present was I snapped.

After a series of cuss words, threats and grabbing the table and throwing it across the room, I felt better. I just wanted to prove that I wasn't weak, that I was capable of doing what I wanted to. However, I realized I didn't prove anything because my mother still gasped over the cut on my fingers from the broken glass. I gave my brother a glare before I exited the household and spent my night on the park bench staring at the stars. My mother came after me and forced me back home though, so it didn't last as long.

"I see you actually made it on time today." I teased Phil as he sat next to me. He sent me an annoyed look as he reached in his bag and threw something my way.

I grabbed the pair of gloves. "Thanks for these. Hopefully they kept you warm." I commented, shoving them in my own bag.

"How was your day yesterday?" He asked me, Margret was running a bit late today I suppose. Her painful smile and awful shades of reds was something I was looking forward to today.

"Well I spent two hours sleeping on a park bench." I revealed, and his face turned to one of confusion.

"What happened?" Phil questioned looking genuinely interested. He leaned on his desk looking towards me, from the corner of my eye I saw Lia staring at me as well.

"Well I snapped at my parents and left." I kept it simple. What would he think of I had told him everything? 'My parents were celebrating my brother's half birthday and I grew envious and flipped the table when they asked for a gift.' Yeah, like hell I would say that.

"Harsh. What did they do?"

I scratched my forehead. "It's not important."

"Just tell-" Phil started but was cut off when Margret entered the room with a loud clap. Everyone turned to her but she locked eyes with me and her smile dropped, she turned her gaze away quickly.

"I am sad to announce that today's class is cancelled." She pouted. Everyone cheered though, getting out of their seats and rushing by her in a hurry. Any other words meant nothing to them.

"Daniel James Howell, you have to stay behind for a while." Margret called out, I felt a chill go up my spine. I never liked staying behind with a teacher, especially one as creepy as Margret. I turned towards Phil, hoping he would stay behind with me.

"I'll wait outside for you, don't worry." He smiled as if he were helping me. I wanted to ask him to stay but he had already left the room, leaving me alone with Margret.

"Uh...what did you need?" I asked, walking near her. She let her smile drop, and she looked more angry. I stepped back, she didn't even look human anymore. She looked like some sort of demon. She jumped towards me, trying to grab me and yank me towards her.

"Shit." I yelled , grabbing my bag and hitting her in the face with it. She fell to the floor but she growled. What the fuck is going on? This was bizarre, no matter how crazy I thought Margret was I didn't expect her to snap and attack me.

"What are you doing?" I yelled out to her but she only looked at me through the hair covering her face and began walking towards me. I cursed under my breath as I backed up. If I had powers I might be able to stand a chance and get rid of her.

"I'm going to slaughter you." She spat, trying to grabbing my neck, I painfully tore her off and shoved her backwards. Why was she doing this? What's going on? Sure, I was the quiet kid in the background but I don't deserve to be killed for it. Weren't there any security guards around here? I back up into her desk, and grabbed the first thing and threw it at her.

It was a mug that wasn't filled at all, it hit her head with a thud. She groaned grabbing her head in pain. I looked towards her desk for another weapon. I grabbed the textbook, running over to where she was and smashed it down on her head. She laid on the ground and I took this as a chance to run.

I ran down the stairs, and I wasn't sure if it was my imagination or reality but I heard her running down the steps. I bit my tongue, trying to stop my panicking. I rushed out the door where Phil stood waiting for me.

"Hey Dan, what did-" he asked calmly with a careless smile.

"Run." I cut him off, I grabbed his wrist and dragged him behind me. He tried to stop me but my fears pushed me further.

"What happened back there? What did you do?" He asked, with a bit a fear laced in his tone. Did he think I did something to her? I shook my head.

"She attacked me, she was going to kill me." I admitted, Phil managed to to stop me in my tracks and we both caught our breaths.

"What? Marget? No way." He denied the idea.

"I swear on my life, she tried grabbing me." I said, feeling my neck where she clawed me. I felt a bit of liquid on my neck and pulled my hand away to find it was smeared with blood.

His eyes widened. "What happened?"

"She grabbed me and...and I hit her with a textbook and ran." I summarized, still looking at the blood in fear.

"Why would she do that?" He asked in confusion. I shrugged looking at Phil who only looked behind me. I turned around and someone grabbed me quickly, pulling me to the ground.

"What the fuck?" I yelled in confusion, Phil jumped forward and tried to free me from the mysterious person.

"Get him too." A female's voice yelled out and a man grabbed Phil and shoved a bag over his head. I tried breaking free from the hold of the person holding me but their grip was too tight.

"Ugh this is causing way too much commotion. Troye just do your thing." The man who held Phil scoffed. Phil fainted falling limp in the man's arms.

"It doesn't work on him, just make him faint manually." The man told the person holding me, the person shoved a rag on my mouth  and soon I felt faint.

This is not how I expected this day to go. Margret tried to kill me and now I'm being kidnapped by some other people. Or are they just Margret's people? I'll find out soon when death stares me right in the eyes.
