**Author's POV**

It has been 2 days since Avneet has been searching for a house but she got no luck... She has only 1 house left to see... And luckily, she even liked it... It was nice and clean and has a friendly neighbor... Plus, it was in her budget...

Avni: Shall we close the deal?

Proprietor: Sure, just let me fill with form with your details and then you can give the advance...

Avni: Okay...

And he took out a form...

Proprietor: Your full name...

Avni: Avneet Kaur...

Proprietor: You husband’s name...

Avni: I don’t have a husband...

Proprietor: But you said you have a child...

Avni: Yes, Me and my husband, we are not together anymore...

Proprietor: Oh...umm... I think should wait a little before closing the deal... We have one more party to see the flat...

Avni: But I like it and I am ready to buy it right now...

And the proprietor kept quite... She sighed in disbelief...

And he again kept quite making her leave the place in pure disgust... When a couple get divorced, people don’t usually ask for the real matter... They just ask from the girl that what she did or how could she have saved the relation by ignoring his mistakes... Because no matter who is at fault, she is always considered guilty... Looks like the days of misery hasn’t been over yet... Neither for Avneet nor for Siddharth...

**Siddharth’s side**

Siddharth was out with Rohan and Rohan’s friends (Azaan, Ritwik) to a gaming zone... They played different games for an hour or two and then took a break for some drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic, both) …

Azaan: Heard about your divorce... So sorry for you man...

And Sid just gave him a sad nod hopping that everyone would understand that he doesn’t want to talk about it...

Ritwik: She was cheating on you with husband of your new band member... Right?

Azaan: Oh, I didn’t know that it was your new band member’s husband... Sad life huh...

Ritwik: I know right-

Rohan: Guys-

Ritwik: No, I mean, I can't believe getting cheated on by a woman...

Rohan: Stop it...

Azaan: There is nothing to be ashamed of... Don’t worry... You know what I know a perfect bimbo for you... You can hook up with her and show your wife that you are still a man...

Rohan: Azaan, you need to shut up...

Ritwik: Why are you being a baby Rohan... You would have given me the exact same advice if my wife would have cheated on me...

Rohan: He is not you... So, fuck off ...

Sid: I think I should leave...

And took his jacket to leave...

Rohan: Siddharth, no wait...

Sid: I will call you later... I should really go now...

And he left and Rohan left behind him but not before saying a few words to his friends...

Rohan: You guys just spoiled everything... It was supposed to be a fun night for him...

Azaan: We weren't wrong...

Rohan: Fuck you man...

And he left but unfortunately, he lost Siddharth- who have already left... Siddharth drove to Abhay’s office to forget about the events just happened... He was mocked for being cheated by his wife... He was asked to hook up with another woman to prove himself... If a man cheats on a woman, no matter how moral wrong it is; he is considered a stud while if he gets cheated on by a woman then how he is less of a “man” ... Anyways we can talk for paragraphs and paragraphs about this hypocritic society but unfortunately, we have a word limit... So, moving forward with the story Sid reached Abhay’s office and directly went to his cabin... Abhay is a Finance manager in an automobile company...

Abhay: Siddharth...

Sid: Hello dada...

Abhay: What are you doing here?

Sid: I was free and bored... So, thought about hanging out with you...

Abhay: Have you consider checking in if I was free?

Sid: Appko krna hi kya hota hai? Debit what comes in, Credit what goes out... Even I know that and I was an arts student...

Abhay (mimicking him): Debit what comes in, Credit what goes out... (normally) It's just 1st one out of the three golden rules of accounts and accounts is a lot more complicated that its three rules... So, shut up and sit here while I am done with my work...

And Sid sighed before sitting down quietly when his eyes laid on a white-blue envelope... He picked it up...

Abhay: Oye, its nothing of your concern... Keep it back...

Sid: Let me see at least...

Abhay: No, now keep it back...

.

But Siddharth neither less opened it, even after Abhay’s continuous try to stop him... As soon as he took out the card from the envelope, his jaw dropped and his eyes widen in shock... Next, he went silent; completely silent... He stared at the card for moment before sliding it back in the envelope...

Sid: She is getting married... Great... I am happy for her...

And he stood up to go but Abhay held his wrist...

Abhay: You don’t have to hide from me... I can understand that you are upset and mad and annoyed and shocked and its completely fine...

Sid: I am... I am jealous...

Abhay: huh?

Sid: Everybody is moving on in their life... Anushka and Riyaz- they are getting married... Avneet- She has a job for herself and is looking for a house of her own... Like everybody else know what to do and how to continue their life and here I am, I don’t even know how to tell my own daughter all this and even if I tell her; what is next? I don’t have any plan... People are getting settle and I am doing opposite of that...

Abhay: Who said definition of getting settled is getting married and having children... Plus, you already have a daughter... If you want to get married again then that is fine too...

Sid: No, that is not what I meant... I don’t want to get married again...

Abhay: Then what do you want to do?

Sid: That is my question... What do I want to do... Because don’t know what to do... I-I feel so incomplete and impatient and restless and distinct and alone...

Abhay: I am with you...

Sid: *sighs* You can never be with me in this...

And Abhay went speechless... Siddharth was right, no one, no one can be with him in this... That one invitation card triggered all the emotions he was trying to hide... He was lost and he didn’t know the way back...
