Episode 6 part 2 A Problem With Confidence
Setsuna was walking back to the Sports Center after the club had dismissed. He was not even a block away when across the street on the sidewalk a little girl, who was running, tripped and fell. He found himself stopping to watch as she rolled over and started to cry.
Her mother ran up to her seeming worried, but remained calm. "I told you not to run silly!" She sat her up and inspected the scrape on her knee. She then dug through her rather large purse, got out a water bottle, pored it onto her handkerchief, cleaning the cut, before also getting out a bandaid and gently sticking it on the small wound. She kissed it lightly making her daughter stop crying finally. "Now come on let's get home." She stood the little girl up, taking her hand, and started walking again.
A memory form a short time ago popped into Setsuna's mind as he looked forward again.
{Michiko leaned down and wiped a damp cotton-ball across the cut on his face, before undoing a bandaid and putting it over the small wound. "You may say it's not that big of a deal, but it's still deep enough to get infected so keep it clean."
He blinked a few times seeming surprised. He glided his finger tips against the bandaid before watching her as she turned back around and threw the trash in the waist bin.}
He snapped back to reality finding himself touching the spot on his face again before silently walking forward. He climbed the metal stairs and walked into the door emotionlessly. "I'm back!" He called.
"Welcome home!" Mamoru's voice sounded from a distance.
Setsuna walked down the hall and turned into the smaller, private part of the sports center throwing his bag into the old couch.
Mamoru stuck his head in the room. "Is curry fine for dinner?"
Setsuna plopped back onto the couch throwing his head back and looking to the ceiling with a sigh. "That's fine." He let the back of his hand drape over his eyes as he closed them. "Hey Mamoru..."
Before said cousin could walk away to start preparing dinner he stopped. "Yes?"
"What was your mother like?" The dark haired boy suddenly asked not shifting from his position.
"Uh-" the older male was taken aback by the question. "Well... she was really nice, always took good care of me, I guess..."
"Is that how all mothers are..?" Setsuna asked so quietly he almost didn't hear him.
"I suppose most are yes..." Mamoru answered. "Why are you asking all of a sudden?"
"No reason really." Setsuna grunted as he stood up again. "I'm gonna go take a nap call me when dinner's ready." He then grabbed his bag and walked up the stairs to his room without another word.
Mamoru watched him go, and felt a frown form on his lips.

It was Friday and Kenya had found his spot on the grass near the baseball field just before the game started.
Hinaga fixed the hat on her head, making sure her poney tail comfortably stuck out the back before turning around. She let her gaze scan around the field until they landed on him. She then smiled and waved enthusiastically.
He flashed a smile giving a small wave in return.
The players from both the teams then ran out on the field, taking position, and the game started.
Meanwhile Setsuna had walked across the grass with Atsuto, happily greeting a few people, behind him. He saw Kenya sitting in his spot and walked over behind him. He followed his gaze to the field and his eyes hit the exact spot where Hinaga was playing.
The known rebel sighed quietly he then kneeled down. "Hey nerd."
"Ah!" Kenya shouted almost falling over by the sudden noise right next to him. He then looked over a bit of panic still in his voice.
Setsuna wore a sly smile
"Hey hey." Atsuto waved happily from behind him.
"You damn delinquent, don't do that, you're gonna give me a heart attack one day." Kenya snapped.
Setsuna laughed and sat down next to him.
"What are you two doing here anyways?" Kenya asked as Atsuto sat as well.
"Well we do still need to spent time together outside of the club according to the principal's rules, and we knew you were coming here today, so now we're here too!" Atsuto explained.
"The girl's are getting drinks." Setsuna added, but then completely changed the subject. "I didn't know you were so into baseball." There was a teasing tone in his voice.
Kenya knew what he was getting at and glared. "You're point."
"Nothing really." Setsuna shrugged. "How long have you liked baseball?"
"Since middle school." He answered turning his attention back to the field.
Setsuna watched as Hinaga hit the ball out of the park and got a home run. The audience cheered and the players ran around the diamond. "Oh~ since middle school." His suspicions were only proven correct even more. "And have you ever attempted to get into baseball?"
"No. Baseball would never let me in even if I tried out, I'm not the right kind of person for baseball." Kenya answered violently. "Baseball is too great of a sport."
"Why do I feel like you guys aren't really talking about baseball?" Atsuto asked confusion forming in his head as he felt like he was still in the dark.
Before they could say anything else the girls walked up to them.
"Here ya go Kenya." Kaiya timidly kneeled and held the cold drink out to him.
He took his eyes off the game for a second to look at her before taking it. "Thanks." His eyes shifted over when Setsuna's voice sounded again.
"Awe how nice of you bookworm." Setsuna teased as he too took a drink from her.
"Shut up, I was getting them for everyone!" She snapped. They began to bicker a bit.
"Thanks Kurami this is my favorite!" Atsuto took the beverage. "How'd you know?"
"I didn't it was a coincidence." She replied coldly before sitting down and ignoring them all.
Kenya looked around at them all as Setsuna and Michiko were still verbally fighting, Atsuto was trying to talk to Kurami about fate while she ignored him or shot his enthusiastic personality down with her cold comments, and Kaiya sat and watched the game quietly, a small smile on her face.
He folded his knees up to his chest hugging them slightly.
What Sia had said to him suddenly popped in his mind.
"What you're club does is honestly really great. I bet you're glad you joined The Extra Credit Club right? I mean you get to be part of something that cool..."
He felt himself hug his knees closer as he started to think to himself.
What they are supposedly doing is great... all of them have their thing they are great at. And then there was him... he couldn't help but wonder, what was he good for..?
Suddenly, even thought sitting there he was surrounded by people, he felt completely alone...

Kenya walked to the club room that next Monday after a lot of time to think over the weekend. He hadn't waited for Kaiya again today. He figured it would be easier for him not to.
He stepped into the clubroom to see everyone, but said girl, was there already.
The other members all looked at him after a while of him just standing there, and the realization he wasn't with Kaiya.
"President." He said his tone off from his usual mood. He took a few more steps in pushing his bag's strap up into his shoulder. "I need to talk to you about something."
"Okay..." she trailed off, confused by his seriousness. "What is it?"
He looked to the ground for a few more seconds of silence before he let out a breath through his nose and suddenly looked her in the face. "I'm quitting the Extra Credit Club."
Hey guys, oh~ I left it on a cliffhanger, sorry. Not really though XD. I'll try to have the next part up soon. Ah Kenya! Why?! Anyway tell me you're opinions so far. Vote and comment, bye!
