Togo Asagaki, aka  Red, formerly of the  Kizuna Five. The tansforming heroes of his world gained their power from bonds, bond energy.  Working together to save humanity from the Relationship Enders, risking it all in their altruistic service.  Red fought to his final breath to destroy the Break Up King.

It sounded so simple a hero straight out of Saturday morning cartoons sacrificing himself in the final battle...

But there was far more below the surface of his smile, and his story was far from over.... The suppressed abandonment issues,  suffocating guilt of the losing one team member, anxiety chipping away at him with the terror of loss possibly visiting him once again.

"The warrior of bonds" couldn't stand being alone, he was someone who wanted to forge bonds with everyone he encountered. Someone willing to risk his life to prevent someone else dying because of him.

 
The hole in his heart would only grow when he woke up alive in another world. One radically different from the one he knew, where his normal, his antics were the outlier..

The inhabitants who didn't believe him when he said he came from another world. Who couldn't stand the hot-blooded hero who approached everything with excessive enthusiasm. On top of that, he wasn't capable of consistently summoning  his  power due to the shaky bonds he had with the people of this new world.

Forcing him to call upon something he feared with all of his fractured heart when things were dire.  The power, the trauma that would consume him time and time again until the day his coping mechanisms and outside assistance finally failed him.
