#A Rising Star!

She is a princess whose story about the prince - The Crowned Prince, is extensively read and highly praised. A passionate writer and a warm personality; Aarushi Singh is a rising star, is a great story teller in the contemporary times.

I am priveleged to have a few words with her and much delighted to introduce Aarushi in my first episode of Explore Writers. I am hopeful this conversation will grow many phases as the world will start noticing this rising star!

Abhipsa: First of all a very big congratulations for on 1k followers!

Aarushi: Thank you.

Abhipsa: Tell me something about your writing journey. how did everything started?

Aarushi: Actually I am a bibliophile and a great fan of Hindi Novels so it justifies my love for the stories of Munshi Premchand. I have an imaginary mind so as usual, my mind would start to make it's own story after reading one. I tried writing four years back but you know my writing is messy and I am not a great fan of writing by hand. So it stopped there. But few years back I encountered wattpad couple of years back. And reading here was awesome. This year when my mind was going haywire due to my boards so just to make peace with my situations , I started writing Cute But Violent and it was a stress buster plus here I had to type so no tension about my weird writing style.

Abhipsa: That's great!

Abhipsa: Has writing always been your passion, or you want it as your career?

Aarushi: It's like a hobby if which I am capable, more like a escape from real world, some irritating people, nosy neighborhood and pointed eyes of my sweet mom. I have some different idea for my career and yeah it's not medical or engineering. I don't have that much guts to tolerate physics and chemistry more.

Abhipsa: Okay. So what do want to become? Glad to know that you are thinking out of the box.

Aarushi: So don't frown on my over exaggerating dreams, but public administration is something I want to pursue. Receiving my job training in LBSNAA is my dream.

But hashh!!!

It's not a piece of cake, this piece of cake is full of chilies.

Abhipsa: Oh! Okay. That's intersesting.

So moving on...

You have been on Wattpad for more than a year and also on other social media website. So for you, social media is a blessing or a curse.

Aarushi: It depends on the people you meet. Wattpad is a beautiful place for me, I got so many friends here including you. But also I met couple of irritating people here but being a Bihari I am pro in cursing, I am like: If you will be good with me I will return the favor with extra humbleness but just mess with me I will rip you apart. On the other hand, it taught us to tackle different people too. Good or Bad.

So yeah it's been good time on social media.

Abhipsa: 😊

Abhipsa: Does your family support you for writing and publishing books? Do they read your stories?

Aarushi: Just recently I told them about writing, I could see the proud glistening in my mom's eyes on seeing 1 lakhs views. And it felt so good. She agreed on publishing my books officially, I will do it after couple of years after some minor editing. And they don't read my story, thank god. I don't want to embarrass myself when they will read the passionate scenes of my mind.

Abhipsa: TCP has been a great success on Wattpad. How and where did you get the idea or the inspiration of writing historical fiction as there are people who don't appreciate mythology or historical fiction?

Aarushi: Well it's not a historical fiction neither a mythological story.

Abhipsa: Oh! So which genre would you put the story in?

Aarushi: You can put in under mystery, romance and adventure genre. i am am also confused soul.

Abhipsa: Hmm...

What kind of research do you do, and how long do you spend researching before beginning a book or a chapter?

Aarushi: Sorry, I think I made things awkward with you 😃 don't mind. I will share how I started this story

Abhipsa: Would love to hear...

Aarushi: I am telling the background story in detailed way, don't get bored. I am from a Rajput family of East India(yeah! I am not a Rajasthani, heck I haven't been there but no matter what I love that place.) So I was searching some traditional manufacturers of swords in Rajasthan over my internet for some family purpose and then I forgot about my work and started reading about Jaipur and came to know about Padmnabh Singh, the current king of Jaipur. And within one week an idea popped up in my mind. Lockdown was going on so I spent later 2 months (total 3 months) on searching about Rajasthan. Culture, food, language, lifestyle, etc. And Boom!!! The story of hot and handsome Adhiraj Singh Rathore and beautiful headstrong Raina started.

Abhipsa: Interesting! So, what was your hardest scene to write?

Aarushi: Most difficult was to write Raina past. Imagining a detailed murder scene is not easy, because when a writer imagines, she/he put herself as the main lead in imaginations. I cried badly like three times while writing so had to endure runny nose too and I avoided it writing in night even when I had time just like I do with horror movies.

Abhipsa: Yeah! that was a very emotional chapter. It made me cry and other readers too.

Abhipsa: How did publishing your first book change your process of writing?

Aarushi: It didn't change my way of writing but it changed the way of my thinking. Now my thoughts are not mere random daydream, they have a goal of getting include in my story.

Abhipsa: That's a great improvement!

Aarushi: Thank you.

Abhipsa: This question is my favourite.

Do you think someone could be a writer if they don't feel emotions strongly?

Aarushi: Actually I am still amateur to answer this question but as per my analysis you can't convince your readers about your character's situations when you are the one who can't feel it. And that writing will lack the essence, readers can't feel the character that time. And at that moment be ready with a strong body to endure rotten eggs and tomatoes from readers. 🤣

Abhipsa: Absoluteley correct. But as a teenager you have inspired a lot of young amateur writers. And that includes me...😊

Aarushi: Glad to know that.

Abhipsa: Well, you are a student as well, apart from a writer. How difficult is it to manage both things? And I must say you manage it beautifully as you update regularly.

Aarushi: Lockdown has ruined my life dude, I can't concentrate on my studies because I am not getting the required enthusiasm now but I am trying and I know I will do it just I need a little push. Because that's what I did in my 10th standard boards. I studied seriously in last 3 months only and scored 90+ easily. And where the thing came to management then I am an introvert person, I don't go out other then for my coaching classes and TV doesn't fascinates me now so the only thing I do is to scroll through Insta or to write stories . This way my life is going on for now.

Abhipsa: Ok. So, talking about enthusiasm...

Does writing energize you or exhaust you?

Aarushi: Writing calms me down, it puts my mind to peace. Sometimes it exhausts me and sometimes it energizes me, it depends on what I am writing.

Abhipsa: Hmmm...it's understandable.

Do you believe in writer's block?

Aarushi: Yeah. I do as it happened with me too. It happens when you can't put your mind in writing and it irritates you to the hell. Seriously that time was tough. It's hard but calming yourself through other means is the only option

Abhipsa: Now let's talk about your favourites.

Aarushi: Okay. I am ready.

Abhipsa: What are your favourite literary journals?

Aarushi: Actually no one dude. Don't look at me weirdly but none. Just read few in my school's magazine and found it boring.

Abhipsa: What is your favourite childhood book? Would you like to share your memory attached to it?

Aarushi: My most loved books are the novels I won in competition, the respect that you get along with it is something surreal. The proud face of my parents and teachers added the cherry on the top. 🙂

Abhipsa: Aww...so sweet.

Abhipsa: do you have any favourite author? or any author/writer you admire?

Aarushi: Bankimachandra Chatterjee, Rabindranath Tagore, Munshi Premchandra are three traditional writers I adore most.

Abhipsa: oh! was not expecting...

Aarushi: Why?

Abhipsa: At his age people are not very interested in their writings...as far as people whom I know.

Aarushi: I started my reading journey with their story only

Abhipsa: That's amazing!

Aarushi: You won't believe I had a 80 years old book of Bankimchandra Chatterjee and I have preserved it.

Abhipsa: Woww!!! I t must be precious

Aarushi: Emotionally yes.

Abhipsa : I can understand.

Ok...now it's bit silly question... but I like doing it a lot.

What are your favourite munchies while reading a book or watching a movie.

Aarushi: Nothing.. I rarely eat anything other than meals. (I am not boring.okay!!)

Abhipsa: Last but not the least. If your book, The Crowned Prince, was selected for Wattpad studio or was made into a film. whom all would you want to play the characters? Will it be the same as given in the book?

Aarushi: Yeah dude same. Maybe I would like to replace Arjun Bijlani with Rohit Khandelwal fir the play of Adhiraj.

Abhipsa: Ok. But I think Arjun has that royal vibe.

Aarushi: okay. I got it.🙂

Abhipsa: Hmm

So here we come to an end. I hope you enjoyed.

Aarushi: Yepp. I enjoyed very much

The End
