Marie's POV
~6:27 pm ~

I played with my fingers nervously. The air was so quiet and tense, only the sound of the wind passing us by could be heard.

"So what if I was at J. K. Corporations? What's it to you?" I finally asked. Although I knew it's because his brother owns the company and stuff like that, I do want to hear his side of the story.

I turned to look at him and his hands were clenched tightly to the steering wheel and they were turning as white as a fading ghost.

I sighed, maybe it's not right to talk about this... I certainly don't want us to run off the road.

Jaime's POV

I can't believe Julian would stoop so low to take in high school girls as models! He's such a twerp!

How could Marie be so idiotic to show off her body like that to him? I'm not judging! She's so beautiful and quite comfortable in her body, she'd be a lovely jaw-dropping model.

But for him! I don't want her to model for him! He'll take advantage of her situation and I just know it in my gut!
She doesn't know what she's getting herself into.

I glanced over at Marie and saw her leaning her head on the door. Her breathing had evened out and her eyes were closed. Her small frail hands were gently clenched together and held close to her heart. I smiled, she looked so innocent and beautiful, and one day she'll be mine...

The song blasted out from inside Marie's backpack. I looked to her and saw she was still asleep so I skillfully picked up her bag and searched for it. It was in the front pocket and I quickly pulled over and answered it. I know it's rude to answer someone else's call, but what if it's urgent.

"Hello?" A woman's voice answered.

"Umm, hi?" I answered unsure of what to say.

"Who are you? Where's Marie?"

"This is one of her friends from school, she's asleep right now..." I trailed off.

"Asleep?" She questioned confused.

"Yes ma'am I picked her up and I'm on my way to drop her home," I carefully explained.

"But, as to think of it... She fell asleep before she could tell me where to go..." I muttered.

"Oh! Ok, but please hurry! Nathan is a bit ill!" She exclaimed in a rush and quickly told me the address and hung up.

Something must have been wrong for this woman to be so frantic. I quickly put her phone in its place and hurried to take her home.

"Marie!" I whisper-shouted to her as I focused on the road ahead of me.

She stirred and moan, then fell back asleep. She looked quite cute actually.

"Princess, wake up!" I tried again.

"Urggghhhh, what do you want!" she groggily shouted.

I smirked at her angry face, she looked so adorable.

"Aren't you a ray of sunshine," I taunted with a smirk.

"You were so bored alone, you just had to wake me up," she muttered and curled up to the door.

"Ahh if only that was true," I dreamily sighed.

"Idiot!"

"Someone called on your phone, and I think it was quite urgent, because someone named Nathan, he's sick or something so.," I explained.

"You answered my phone?!" she incredulously asked.

"Well, yeah...." I trailed off and passed my left hand through my messy hair.

"That's so rude of you!"

"I didn't want to wake you up! You were looking so peaceful..." I reasoned with a half smile.

She quickly went into her bag and took out her phone. Her eyes went wide in shock.

"Can you drive a little faster! I need to reach there!" she suddenly exclaimed in a rush.

"I thought you were all for safety princess," I teased.

"To hell with safety! He needs me!" she burst out with pleading eyes.

I knew something was definitely wrong. I pressed harder on the gas peddle and swerved passed ever car on the highway to get her home.

"I hope he's alright," she silently whispered to herself, but I heard.

I wonder who this Nathan guy is... Maybe he's a relative or family member... Or maybe a lover...

What am I thinking!

Seven minutes and thirty-five seconds later I pulled up in front of a huge white house. A woman dressed in a floral dress was pacing up and down the patio, she must be the one that called.

"Is everything okay?" I asked Marie.

"I hope so... Thank you for driving me, I owe you one," she said with a worried smile and ran out the car in a rush.

I hope everything is alright...

Marie's POV

I ran up the patio to Lola.

"Where is he?!" I frantically exclaimed.

"Thank goodness you're here, the Doctor is inside with Nathan right now..." she sighed stressfully.

I hurried through the door and up to the room. There I saw a man, the doctor I presume, he held Nathan's hand in his and was checking his heartbeat.

I gasped, "What's wrong with him?" I asked and rushed to his side.

"There's nothing to worry about, he just has the fever, which caused him to suddenly faint away. I'll prescribe these medicine for you to get for him for instant recovery," he professionally stated and wrote something in a piece of paper and handed it to me.

"Don't stress too much young one, he's gonna be just fine," he reassured and walked out the room.

I suddenly let out the breath I didn't know I was holding and instantly went to Nathan's side. I grabbed his tiny little hand and his fingers curled around my own.

I smiled, "I don't know what I'll do if I ever lose any one of you," I muttered and gently kissed his forehead.
