Prologue.
A growl from behind me signaled that he was awake.
Heh heh. Perfect.
"Good morning, Thomas~!" I called in a sing-songish voice, smirking. "How did you sleep? Well? Oh, wait."
I turned around, staring at the man behind the unbreakable bars.
"That's right. I don't care." I loved to mock him. It was one of my most favorite ways to mess with him, because I know he hated it. I knew he hated me.
And I hated him, too.
"Hungry," he snarled, pacing on all fours in his cell. Well, he called it a cell. I liked to call it a cage. He always snapped at me for that.
"You'll have to wait. Edd's not up yet."
He growled again, sitting down in the middle of the room and curling up.
"Feed me."
"Ah, always so demanding. Tsk tsk, Thomas. Who's the leader here?"
"You mean imprisoner?"
"I like leader better."
He scoffed at that reply, lifting his head from his paws. "Because you don't like any of my ideas or names."
"Why don't you think, huh? Hmm... Oh, that's right. I don't care." I wanted to make him regret saying that all the time through high school. I wanted to make him regret everything he ever and will ever say.
"Don't you ever understand when it stops becoming clever?" Tom hissed, venom in his voice. "Well, here's some information. It ended a long, long time ago."
"As long as you've been my pet, perhaps?"
"I am not your pet."
"Are to."
"NEVER!" He jumped up, bolting to the bars and curling his claws around them, baring his sharp teeth at me.
"Violent much?" I chuckled. I knew he could never hurt me. I had the upper hand in this situation.
He snapped his jaw full of sharp teeth at me, as if he was trying to intimidate me. Ha! He couldn't ever, ever intimidate me.
He had failed and I had won.
A/N
So, I'm going to try this. I'll write a few chapters and see how it's taken. Depending on that, I'll either finish it or leave it. I love criticism and encouragement! Please tell me if you like it, and I will certainly make more!
See you later!
