    I was huddled in a ball on the floor rocking back and forth when I hear banging outside my door. Then it opened. It was dark so I couldn’t see what was going on. I heard my cell door open and some people shoved inside “Ow.” I hear some girl say. I turn into the direction I heard the voice and felt around. “Hello?” I say reaching out in the dark. I hear a shuffle on the floor and a whimper. I reached out and grabbed the only light source the scientists gave me, a little electric lantern. I turn it on and see and girl about my age cowering in a corner. But there was a difference, she had wolf ears and I had cat. She had blonde hair that went down to her chest with some red streaks, her eyes were golden with hints of brown, and she was wearing the same gown I was. I smiled I friendly smile “Hi.” I say. Still in the corner she waves. “Hi.” she says in a small voice. “How long have you been here.” I ask. She thinks for a moment then says “I can’t remember.” She says then starts crying. I crawl over to her since we were sitting down and I hug her. Before I knew it I was crying too. Then we were startled by a loud booming voice from outside “Hey you kids better be quiet or I’ll come in!” We stopped crying immediately.”Well ok whats your name.” I say she thought again then I realized that I don’t know what mine was either. Then the girl pulled on a collar that was on her neck it said “ Moon .W Light ”. “....Moon?” I say and something clicks in her brain. “Yea.” she says. I paused so this has our name on it. I looked at my collar just barely able to see the name “Ash .C Claw “. I couldn’t remember if that was my name or not, but it sounded right. Then I heard a shuffle in another corner. I turned around and saw another girl. She had fox ears and tail and black hair. Her collar said “Russet .F Fang"

    After a while Moon, Russet, and I talked for a while and became close. Turns out that we were the same age a were taken at the same time. I knew how long we were here just because I put tally marks on the wall, 5 months. We made a makeshift bed out of the things we had in the cell on the floor. We had only two blankets and 3 pillows so we had to make the best of it.

    We woke up to a Banging on the cell door. “Ash, Russet, Moon come with me.” Dr. Jamlond says “Why should we.” Moon snarled. “You should or my men will take you by force.” he says “Your threats don’t scare me anymore.” I say calmly. “Fine.” he says and snapped his fingers.Then three large men come through the door and grab us out of the cage. We stayed calm while they were carrying us to the lab. They set us down and attached our handcuffs to the chair. “Let us go.” Russet says calmly but with a hint on hate in her voice. “I’m sorry but if you leave and are seen then they will put you down and you wouldn’t want that. Besides I have a suprise here for you.” Dr. Jamlond says. “What?” I question. I have always been a curious cat ever since I was injected with the serum. “Well you’ll be happy to know that you are going to start school with the other hybrids.”. I drop my jaw with shock. “No this is not true is it?” Russet says. “Yes it is. Even though you’re all a hybrid and test experiment, that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t get the proper education.” Our eyes widen and we lean over and hug him. It would have been tighter if it weren’t for the handcuffs. “Thank you.” I whisper in his ear “Oh and by the way I hope you like your names.” he says “Eh.” says Moon “Well anyway your room will be filled with clothes and you will start school. And by the way keep this between me you and the other hybrids and besides the school is only for a little” he says. We look at him suspiciously but shrug it off and go back to our cell after Dr. Jamlond uncuffed us.
