The Hogwarts Express
"Rosie, Rosie, today we go to Hogwarts!" Hugo was jumping on my bed.
"Can you- get- off-" he continued to jump. "Hugo! Hugo get off!" He jumped off the bed and ran downstairs.
"Mom Rose is being mean." Hugo is so immature for his age. Sometimes I pretend I'm not related to him. Although it's really hard since we both have unique features.
"Rose please come down stairs and get ready it is 8:30. You are going to miss the train and we still have to stop at the Burrow to see Charlie and Sam. Grandma Molly is cooking breakfast. Then everyone is going by portkey. Also be nice to Hugo, he is just excited about going to school."
"Ok mom." I groaned and managed to get out of bed. Normally I wake up at a decent time but since Dad and I were out late I lost track of time.
I had my trunk packed for weeks. Everything was in there except my wand which I keep with me at all times. It became a habit after always seeing Mom and Dad do it. It's like they think someone is going to attack them at any given moment.
I pulled on a pair of jeans and a light blue sweater. I grabbed my Deathly Hallows necklace from my bedside table and began to brush my hair. The necklace had a Deathly Hallows symbol on it and had a tag with some words engraved on it: three brothers were traveling down a road at midnight.
I threw the brush down on my bed in frustration. "Why is my hair so untamable." I decided to give up and let my hair be as messy as it wanted to be; it's not like anyone hasn't seen it before.
"Are you finished Rose?" Mom called from downstairs.
"Yes I am, can you help me with my trunk perhaps?"
"Oh yes dear sorry."
In two seconds she was in my room going through my trunk to see if I had everything. "Your father is doing the same with Hugo so-"
"No he's not."
"How do you know?"
"Because it's Dad."
"True point. Wingardium Leviosa." My trunk rose up and followed my mom down the stairs to the kitchen, where as I expected, Hugo and Dad were eating some fizzing whizbees. "Told you."
"Ronald we are about to have breakfast at your mothers. Please stop eating candy."
"We were hungry Mom." Hugo said.
"I don't care and we are apparating today so everyone hold on to me." As we did so I screamed out "Wait I forgot Pheonix. Pheonix come girl."
Our two cats Crookshanks and Pheonix jumped from around the corner. "Bye Crookie, come on Pheonix." I said. Pheonix was my cat and Crookshanks was mom's. We also had this really annoying owl named Pig and a toad named Trevor. The toad was Hugo's, I didn't want to take that slimed thing home but it was Hugo's pet.
"Rosie next time remember your pets or they will stay here." Mom said. "Now does everyone have everything."
There was a chorus of 'yes's' and we appearatted to the burrow.
*~*~*~
Grandma Molly had a giant breakfast ready for us and Grandpa Arthur was drinking some tea and reading the Daily Prophet.
"Ah, your here. I invited a few of your friends to come and join us." Grandma said.
"The more the merrier." Mom replied. We entered the living room to see who was here.
I could barely see anything because there were people everywhere. The parents were in the kitchen and the kids were in here.
Over heads I could see Louis, Fred, Roxanne, Victorie, Dominique, Lily, Albus, Lucy, Molly, Lorcan, Lysander, and my best friend Alice. I ran over there and made a strange squealing sound.
"Alice, oh my gosh how was Rome?" I asked.
"Hey Rose, um Rome was ok."
"Do you have any photos? I've never been to Rome." I said.
"I need to tell you something but we can't talk here." She said.
"Ok how about the attic. We got rid of the ghoul a few years ago."
"Sure lets go." We headed up the stairs trying not to be seen. The house had a bunch of random junk all over it. Grandpa and Grandma had never bothered to clean out their kids stuff so it was still sitting in their rooms. I was the only one who found this cool; you could literally see what our parents' life was like when they were our age.
When we got to the attic she pulled me in quickly. "Alice what's wrong?"
"Ok, whew. Well, Mom and Dad got in a divorce." She said. How could this happen. Neville and Hannah have been married for almost 19 years, but I knew it wasn't a very close relationship. To be honest I really thought they would divorce sooner. I still had to be a good friend and support her, they are her parents.
I'm so sorry Alice. That's gotta be tough for you. Do you know what's going to happen next?" I asked.
"During the school year I will be with dad since he works at the school and during the summer mom said I could work part time at the Leaky Cauldron with her.
"That's cool I guess, it sound like nothing is really changing much for you anyway." I tried to shed some light on the situation, I would rather have her happy on the train than sad. "Have you had breakfast yet? I heard Grandma Molly made pumpkin cinnamon buns."
"I have and FYI they were really good, but huge. I split one with Albus. Roxie hasn't eaten yet. Go catch up with her I need to say bye to mom for the year." Alice said.
"OK thanks!"
As I started down the stairs Alice called me again. "Hey Rose one more thing, I sort of have a tiny crush on Albus." It's not like this is news to me. It's obvious, I'm surprised Al doesn't even know!
"I know, and by the way, I'm pretty sure all of Hogwarts does too."
"What does that mean?" I ran back down the stairs before I could answer her last question.
Alice was right, these buns were huge, delicious, and Roxie hadn't eaten yet. When we finished it was almost ten. "Hurry up girls or you will miss the train." Aunty Angelina called from the front door.
"In a second mum," Roxanne called back. "She can be pain sometimes, Rose."
"I love your mom, but whatever."
"Get in here now, Charlie and Sam are here!" Angelina screamed. This bit of news however got us eager to jump out of our chairs and race to where the family was huddled up giving hugs to my uncle and greeting his daughter.
The swarm of family was way to much for my liking so I just decided to watch until the crowd settled and everyone headed to the cars. I tried to see what Sam looked like but it was hard with all the redheads circling the area. At one point I thought I saw my mom get trampled by the boys. It's official: the Rose way of doing things is better than any other.
One by one they headed out to the muggle cars and this was my chance. "Uncle Charlie," I called before he got the chance to leave with the rest of them.
"Have I missed one? I don't recall having this many siblings. But then again dad could never keep track of us and I've been away for so long." Charlie Weasley was exactly like I expected him: scars and burns running up and down his arms and legs from repeated dragon accidents, fiery red hair like me, bright blue eyes like me, and a bucket-load of freckles again, like me.
"No, don't worry you haven't missed anything much. I'm Rose Weasley, daughter of Ron and Hermione, and sister of the annoying little parasite Hugo." The look of epiphany on his face was like he had just seen angels swooping down from heaven.
"I can't believe I haven't put it together. You have the red hair, freckles, blue eyes, long nose, and height of Ron and the hair quality of Hermione. Are you much like my youngest brother?" He asked.
"You could say we were twins, except my brains, I get my intelligence from mom." I said, like it was something I say all the time.
"Well, now let me introduce you to my daughter, Samantha. But she prefers to be called Sam. Sam, come meet your, I think. last cousin."
A tall pretty girl walked over to us. She had a sweet face, but I can tell she was no girly-girl. Her hair was a dirty blonde with a tint of red towards the roots. Her eyes however were a bright green, something she must have inherited from her mother.
"Hello...?"
"Rose."
"Ah yes your brother told me to look for you. Anyway hi, I'm Sam. I am going into my seventh year with a few of our cousins as you know, and I am not allowed to say what house I was sorted into because its a surprise. You seem trustworthy so you get to be the first to know that I am a....... Gryfindor." She said. I wasn't really taken aback by that, last night at dinner everyone was talking about what house she would be in. Based off what we know about her it seemed to true that she would be in the famous "Weasley" house.
"Coolio--"
"Sorry to interrupt but I'm afraid we have to join the others or we will be late." Charlie said.
"Oh yeah, ok lets get going then," Sam said. We turned towards the door and out to the nice new muggle cars. We would be riding to King's Cross in style.

The clouds were dark and gloomy. They covered the Earth like a blanket. It was not a fine day anymore. There was also a feeling of evil, regret, revenge, and dark magic in the air. I decided to forget about it and continue to be happy about going to school again. It was hard though, especially when your Uncle, the chosen one, was complaining about his scar hurting again.....
