Chapter Fourteen: Home

Emma's POV
~ August 16th ~

Killian was discharged 10 days ago and we immediately began packing up the house to move to Boston. We had found the perfect house within two hours of searching online and we had already went out and viewed it.

Today was the day we were moving into our new home.

It was all rushed, moving vans appeared and friends came over to help and say goodbye. Being four months pregnant and moving was new to me but I just took it easy and lifted the small boxes. The men lifted the heavier things whereas me and the girls just took lots of coffee breaks.

After finally packing up and sending away everything in the moving vans, we got the kids into the car and walked into our home one last time.

"I'm going to miss this place."

"Me too, but we will make new memories in the new house love."

"Sophie came home here. She took her first steps here, said her first words."

"And we'll cherish that. But think about all the other milestones we will have in Boston?"

"I'll miss all our friends. We have to visit regularly."

"And we will, now come on. The drive to Boston awaits."

"Yay."

I smiled sarcastically as we left he house for the last time and handed the keys over. I felt tears from in my eyes, making my vision cloudy, but I sucked it up and go into the car.

"Next stop Boston!"

.......

After a four hour drive, we saw the sign saying we are entering Boston. All the kids had fallen asleep because they assumed staying up with me and Killian was a boring idea.

We stopped for fuel then drove towards our new home. Within a few minutes, we arrived and pulled into the driveway.

We got out and tapped the boys awake and lifted Sophie from her car seat.

"Welcome home guys."

I walked into our new home with the boys and Sophie hand in hand as Killian directed the moving vans which just arrived.

"Mom, this place is amazing!"

"I know right! Your new school isn't too far away and we actually have neighbors this time around so don't be shy and make new friends."

I showed the boys where their new rooms would be and then we walked out to the backyard.

"We have a pool!"

"Yeah we do, but it will only be open from spring to the end of summer before it had to be closed over for the colder weather."

"Can we go in later?"

"Sure, for now go unbox your stuff. The moving guys will be setting up your furniture soon."

Henry and Liam ran up the staircase and into their new rooms. Sophie ran around the living room as fast as her little feet could carry her. In this house we had a bigger kitchen and two living rooms so one of them was going to be a family room where we would spend most of our time. Which meant more furniture and more mess to deal with.

"Well love, welcome home."

"Home, with you. I never thought it would happen again. I thought I'd lost you forever."

"Well you didn't, and I'm sorry that I caused so much trouble."

"Don't worry, at least your here now."

We both hugged and I lifted Sophie up and placed her on my waist.

"How happy are you that daddy's back?"

She giggled and spread her arms out wide which made me and Killian laugh.

"Smart girl, I missed you that much and I'm so happy I'm back."

......

"You ready love?"

"Are you sure we should be going out? I mean we just moved in and the kids probably want to have an early night."

"Yes we are. My aunt Liz didn't travel over here for nothing."

"But if-"

"No ifs No buts No coconuts. We are going out tonight and we are going to enjoy ourselves."

"Coconuts?"

"Emmaaa!"

"Okay okay. Let me go upstairs and change."

"But you are already dressed beautifully Swan."

"I'll only be a few minutes."

I kissed Killian's cheek and ran up the stairs and found my box of dresses amongst the mess in the bedroom. I picked out a black knee length dress that snuggled my waist. My little bump showed through making me smile. After slipping on some small heels I headed downstairs.

"Wow, you look-"

"I know. Now come on, I'm getting hungry."

"Okay, goodbye boys, bye Soph! We'll see you tomorrow when you wake up."

Me and Killian both kissed Sophie on her cheeks and waved to the boys before eventually leaving the kids with Liz, who had just arrived over here less than an hour ago.

We arrived at a restaurant and we got seated straight away. After ordering food we both sighed.

"Don't you realise what day it is?"

"Of course I do. But I didn't realise it still meant something, I mean we aren't married anymore."

"Well, I still care. It's been a whole two years and it's worth celebrating."

"Two years ago I was a month pregnant with Sophie. Now that is scary."

"Yeah, and you hid it from me!"

"I'm sorry but I wanted to surprise you."

"It was one of the best presents I had ever received."

There was something about the whole conversation topic that seemed uneasy. Maybe because it's been more than a year since we went on a proper date and I was just rusty or Killian was rusty too.

"Screw it."

He stood up from his chair and stood beside me.

"What are you doing?"

"I've already done this before, but it's only fair I do it again. For us, for our relationship, for our family. I'm not going to ask the question, but please just accept."

He got down on one knee and lifted a black velvet box from his pocket.

"Okay, I lied I am asking a question."

"Killian-"

"Emma Swan, will you re-marry me?"

My heart pumped a million times faster and I felt my blood pressure go through the roof. All the other couples in the restaurant had turned to look at us as I froze, words unable to come out of my mouth.

"Emma?"

"I-I."

I saw Killian's smile begin to drop as he assumed I wasn't going to accept.

"I would love to re-marry you."

He smiled again and we both stood up as he placed the ring upon my finger, taking off the old engagement ring. I couldn't hold in my excitement as I immediately kissed him and everyone in the restaurant clapped. After a big commotion, we sat back down to eat our meal and then left before it got too late.

We headed straight for the beach, sitting on a bench when we arrived because my feet began to hurt. All I could do was admire the diamond on my finger, and replaying then moment in my head. Killian had proposed before and we even got married, but something about this time around just made it feel magical. We had been through so much and we still managed to end up back together.

"Are you cold?"

"Just a little."

With a few tugs, Killian took off his jacket and wrapped his around my shoulders to jeep me warmer, I rested my head on his left shoulder and he rubbed my arm to create even more heat.

"It's been a crazy month."

"You've got that right."

"All that's left to do is wait for this little peanut to arrive. Do you know when your scan is?"

"Oh next week. I had to push it back again because of the move."

"It's alright, just remember to take it easy."

"I will, thank you."

Killian took out the old engagement ring from his pocket and I took it out of his hands and stood up.

"Emma what are you doing?"

"There's no need for this anymore."

I drew my hand back and flung the old engagement ring into the sea, pretty far actually.

"Emma you do know that costed a lot of money."

"Well if it meant so much why didn't you stop me?"

"True, it's alright. You've got that new ring now and that's all that matters."

As we watched the tide go out I felt my eyes becoming heavy as it got later. I didn't tell Killian I was growing tired so instead I fell asleep on his shoulder. Like old times.
