Chapter 6

~1 Week later~

~Cassius

Ambrose and I have been bonding. I started to wonder if the plan is going to work. I know have my job as an exorcist and the priest of this church.

"Father Cassius," I heard someone called for me. I turn towards the person and saw it was Sister Mary.

"What is it?" I asked.

"It's about Ambrose," She said, trying to catch her breath.

"What about Ambrose?" I asked, getting worried.

"He got into a fight with some protesters," She explain.

"Where at?" I asked, starting to walk towards the exit of the church.

"Just outside," Sister Mary said. I made my way outside seeing the protesters and Ambrose.

"Ambrose," I called out to him. His head shot towards me, dropping one of the protesters.

"Father Cassius, I'm sorry," Ambrose said, hanging his head.

"Soo, you're Father Cassius," The protester said, walking up to me. I notice that this is not the actually protester.

"Yes, and whom am I speaking to?" I asked, trying to get his name.

"Dale," He said. I know it's not his real name.

"Alright Dale, how can I help you?" I asked, walking closer to Ambrose, making sure he's not hurt.

"I want nothing from you, Exorcist," Dale said. I knew it.

"Sister Mary get my things," I called up to her. She nodded and went off to get my things.

"What things?" Ambrose asked.

"Things to exorcise a spirit," I said, helping Ambrose to the steps of the church. Mary came back out with my things. I grabbed them and start the exorcism.

"Hahaha, You think that you can cast me out," It said.  I said nothing to it and continue on  casting out the evil being, "You think your little parlor tricks will send me away," it chuckled. I ignored it and finished off the chant. I saw the entity leaving the person body and disappear into smoke.  I sighed.

"Sister Marry, take the man to a room and lay him down," I said, looking at the other protester, "Did you know how he got posses?"

"Well, we did play with a spirit board the night before but that was it," She told me.

"Spirit board, huh. I tell people not to play with them but they still do," I mumbled, glance back at Ambrose, "How are you feeling?"

"I'm fine but what exactly did you do?" Ambrose asked, looking scared. I took a deep breath.

"I... well send it to hell or something... I'm...not really  sure," I said, thinking on it.

"Okay, we have to wait and see if it comes back," he said, standing in front of me.

"I guess so," I said, looking at the pavement.  I don't know if he was scared or just shocked.

"Cassius, are you okay?" Ambrose asked. I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"Yes, I'm fine. Just a little exhausted but I'm good," I said, looking up at him. I still saw fear in his eyes. I'm gonna ignore them until I'm sure.

"Alright," he said. I got to test to be sure if he scared of me or not.

"In the name of," I started to say when I saw Ambrose flinch. I knew it. He turn to face me, "Mason," I said chuckling.

"Cassius, don't do that," Ambrose mumbled. I walked up to him.

"I was just checking to see if I had scared. Which I did and I'm sorry," I apologized.

"Well, I guess this make us even," he said. I nodded and we both walked into the church to check on the male protester.

~Ambrose

I know that Cassius was an exorcist but that was really scary. I never knew he could be that scary. I think it hurt him seeing me that  scared. I-I never thought it would be this scary to ignore the fact that he could send me back if he wanted to.

"Ambrose? Are you okay?" I heard Cassius asked.

"Yeah, just was thinking," I said, not willing to face him.

"Thinking? About what?" Cassius asked.

"Some stuff," I said, not wanting him to know.

"Ambrose, What are you thinking?" He asked again.

"That you could send me back if you wanted to," I confess. I couldn't hide it from him.

"I can't. Not with the bonds on our arms," Cassius explain, "So, you got nothing to worry about and I wouldn't want to send you back anyways," he said, placing a hand on my shoulder.

"How can I believe that?" I said, thinking up all possibility for him to get rid of me.

"Like I said a week ago, I want to change things. My church is the only one who except same sex marriage because I want to give them the chance to be happy. I get a lot hate from the others but it's worth it in my book," Cassius smiled. I understand it now.  I get his reason behind things.

"Thank you Cassius," I said, pulling him into a hug.

"For what?" He asked, hugging me back.

"For everything," I whispered into his ear. I could feel Cassius's heart race.  I couldn't help but to smile at this.

"It's not a problem,"  Cassius whispered back to me.

"Awe,"  We looked up and saw the nuns standing there.

"So do they know?" I asked. Cassius nodded, "Well that's great,"

"It could be worse," Cassius sighed, pulling away from me.

"Your right about that," I said, looking into Cassius's green eyes. We headed into the room were the protester lays. I have a feeling that something is about to go down but what.
