Chapter 3
~Cassius
I decided to bring Ambrose back to the church with me. I walked over to the land line and started to call the other churches.
"Father Cassius, what can I help you with?" asked Father Ash.
"I just need you to come down to my church will explain later," I said, while looking for the other churches numbers.
"Alight, I'll be there," he said, hanging up the phone. I called up the other churches and told them the same thing. Now, I was waiting for them to show up.
"Um... Cassius, what's going on?" Ambrose asked. I looked at him and smiled.
"I need advice on what to do with you? I just can't let you wonder the streets and I can't send you back to hell," I said, starting to get impatient.
"But you have an idea, don't you?" he asked, looking worried.
"Yes, but this is a very delicate mattered. I have to have permission to do it," I said. There was a knock at the door, "Come in," I said, and notice that Ambrose took off. The other preachers came waltzing in .
"So, what so important that we have to met in person?" Father Ash asked, walking up to me slowly.
"Ambrose," was all I could say about the situation. They all looked at me, confused, "Ambrose you can come out now," I shouted.
"Cassius, he died three days ago. Let it go," Father Brass said, placing a hand on my shoulder. I shook my head. A few minutes had pass when Ambrose decide to show up. I can tell he was scared.
"He's a demon, Cassius. You have to send him back," Father Prot demanded.
"No, I have an idea but I need permission to do it," I said, not wanting to hear it.
"You're not think of what I think you're thinking?" Father Ash asked.
"I can't have him walking around and I can't send him back," I said, looking at Ambrose then back to them.
"Why not, he's just a demon," Father Prot asked.
"Because I can't and he still have his human emotions!" I yelled. Everyone looked at me.
"He still a demon!" Father Prot restated.
"Cassius, are you sure you want to go through with it?" Father Ash questioned.
"I'm sure," I sighed, felt someone poking me. I turn to Ambrose standing there.
"What's going on, Cassius?" Ambrose whispered.
"It's a bonding ritual," Father Ash clarified. I looked down at the ground.
"What? Cassius, what the hell are you thinking?" Ambrose yelled. I didn't answer, "Cassius, why?" he cried.
"Father Cassius, feeling guilty for not saving you. So, he think it's his calling to do this," Father Brass said.
~Ambrose
I was shock. I looked around the room and everyone was looking at Cassius. Cassius kept his head down.
"Ambrose, could help us," Cassius whispered.
"You really think so. Then do what you want then. Don't call me when you're posses," said an elder priest, storming out of the building.
"Cassius, remember what happened to the last one that used the ritual," said the ashy haired man.
"Yeah, I know but I really do think, Ambrose could help," Cassius said.
"I know just be careful because I don't want to have do an exorcism on you," the man said, walking away.
"Thanks Ash for your vote of confidence," Cassius said to him.
"Anytime," said Father Ash, walking out of the church.
"As for you, come with me," Cassius ordered.
"Alright," I said, looking at Cassius. We walked out of the room and down the hall. I was worried about what's going to happen.
"Don't worry, it's not going to hurt much," Cassius said, entering a room that was full of markings.
"Okay but can you explain what's going on?" I asked, looking around the room.
"The bonding ritual is a ritual that bonds a spiritual person to a demon," He shortly explain.
"Okay but I don't get why everyone was so worry about it?" I questioned, starring into Cassius's head.
"Something went wrong with it. The late priest of this church bonded with a demon that was more powerful then his spiritual aura," he explain in more detail. I could tell it was eating at him, "He got posses by the demon that he was supposed to be bonded to. I was the one who perform the exorcist. So, I know the risk to it," Cassius whispered.
"And you really think that you could do it," I asked, crossing my arms. I was angry with him.
"No, but I think it's worth the risk," He said, walking to one of the bookshelves, "Could you stand in the circle please," Cassius asked. I obey and walked into the middle of the circle. Cassius started to say something. I started to feel woozy. I looked down at the circle. It was glowing.
"CASSIUS!" I screamed, looking at him. He didn't answer me. The priest was to focus on his words. I feel to my knees and griping my chest, feeling it swelling up inside, "CASSIUS!" I screamed his name louder. He still didn't answer. After an hour or two, everything was quit. I looked up at Cassius.
"Are you alright?" Cassius asked, walking into the circle.
"Yeah, just really hot," I panted, whipping beads of sweat off my forehead.
"Okay, let's go get you cooled off," He said, helping me on my feet. I nodded. We walked out of the spiritual marking room. I still fell woozy.
"Cassius, I feel really dizzy," I said, hanging onto the wall.
"I understand, it will pass," Cassius said. I looked around but everything is a blur.
"Cassius," I whispered before falling to the floor.

I heard Ambrose calling out to me and then a sudden thud. I looked back to see him on the floor panting.
"Ambrose, can you hear me?" I asked, worried that something bad is happening. I kneeled down in front of him.
"Yeah, my legs just gave out," Ambrose said, trying to get back up.
"Okay," I said, pulling back onto his feet. Ambrose is now leaning against me, "Come on, let's get you cooled off then to bed.
"Yeah," he whispered. I was dragging Ambrose in to my room and sat him on my bed. I walked out to grab a few ice packs and walked back into my room. I saw him laying on my bed. I put the ice pack in under his arms. I walked away and headed to my couch, "What are you doing?" Ambrose asked.
"Going to bed. Why?" I asked, grabbing a blanket and a pillow.
"You are not sleeping on the couch," he said, trying to get out of the bed. I walked towards him.
"You need rest. I don't know what the ritual did to you but you need the bed more than I do," I said, pushing him down onto the bed.
"But Cassius," Ambrose growled.
"But nothing. Sleep," I said, brushing some loose hair out of his face. After a few minutes, I heard soft breathing coming from Ambrose, "The ritual must took a lot out of him," I whispered to myself, getting up from the bed and walked over to the couch. I sat down when someone opened the door.
"Father Cassius, we need you in the confession box," Sister Lin said, looking at me then to my bed.
"Alright but can you have someone sitting in here with him," I asked, getting up from the couch.
"I can sit in here, " Sister Lin said. I nodded and made my way to the confession box. I walked into my part of the box.
"Father please forgive me of my sins," said a young man, "I have done something terrible."
"What have you done?" I asked calmly.
"I played with an Ouija board and I summon a demon," He said.
"God, will forgive you," I said.
"The demon have been talking to me. He's been telling me to do things. Bad things, Father," the man whispered.
"God will protect you child, don't worry," I said to the man. The man continued his confession. I listen to his words but my mind is wondering to Ambrose. A few minutes passed, the man tells me thank you and left. I walked out and headed to my room. I walked in and saw the nuns whispering to each other. One of them saw me.
"Father Cassius, what's wrong with him? Is he even human?" Sister Tina asked, holding her cross.
"He's fine for now. For being human no," I answered. Sister Tina looked confused.
"Then what is he?" she asked, trying to figure it out. She is still new to this.
"He's a demon," I answered, "But he is bound to me, until I die."
"Father Cassius, Why?" She sniffled.
" I knew him when he was human," I sighed, hearing someone running in the halls. Sister Mary came rushing into my room.
"Father Cassius, I just heard you did a demonic bonding. Is it true?" Sister Mary asked. I nodded. She looked around and saw Ambrose sleeping soundly in my bed, "I'll just... leave you to it then..." Sister Mary said, leaving my room with the other nuns following close behind. I sighed walking over to Ambrose. I saw a mark on his wrist. I looked down at my wrist and saw that they were identical to each other.
"It worked," I whispered and went to bed.
