Chapter 1
~Ambrose
I woke up to the sounds of screaming. I looked around to figure out where I am.
"Well, hello Ambrose," said a dark creature.
"Um... Where am I and who are you?" I asked coldly.
"Well, you're in hell and for me. You'll figure it out," He said.
"How did I get here?" I asked confused.
"Well, if you must know. You killed your mother, your lover and the a person your lover cheated on you with," figure said.
"Well that must been a crime of passion," I said.
"It was and then you killed yourself," he said, pointing at my right temple.
"So, I shot myself in the head. Seems ironic," I said, rubbing my scar.
"Yes, kid and you will be a demon. It's seems you have unfinished business up there," the creature smirk.
"Okay, like what?" I asked.
"You will figure it out... Oh, watch out for exorcist that can do some heavy damage on us," the figure said, snapping his fingers and I was back on earth.
~Cassius
I woke up to the sounds of birds and cars. I got up and stretch my muscles before I started to work. I changed into my work clothes.
"Good morning, Father Cassius," said sister Mary.
"Good morning to you as well," I smiled and started my usual routine. After a few hours pass, I notice that something was not right. I looked outside and notice the darkness of the clouds.
"FATHER!"
"What's the mattered sister," I asked, walking over to the trembling nun.
"De-De-Demon," She stuttered. I looked at the door and there was one. Tall, tan , black and red eyes, male. I saw a tail whipping behind him. I got up and stood in front of the nun.
"You are not welcome here," I stated, "Leave this holy ground or die," I demanded.
"I rather not," the demon smirked, walking closer to me. The voice is familiar but I have ignore it, " You look so young for an exorcist,"
"Leave," I ordered.
"I can't, well not yet," the demon said, "I have to take her with me," it's said, pointing at the scared nun.
"You can't take her," I said, grabbing my holy water.
"And you think you can stop me, Exorcist," it teased.
"Of course," I said, starting the enchantments. The demon's eyes widen and the fell to unamused.
"Wow, I'm so scared," He said mockingly, walking slowly to me. He push me off to the side. I fell to the ground.
~Ambrose
I pushed the priest aside and headed to the nun. I heard him get up again. I glanced behind me and saw a beautiful green eyes. Memories came flooding back. I shook my head.
"What's some more?" I asked sarcastically.
"It's my job to protect human from demons like you," he growled, holding his left arm. I smirked.
"Oh really even if they lied about who they really are?" I asked. The exorcist looked at me and then to the nun.
"Tell me the truth, Sister Abby," he asked her.
"Father, it's not what it seems," She pleaded, wrapping her hands inside each other.
"What did you do?" he asked her.
"The key work is what she didn't do," I added which I got a glare from the priest. She got up and ran towards him.
"I'll kill you!" She screamed, pulling out scimitars.
"You might want to run, father," I suggested. He looked pissed but took off running. He stopped when he reached a wall.
"Abby, we can talk about this," He tried to reason with her, I started to laugh at how hopeless it is. I notice something was not right with her. I looked closer at the girl's neck and there was a mark. I looked back towards the preacher and saw him grabbing a knife but it was to late. The wound was deep.
~Ambrose
I got stabbed but the wound was not deep enough to kill me. I looked at the demon. He looks familiar.
"Who are you?" I asked, trying to stay awake.
"Ambrose," He reply, "You are?"
"Cassius McLane," I replied, "Now that's out of the way. Can you call from an ambulance?" I asked him.
"Can I borrow your phone?" Ambrose asked.
"Yeah, left jean pocket," I said, keeping pressure on the wound with both hands. He grabbed my phone and dial the numbers. Ambrose was talking but I can't hear anything. I tried to focus on something but just couldn't.
"Father Cassius, stay with me," a voice demanded.
"I'm trying," I mumbled weakly, realizing that Ambrose was still here.
"They should be here soon," Ambrose said worriedly.
"What's the mattered, demon. Worried about a human?" I asked, chuckling a little.
"Yeah, I am. I only died few days ago," he said, kneeling beside me.
"Really?" I asked, seriously confused.
"Yeah," Ambrose said, sadness laced his voice.
"Not meaning to sound insensitive but how?" I asked, still fighting to keep my eyes open.
"It's fine. I shot myself in the head after killing, three people that was close to me," he sighed, staring at my wound.
~Cassius
I felt odd talking to Cassius. Probably because he was an exorcist and I'm a demon. I looked around to see EMTs, running towards us.
"Sir, we need you to back away from him," said one of the EMTs. I nodded and did what I was told.
"Ambrose, is coming with me," I looked at Cassius and nodded following the paramedics to the ambulance. We arrived at the hospital and the nurse telling me to wait in the waiting room. So, I did.
