Exodus-Journal 4:Entry 1:The New Tribe

6,230 A.S. Mid Autumn to Early Winter
Oak and I arrived in the Eastern Reaches a week later after we left Silthrim.
It took us a few days to find the settlements of BeetleWings and LeaftWings. The BeetleWings chose to live in the hills of the south. The LeafWings settled down in the large forest in the northeast part of the land.
   We visited the BeetleWings first.
The tribe seemed to be doing okay despite the few minor fights with the wild like humans living out here.
I didn't even know how humans managed to find Alagaesia. Humans were only now in Alagaesia because of the Great Exodus thirty years ago. They must have escaped barely and made it to this part of Alagaesia and became wild like animals due to the competition with the dragons, other animals, and the land itself.
Some of the BeetleWings, I noticed, looked strange. Some had black scales(some with just speckles of black scales), wings with star patterns, and horns and spines that looked strangely like a NightWing's. I had no idea where these dragons came from, but the BeetleWings knew. They said that Clearsight, a NightWing, mated with one of them named Sunstreak and had four dragonets, who then mated with other BeetleWings and created the strange ones Oak and I saw today.
It was incredible. These new dragons now had slight NightWing and mainly BeetleWing abilities, such as some being able to have a slight mind reading or vision abilities. Others being Flamesilks or having venom in their teeth and claws.
They seemed to be more BeetleWing than NightWing, which made since due to none of them being a direct descendant of Clearsight. They were just distant descents of her.
Now there were fifteen tribes with these new dragons that didn't exactly have a tribe yet but were close.
We headed to the LeafWings next.
The LeafWings seemed to be doing okay. They were quite content with their new forest home, but hated the humans running around in and out of it, and killed any of them that entered their forest. They were very territorial about their home.
The LeafWings and BeetleWings seemed to be getting along well with each other and even looked like they enjoyed each other's company.
They weren't going to be a problem to Alagaesia, unlike the rest of the tribes.
As we spent time around the two tribes there were lots of rumors about little bearded men living in the large mountain near the Edda River not too far from the BeetleWings' home. The dragons called it "Death Mountain" and "The Forbidden Zone". They seemed to be very wary about it and didn't talk much about it, especially when Oak or I brought it up. Then they wouldn't even say a single word about the mountain.
Oak and I decided to investigate after we tried to make a peace treaty between the wild humans and dragons.
We met with the humans one day during our long year in the Eastern Reaches. It was a day I never wanted to go through again. It was filled with lots of screaming and roaring. In the end the treaty failed in all except that the two races leave each other alone from now on.
With that disaster behind us, Oak and I set our sights on the large mountain where the little men, maybe dwarves, lived.

P.S. This was a really short one. I just didn't know exactly what to write about. But I hope you enjoyed it anyways.
