Y/N's POV

"What dress?" I asked, holding the red and black ones up next to each other.

"No dress, it's a laid back party, just what you wear normally is perfect," he grinned, holding his arms out for me to jump into.

"Kyu Kyu," I whined, wanting him to be more decisive as he chuckled lightly.

"I'll pick a light colored top for you to wear and pair it with something, promise. Now, come on," he tugged my wrist forward for me to fall into his hold.

His hand curled around my arm, his fingers running over my skin as I smiled.

"You make me so happy," I looked up at him, his eyes staring back down at me.

"And you're the laughter of my life," he leaned down, our lips connecting lightly for a moment.

The kiss was sweet.

But, oh how bitter things would become.

I miss the taste of a sweeter life.

Kyungsoo's POV

"Done yet?" I called out as Y/N opened the door, grinning brightly at me.

"You picked perfectly," she threw her arms around me as I held her tight.

Spinning her around in the air, I kissed her cheek firmly, setting her back down for her to grab her shoes as we'd leave for the party.

This is what you can choose to wear!

"You're driving," she laughed as she tossed me her keys and I grinned.

Closing the door behind us, we got into the car as we started to drive to the house.

Opening the door, I kept her close to me as we greeted a few of our friends. The music was loud throughout the house as drinks were passed around.

Hard to resist temptation.

"Kyungsoo! Man, you've got to come check out the new pool table I got!" I was pulled by a few guys to go play with them as I eyed Y/N.

I miss the conversation.

With a laugh, she waved at me to go on as she would meet up with a few people as well. Kissing her cheek, I grinned as I stepped into the new game room.

"This is so cool!" I admired the fresh paint done as the guys cheered, another drink being handed to me.

Glass after glass, my head was turning to a fuzz as the game went on for hours.

Dropping out, I went to look for Y/N, wanting her back by my side.

I like to think that we had it all.

"Hey, man! At least do a round of shots!!" I was tugged back as I shook my head.

"Nah, I've got to find my girl," I gave a goofy grin as they all teased me.

We drew a map to a better place.

After twenty minutes of trying to find her, I went back to the game room to watch the guys argue over fair play.

But I wonder where were you?

Taking a spot by the table, I laughed over how half of the room cheered, the other grumpy as they had lost.

Feeling a hand over my arm, I turned to see another girl smiling at me, pointing at the pool table as she watched the others play.

But on that road I took a fall.

"Yeah, it's pretty fun," I nodded as she stared at me.

"Wanna play a game with me?" She smiled, moving closer to me and I shook my head.

"I don't play that much," I shrugged, moving to step back from her.

In a flash, I was pushed forward, another guy stumbling into me as I bumped into the girl.

Frantically apologizing, my hands went over her arms to keep her steady from falling.

"My bad about that, I didn't mean to bump into you," I apologized as she only shook her head at me.

"I don't mind, we're all friends here anyways," she spoke, her eyes not leaving me as her hand went to hold onto mine.

"What are yo-"

"My heels are killing me, I just need to take a breath for a moment," she explained, flashing a sweet smile as she leaned against me.

"Sure, do you want to stand against the wall at the end?" I pointed towards the edge of the room as she nodded, dragging me along with her.

As she leaned against the door, I took a sip of whatever had been handed to me in the red cup.

How many drinks was it?

'Cause something strange has come over me.

I couldn't tell, my mind jumbled as the girl spoke.

"That's cool," I internally rolled my eyes at whatever she was saying.

I scanned the room for Y/N yet couldn't find her as I sighed.

I can't wait to cuddle her tonight since we've been so busy lately.

"Hey, I think you're really nice," the girl spoke again and I nodded blankly.

"Thanks."

Her hands moved abruptly over my shoulders and I snapped my eyes over to her.

"My heel just stumbled over the carpeting," she flashed another grin.

"Sure," I muttered, my hands going over her arms to keep her from falling.

I mean, girl could fall and crack her head open then I'd be labeled as a murderer.

Not how I'd want to spend the nigh-

I was jerked down suddenly as she stared at me, our noses nearly touching and I blinked.

I raised a brow, yet the girl simply gave a sickening smile, her lips moving forward to push onto mine. Yet before she could go any further than just the brush of her lips over mine, I had pushed her away.

Watching her stumble down, I turned away to search for Y/N, my eyes wide as I saw her stand before me.

The bottle of water dropped out of her hand before I could reach her as she turned away. She ran out of the room as I went to chase after her.

I was pulled back, the guys' arms coming around me as they prevented me from going after her. And I could only watch her leave me as I shouted for her.

Y/N's POV

I was there for you.

The tears stung my eyes as I hadn't felt them in a long time. He never let me cry anyways, never gave me a chance to be sad as he kept me like his entire world. I was always smiling with him, no need for ever having to cry as I never had a reason to.

And you said you had my back.

My eyes burned as tears flooded my eyes, starting to fall down my cheeks as I pushed the door of the house open, leaving.

I knew I wouldn't go back to our home, probably staying in a hotel until I could have my thoughts straight to go back and get my things for a final time.

When I was at my worst.

As I walked through the sidewalk, my hands rubbed at my eyes as the tears kept flowing down and I wanted to scream.

So I wonder where were you?

"What a pretty thing," a voice slurred as I ignored the guy, moving out of his way.

He tugged on my wrist, his arm going tight over my waist as I screamed, shoving him off of me.

"Get off!" I screamed and he gave his own push towards me and I stumbled back.

When all the roads you took came back to me.

My foot fell off he pavement of the sidewalk, going onto the street as I heard the people shout as they reached out towards me.

And just as I fell back onto the road, a force hit my side and I felt a surge of pain run through me, everything stopping as I landed back onto the floor, gravity yanking me down harshly.

My arm fell limp against my head as my eyes were wide, my blood splattered over the area.

Yet I was unable to register anything else other than the vicious pain, everything stopping after the moment of cruel force against my side.

Kyungsoo's POV

I was there for you.

I yelled, my hands tugging my hair as I pushed past the people in the hospital.

"Where is she?!" I screamed at the nurse, her widened eyes looking up at me.

A few people came to hold me back, shouting at me to calm down as I shoved them away.

"Where's the damn emergency room!?"

I got no answer other than them trying to get me to calm down as I gave up bothering with them as I went off to find the room for myself. They tried to come after me while I ran through the hall, reading the signs above the doors as I came across the corner.

Following, following, following to you.

The blinking light was on for the emergency room as the doors were wide open as well and I rushed inside.

My lips parted as I froze in my place, my heart feeling like it would stop at any moment.

Compressions were hurriedly done over her chest as her entire body rose off of the bed, only to fall back roughly.

Ain't nothing I can do.

The entire room was filled with several beeps, wires connected to her as dried blood had stuck over to her skin.

Nurses came to ask me to leave as I shook my head, needing to be there, yet they tried pushing me lightly to let me out of the room gently.

They kept saying I wasn't allowed in, yet my eyes wouldn't leave the bright light that shone over Y/N, her eyes shut as I assumed the doctors had shut them before.

I couldn't come to bring myself to speak anything, my throat dry as a single signal gave it all away.

And now I can't get over you.

Flatline.
