[Suho] The President

"Oh no..."

You could only whisper as you looked up at the piece of paper at the announcement board. It was stating that the student council was to have a meeting at 5 p.m sharp on the 31st, which was today. On normal circumstances, it would've made you bubble up in joy, but this was not a normal circumstance. The piece of paper had a big red "CANCELLED" scribbled all over it. Meaning, the President of the student council would have time to mess with you again.

Kim Suho.

Even though he transferred here only in his 4th year of High School, he was able to become the school's newest Student Council President. The only ones allowed to be president were those that have been studying here for at least two years, so his case was definitely suspicious. Heck, you never even saw him walk around shaking hands with people. But what could we expect? He's the nephew of the Director, so he practically owns this school. No one can argue with that.

Kim Suho is not your typical President who follows all the rules and tries hard to become the model student of all. He's the type that makes most of the rules, and says that he's the only one allowed to break them. He's the type that doesn't attend classes regularly because he could ace the tests with no sweat. He's the type that makes girls his little barbie dolls; he dresses them up, showers them with expensive shit while they kiss his toes like he's the god of this world. Then after he gets bored, he tosses them away then moves onto the next.

And in these past few weeks, Kim Suho seems to have been preying on you.

It started with boxes of cookies on your desk every morning. You didn't know from whom it came from, but you actually thought it was rather sweet. Then it went to the next level with roses and notes with only a letter "S" on them. You still had no clue who gave those, but you still thought someone might actually have a crush on you. Then it moved onto the big things. Dresses, shoes, albums from your favorite band; it was all too obvious at this point, that there was only one person that has the money to give all these expensive things.

And so you started ignoring the gifts. Not that you hated Kim Suho. You just didn't care much since his twisted way of presidency hasn't severely affected you. But now that he wants to make you one of his barbie dolls? You now have every right to hate his guts. Hell no. You are not born into existence just to be some dolled up kiss ass bitch of an arrogant overly handsome young man.

You started brisk walking towards the cafeteria, so you can exit through the delivery section on the back of the school. Surely, Kim Suho's guards are all around the school gate at this time, so it wouldn't be wise to pass through the typical exit. If you want to be able to go straight home and not be forced into a date with him again, you would have to be smart. Because no matter how many times you reject and how violently you would do it, he would just never take "no" as an answer.  Stubborn asshole.

"Meeting up with the President again?" A girl stated mockingly as you passed by them. Her companions proceeded to sneer and mumble words like "whore" and "slut". You just pretended not to hear anything and continued walking.

Psh, if only they know.

"Whoops, coming through," you called out as you weaved past cafeteria staff in the kitchen area. They didn't look that surprised to see you anymore as you've done this for like 50 times already. Thankfully, they don't bother ask why anymore and you don't mess up things in there anyway.

As you reached the familiar narrow hallway with the grey upward sliding door thingy, you slowed down your pace.

Please God.

Please don't let the MIB be there.

Oh, MIB is your nickname for Suho's guards by the way. They look like typical bodyguards in movies dressed in black with ear piece and all. So cliché.

Slowly, you placed your hands on the bottom of the door thingy, and took a deep breath. As soon as this thing comes up, all you would need to do is run.

Run like your life depends on it. Like semi-literally.

"One... Two.... Three." With one heave, you lifted the door open, but there stood a big MIB right at the doorway, totally blocking your path.

"Miss ____. The President wants to see you." He spoke in a formal manner.

"Of course he does," you muttered under your breath, letting the MIB lead you to the painfully familiar black van. There's no point in trying to escape. MIBs are stronger, and a lot taller; you can never outrun these guys. Heck, even an ostritch could never outrun these guys.

As soon as you entered the van, you immediately came face to face with the man whose guts you hate the most: none other than Kim Suho. He had that usual confident vibe around him, and of course, that smug smile and amused eyes. He has removed the uniform vest and now had only the necktie loose around his partly unbuttoned white shirt. The typical bad boy outfit.

But surely hot as heck.

Oh shut up brain.

"_____," he greeted and slightly nodded.

"Mr. President." You practically spat out the word. He didn't look so affected, though. In fact, his eyes sparkled even more as if amused by your irritation.

"Oh come on. Just call me Suho." He said in a friendly tone, but you were not feeling very friendly.

"Like your barbie doll bitches? Hah, no thanks."

"They actually call me oppa."

You almost gagged at that one. He continued.

"So calling me by my name couldn't be that hard, right?"

You shifted your gaze to the tinted windows, not wanting to look at the annoying figure right in front of you. Apparently, the seats in his car has been arranged to be facing each other, probably for purposes like this. Forcing people to have a conversation with people they don't like.

"It's not hard, but I prefer not to." you shrugged. You could see him shift to the edge of his seat, closer to you.

"Can you do it just once?"

"No."

"Please?" He probably thinks sweet talking would work on you.

"No."

"You never say yes to anything I ask you to." His tone became disappointed, but you had to look at him to check. You did the right thing, because he still looked smug rather than disappointed. God he is such a bad actor.

"I can't see any reason why I should."

"It's my birthday."

You paused for a few moments as you let the info sink in. "Soo....?"

"So I want you to call me Suho." He stated as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. You stared at him for seconds again, trying to make sense of how unbelievable this man could be. Like seriously? WTF?

"You know what, I don't care if it's your birthday. I don't care if you're the president or if you're the freaking nephew of the director. I don't want to be one of your freaking barbie dolls and I don't want to have anything to do with you!! Why can't you just leave me alone?!! Go fetch another girl who actually would die to be with you or accept your expensive shit or whatever! Just go leave me alone!!!!"

You turned and tried to open the door, but it wouldn't budge. It was locked.

"OPEN THE FREAKING DOOR! LET ME LEAVE!!!"

You screamed, still yanking at the door handle like it was a freakin shake shake fries. You turned to look at Suho, and he was looking down at the floor.

"Do as she says," he spoke in a rather soft tone. Like he finally gave up. "Open the door."

You felt the car stop. As soon as the locks clicked, you flung the door open and ran away from the van. You headed straight towards what you first saw: a park. Surprisingly, the place was empty even though it was just barely five. But you didn't have the time to think much about it because currently, your biggest concern is getting away from that Kim Suho. He would surely send his MIBs after you, so you have to hide somwhere.

But as soon as you reached the center of the place, you stopped dead on your tracks. There, on the middle of a round bush of white roses, was a red lamp post. And there on the lamp post, hung an LED sign.

"SAY YES"

That was all it said.

Your mouth hung agape. This.... It couldn't possibly be from... from him... right?

"It hurts to know you want to run away from me like that."

You whipped around at the sound of his voice, and it was quite surprising how he didn't look that smug anymore. He was still smiling, yes, but now it looked force. Like he was trying to hide some pain, but was miserably failing.

You just watched him walk nearer and stop a few meters beside you, all the while looking up at the sign.

"It's quite different from how I wanted it to be." He forced a laugh. For some reason, it actually pinched your heart a little. Darn, why is he good at acting all of a sudden?

"Why are you doing this?" You whispered. Maybe this is a good chance to properly talk this out, now that he's not being his annoying smug self.

"I like you," he whispered back, catching you off guard. You still weren't sure if he actually means that, but it still sends your stomach flipping like a pancake. Plus the way he's looking at you right now makes you feel like your knees want to turn to a pool of jelly.

"No. No you don't. I'm just like those girls you've had. You'll get bored of me and would eventually dispose of me. I'll only get hurt so I want all of this to stop now." You slowly backed away as tears started to sting your eyes. You hated the fact that he's playing with your feelings.

"No, ______. You're nothing like them." He said sternly, though his voice slightly broke at one part. "I don't know how to say it to you. In a way that you would believe me. I've tried every way I know just so I can make you believe. The gifts. The dates. But nothing worked. I thought eventually, I could make you mine, we just have to give it a little time, but now... I don't know what to do anymore."

His voice broke into a whisper, and by then your heart felt like it was slowly being ripped open. He definitely looked broken. There was no sign of the Suho you have grown used to. Could it be... he's actually telling the truth?

He couldn't be that twisted to make a lie like this, right?

"S-Suho..." You awkwardly started. His name feels so weird on your tongue. His head shot up, and for a moment it seemed that there was hope in his eyes. "I... I'm not sure if it really is your birthday... but... if ever... uhh... happy birthday."

You bit your lip. Well, you had no idea how to make him feel better. You had no tissue to offer too. It was the safest thing to say.

"Thanks." He smiled, but there was still something lacking. The smugness. The confidence. Kim Suho was not being Kim Suho at all. It was rather unnerving.

You slowly took a step back, before eventually turning to leave.

"I won't bother you again." His voice rang out. You don't exactly understand why, but it sent a stab m right through your chest. It was like he's saying he won't be a part of your life anymore. "At least now that you've called me by my name. That's a nice birthday gift."

It was like your brain suddenly flew out of your head, and it was your heart taking over. It made you want to stop and turn around to look at him. And so you did. You stopped walking, and slowly turned on your heels.

"Oh shit," you muttered as your feet led you back to your spot in front of him. Suho stared at you with furrowed brows, most probably not expecting your return.

"This," you jabbed a finger right on the sign, causing it to clatter and swing. "What exactly is this sign for?"

"Well... I..." he still was unable to comprehend the situation. "I was... I was going to ask you to uhh..."

His face became shrouded with confusion and uncertainty, as for the first time in the long time you've known him, his tongue became tied to knots. You stomped your feet, impatiently waiting.

You have one last chance, Kim Suho. Do not blow this up. Or I will kick you in the nuts and leave.

But he didn't say anything, and your mental clockwatch reached zero.

"Forget it," you grumbled and turned around. But before you could take a step away, a hand wrapped around your wrist, and you were pulled right against him. And his lips was right against yours.

It wasn't violent, and wasn't hasty. It was nothing like what you have expected from him. Much to your surprise, he was firm but gentle, as if he has been wanting to this for a long time, but was very careful not to make a mistake. It felt genuine; like it proved that everything he has told you was true. It sent your heart into an irregular series of beats and knocked the living breath out of you. Good thing you bailed on the idea of kicking him in the nuts.

As soon as he pulled back, the surroundings seemed to look a lot colorful, and prettier, and romantic. But the strangest thing was that, you actually felt happy to be in Kim Suho's arms. You were sure it wasn't just because of the kiss. Sure, you've seen his soft side, but you haven't forgotten about his annoying smugness. He's still him, but the only difference is that now, you finally admit that you like him back.

The sparkle in his eyes has returned, and now that you can see it up close, you could say it was rather pretty. He finally looked quite happy. "So, yes or no?"

You pretended to think about it, because that moment when he lost his smugness, to be replaced by a nervous look was actually quite cute. Noticing that you were just messing with him, he rolled his eyes, making you laugh as you answered.

"Yes."
