It was a sunny day, it was a day that was just perfect to go to the beach. Why do I say that? Well, it's because my school let us have a field trip to the beach, that's why.

Over hundreds of students from our high school were taken to the beach as a celebratory event, and I was one of them.

We were already at the beach since morning, and now, I was trying to find a changing room so that I can finally hit the water and have fun.

The changing rooms were like little huts, and most of them were already occupied by the juniors and seniors.

I walk up and down the beach in search of a changing room, and all were occupied. I couldn't find my friends, and I can't change. Just great. I should've changed at home when I had the chance. Even some juniors and seniors did that and are already on the sand or in the water.

It's been thirty minutes, and I was getting frustrated. I checked my bag and for some reason, my bathing suit was gone.

"Gone?! What?! What happened?!" I asked myself, rummaging through my turquoise and blue tote bag. I walked down the beach again, and something ran out of a changing room with a blur. I suddenly saw a teal sparkle revealing the words "Change yourself into...."

"What?" I mutter and open the door. I saw an image of a woman, and for some reason, I wasn't scared that some strange ghostlike woman was in there. But the thing is that the woman was extremely beautiful. Like mermaid beautiful.

"Please. Come in." She said with her voice like rich water. Like I was in a trance, I obeyed her.

The door of the hut closes, and the woman smiles. "No swimsuit?" She asks me as I nod.

"I can help you with that." She says as an image of a pretty blue and turquoise and white bathing suit magically appeared on a hanger that was hanging on a hook.

"Take it. Wear it and change into.... Go to the well.... He'll see you and find you...." The woman said.

I furrowed my eyebrows. What was the beautiful woman saying? I blink as she disappears, and I stare back at the mermaid like bathing suit.

It was a bikini. The top had a twist in the middle, and the bottom was like an underwear and a skirt that flowed to the right side in ripples. The fabric was shiny and the colors were vibrant, and when I touched it, it seemed to shine even more.

But.... I'm insecure about my body. I have stretch marks, back pimples and imperfections... I'm not sure if I want to be too revealing either.

Then, I heard her smooth voice again. "Wear it and change." She said.

I don't have my bathing suit, the woman says so, and it's actually really cute but revealing, and ____, who cares about what others think? It's your turn to shine! I thought.

I stared at the bathing suit with determination, and decided to wear it. Immediately, I felt magical.

I looked around my body and gasped. I looked like a model. A freaking perfect model with a perfect body and hair and everything. Even my nails look perfectly shaped, with no chips or different sizes. Did the swimming suit do this or was it the woman? Is it enchanted? Will my body return to normal if I take it off?

I tried to stretch and take off my bottom and top, and it turns out that it's stuck to my body. "Ok...." I say, a bit freaked out. But if I can't take it off, then... That means I'm like this forever? But you look good girl, you really do. Even though I was content with my old body, just a bit insecure here and there for a bit, my new body made me look like some kind of perfect girl you would see, like a model.

Ok, this is cool, awesome, weird, and a tiny tiny bit terrifying. Didn't she say wear it and change? And something about a well and a guy? I'm pretty sure she said he.

I heard a bang on the door, and I said, "Coming! Wait please!" As I hurriedly threw my clothes into my tote bag and unlocked the door. Standing outside was one of the cute seniors I had a crush on, Jin. When he saw me, his eyes widened.

"_______?" He asked as I nodded.

"Wow." He breathed. "You look beautiful." He said as I subconsciously smiled and blushed.

"Thanks." I answered and climbed down the stairs. I turned around and saw him continuing to stare at me. I look back at the door, and the magic sparkle has disappeared.

How weird. I thought.

I look around, and it seems like everyone's staring at me. Is this also another effect of the bathing suit? Or is it just that the guys are just looking at my body and thinking about pervy stuff-

"Hey _____!" Ken, a senior said, catching my attention. "You look nice."

I bowed with a small smile and tucked my hair away from my face, and he turned a bit red.

"Hi ______!" Gongchan, a cute junior waved.

"Hi." I said. I furrowed my eyebrows. M-My voice changed too! I thought. W-What powers did this bathing suit give me???!

I heard a whistle from my left, and saw two seniors walking by. "____. You're looking fine." Luhan commented as I blushed even harder.

"Nice~" Kris winked as I touched my burning face with both hands.

I started walking around to find a place to set my things down, and from what I can see, there's no place available, due to the hundreds of people or their belongings lounging on towels.

I couldn't find my friends, and there were people everywhere.

"Hey _____! Looking for a spot?" I turned around to see who was calling me, and I bumped into a guy.

"Oh! Chaesong-mida! Chaesong-mida! Mian-ne!" I said, bowing twice to the person.

He chuckles and I look up to see Namjoon, one of the mean and popular juniors at school.

"There's no harm, it's ok. Say, when did a pretty lady like you get into my life?" He asked.

"I-I.... I'm sorry." I say again and scatter off. I definitely wasn't used to this, and this was really nervewrecking.

I found an empty spot, but it was next to Hyuna. You know her- she's the ideal girlfriend to all the guys at school. She has the sexy body, the sexy makeup, and a cool and cute personality. Even her clothes yell out the words "Swag" and "Cool" and "Sexy".

"Hi _____." Hyuna unnie said as I slightly bowed to her. She tilts her sunglasses down, revealing her perfect dark made up eyes. "Nice swimsuit. Where'd you buy it?"

"Oh... uh... my mother's... close friend is a designer, and she made this one for me.... It's one of a kind, but she's not selling it. Sorry." I lied.

"Aww. I want one. Yours definitely screams 'Mermaid.' It's really nice."

"Thank you." I smile and unconsiously tuck my hair away from my face. Hyuna unnie goes back to lying on her towel with a giant umbrella covering her, and the guys that were walking past stopped to stare.

But I didn't realize that they were looking at me too.

I caught a few guy's eyes, and they winked or smiled towards my (?) direction.

I decided to ignore them and I looked out into the sea. I wanted to swim- I realized that I haven't yet, but a part of me is begging me not to go.

Why can't I bring myself to swim in the ocean? I feel like I need to be a part of the ocean, but something tells me that I really shouldn't in front of everyone. I thought.

I feel the salty breeze flying through the air, and I took a deep breath. The crashing of the sea sounded like a familiar and pleasant ringing to my ears, and the much wanted touch of water was making me want to jump into the ocean for a swim.

I took out my phone and tried to find WiFi, but failed. Suddenly, as I was scrolling down my music playlist, a popup appeared and I nearly pressed the X when I read the words: How To Become A Mermaid.

Wait, what? H-How to become a mermaid?!!! I thought, interested. I pressed the popup, and it led me to a page on the Internet. But I don't have any WiFi, what's happening?

I proceed to read the article that weirdly didn't say the author or date, or anything. It was like I was reading a manual on how to become this beautiful half sea creature and human.

1 - An important step to become a mermaid: a mermaid or merman has to fall in love with the person [human] first in order for the ritual to work. The merman or mermaid has to be acquainted with the person as well.

2 - The mermaid or merman then tells the Sea Queen to give a magical and sacred mer-clothing when the person they love is close to the sea.

Ok, this sounds familiar. So that beautiful mermaid like woman was the Sea Queen? And the swimming suit is the sacred and magical mer-clothing? Wow, talk about awesome and weird....

3 - During that specific day the person wears the mer-clothing, the person and mermaid/man must go to the well and go underwater together and share a kiss of breath. Be careful, this is the hard part. This ritual of change must take place when there is no human around, and it has to be performed before sunset. Otherwise, the human will not turn into a mer-person.

4 - The human will then turn into a mer-person, and the original mermaid/man will have to confess why they chose that specific person and tell him or her how he or she feels about them. The two will be connected together, and the now mer-person will need to have the Sea God and King's seal of approval to able to permanently stay a mermaid/man and half human if they wish.

5 - The ritual's done, have fun, love each other, and visit the surface for a while. The now mer-person's life will change, and with mer-magic, his or her existence will be erased from the people he or she knew, and their disappearance will be unknown. These are the consequences, but there are perks to being a mermaid.

I looked at my swimsuit and sighed. So.... I'm... Liked by a merman? Wow. But... Do I even know him? Who could possibly be a merman???

I looked around and saw guys, guys, and more guys. Where did the girls go? Oh wait there's Hyuna and Hyolyn and the rest of the popular girls lounging at the snack shack, nevermind.

I see some other girls in the water, playing and splashing water on some guys or their friends. I watched them all in envy, because soon, I won't be able to do that anymore.

Will I have to be bound by the sea in the future? Will I be able to remember and visit my family? Why are the consequences so large at stake? I mean how many people have been chosen to do this, and leave their family with no warning? And what if the person doesn't like the mermaid or man? I thought, extremely confused. Maybe I should read more.

I continued to read at least half a dozen more mysterious yet informative blog posts by the former human now mermaid Aqua.marine, who now frequently visits "the surface" with her husband. And she still looks the same after a millenia. Bombshell gorgeous.

I scrunched my eyebrows for the nth time, and thought, Who could possibly be a merman and like me? I was never noticed by other guys during my one and a half years of highschool.

I look around the live and bustling beach in the spot light shined by the hot sun, and I was glad that I was under a giant umbrella.

I remembered to put sunscreen on, and I couldn't reach my back. A familiar voice called out my name, and I smiled.

"Hey ____. Need some help with that?" Kai, my very close friend asked me and smiled.

"Please. Thanks Kai." I smile and hand him the sunscreen. "I just don't want to tan or get sun burnt."

"Hey!" Kai said as I felt the warm melted sunscreen touch my back. "Are you saying that I'm black?"

We laugh at his words, and I felt electricity through our touch. Kai's hands sent shock waves through my body, and I prayed that he wouldn't notice my stiffness.

"I like your swim suit." He asks as I turn to look at him. Our eyes lock for a second until I turned around and broke our gaze. "Where'd you buy it?"

"Oh my mom's friend designed it for me." I lied again.

"Oh ok. But now that I look at you, you look a bit different. It's a good change."

"Thanks." I say.

"All done." I turn to see Kai giving me a sweet smile.

"Thanks again. Want me to do your back?" I asked as he nodded.

Kai walks and plops down in front of me, with his sexy back facing my way.

"Since you're calling me black, I'll do it." Kai says as I laugh again.

"I'm sorry, it's a joke. Your tan is actually pretty nice. The next time I see you, I probably won't recognize you from your skin tone!" I say, rubbing sunscreen on his back.

"Yah!" Kai says loudly and playfully as he turned his head my way. I finish seconds later, and I put the bottle back in my tote bag.

I notice a pair of feet in front of me, and I held my hand in front of my face to block out the sun and try to see who was standing there.

My eyebrows went up when I saw Jeon Jungkook. He was also rolling with the popular crowd, but he was a sophmore that acted cool. I know him because... well... he's one of the names I hear everyday at school.

"Jungkook?" I ask, standing up. "What are you doing here?"

"Hi _____ noona. Ummm... Did... you like it?" Jungkook asks shyly.

"Like what?" I ask, confused. I heard Kai getting up.

"When I gave you a present." He stated.

"Present? What present- mmmrph." I spoke, seeing Jungkook's puckered lips in font of Kai's hands where my lips should've been.

During the five silent seconds, my brain tried to process what was happening.

So Jeon Jungkook, the popular sophmore used a pick up line on me, and tried to kiss me? And before his lips attacked my virgin ones, Kai used his hands to save them????

"Don't you dare try to kiss her." I panickly look at Kai, who warned Jungkook as his eyes turned dark. "Or I'll kill you."

"It's a shame that I couldn't have one noona. Since he inturrupted. Anyways, see you later. We'll probably have one by then." Jungkook winks, and walks away. I swear, after that wink, I heard an animal noise in his throat, kind of like a growl.

Kai, still covering my virgin lips, finally lets go after I push his arm away as he death glares at Jungkook.

"T-Thank you. I honestly-" I started, only to be inturrupted by yours truely.

"Stay away from him. Don't go near him. Actually, stay next to me ____. That way, I can protect you while you're surrounded by beasts." Kai says as his dark eyes pierce into mine as he holds my shoulders.

"Because beasts like hormonal guys like them will prey on you like *snap* like that." Kai said as he snapped his fingers.

"Then how are you any different Kai? You're a guy too." I pointed out, quickly crawling into the umbrella as far as I could.

Kai chuckles. "I'm not like that _____. You should know that. I'll protect you from any guy and stay by your side. All you need to do is to trust me." Kai gives me a heartwarming smile even in this weather.

It was already late in the afternoon, and the sun was almost in sunset mode. And still, no person has tried to take me to the 'well' yet.

And why am I waiting for this person? Like I'll believe all this.

I was walking around, and Kai went to do something after lunch, so I haven't seen him since then.

I went towards the shops and plaza on the east side of the beach, and walked towards a secluded place. There was a gazebo, and a giant round water fountain surrouned by concrete chairs that circled all around.

The breeze was cool, and the sun rays warmed me up. I still haven't went into the water yet, despite my longing to.

I sighed. I looked at my feet, and when I looked up, I heard a water drop sound.

My feet immedietly took me around the fountian, which was covered with bamboo and trees and leaves so that I couldn't see it from my former place.

I saw a piece of dark blue before it faded away.

Wow. I thought, seeing a fountian. No wait... it's a well.

Wait. A well. The Sea Queen and the blog said something about a well.

And how a merman and I have to go into the well and share and kiss of breath before sunset when there's no one around?

There is no one around this area. Check. There's a well here. Check. There's a merman going to kiss me in the well and I'll turn into a mermaid. Nope.

I observed the beautiful well and it's surroundings, and saw that there was a giant hanging chair from above. Creepy, but really cool. Now... how to get on there because I really want to try to sit on it.

"Need a hand?" Kai's voice rang as I smiled.

"You know, you always know when I need help." I smile at him.

"I'm just good at this, that's why." Kai answers.

With a little help, Kai and I successfully managed to sit on the hanging chair together as we watched the sunset.

I noticed that his hair was wet, and asked him if he went swimming.

"Yeah I did." He responded as I nod. I see something sparky under Kai's towel and widened my eyes.

Are... are those scales?!!! I thought, surprised. I blinked a few times, and it turns out that my eyes were probably deceiving me.

A silence pushes through, and I muster the courage to spill about all this mermaid stuff to Kai before anything else happens.

"Hey Kai, I have to tell you something." I said as he looked at me.

"What is it?" He asked.

"Well, I- I-...." I stammered. I couldn't really get the words out, can I? "N-nevermind."

"No, is something bothering you?" He asks with concern.

"It's nothing dangerous, but I guess it's serious, considering the consequences. Hey, do you believe in mermaids and mermen?" I said quickly.

"Mer-people? Sure I guess. Since you know how obsessed I am over myths and legends. Why? What's the sudden interest?"

"It's just that... I read that.... no. I saw this really... weird thing this morning, and... ugh why can't I tell you? Why can't I tell you that I might turn into a mermaid?!" I said with frustration.

But once I heard those words coming out of my mouth, my eyes grew larger. I was looking for a sign of disbelief and a face full of joking smiles from Kai, but it never came.

"You... might turn into a mermaid?" Kai asks me seriously as I nod. "An actual, fish tailed mermaid." He added as I nodded.

"But there are consequences. And perks." I said. "I - l'll have love and eternal beauty, and I won't die unless I'm on the surface as a human and I somehow get killed, and if I die at sea, I'll turn into sea foam and that I'll always be half mermaid, half human, and there's all this that I'm taking in right now-" I say as tears started forming in my eyes. "But I'm willing to live as a mythical creature because I have dreamed of it before and I trust the merman that loves me. I'm sorry Kai, but I'll have to leave you, and you'll eventually forget me and won't remember that I even existed." I say, starting to cry.

I felt his warm touch, and then, suddenly, I hear a splash.

"Kai?" I asked as a tear fell out. "Kai?" I called, seeing the empty presence beside me. I leaned over the chair to look for him. One of my teardrops falls into the well, and I see bubbles raging on the water.

"Kai?" I called, touching his white towel. A piece something sparkly, and I widened my eyes when I saw it earlier.

It was a scale. A dark blue, shimmery scale.

Could Kai be the merman? Could he? I thought.

Suddenly, the chair I'm sitting on vanishes, making me fall into the water in a dunk. My body starts burning, and I panic and move my hands, trying to float. I try to gasp for breath because I have a short span of holding my it, and something beneath me grabs my ankles. I scream, and I see the bubbles above me as I'm dragged down the well. Bad choice, I know. But I tried to hold my breath for as long as I could.

Suddenly, I'm flipped downwards, or the direction the merman is swimming.

It was dark here, and my eyes made out something shiny. There was as giant jewel the size of a sand dollar that lit up the well, but not bright enough to see who he was.

On the bottom of the well, there was an opening, another pathway that seemed to lead into the ocean.

He quickly swam, dragging me with him. His soft hands were latched onto mine. My body, still burning, is now cool and slimy.

I look down to see that the bikini has turned into a teal and blue sea shell, and that my feet, pressed together, was in the process of turning into fish scales. My long hair went wild under the water, and it followed wherever I turn my head.

I looked at myself in amazement, and I looked around to find him.

Where are you? I thought. Where's my...

I felt the soft hands cover my eyes, and as he turns me around, I am greeted by his cute and warm smile.

"Kai?!" I said underwater, forgetting that I couldn't really breathe.

"_______" he said as I heard his smooth and deep voice ring in my ears. Kai gives me a wide smile, revealing his pearly whites, and he leans forward.

His lips hug mine, and his hands caresses my cheeks and my face. My hands go over his shoulders as I wrap them around his neck, and I respond to his kiss.

Kai's a merman. Kai... Kai is a mythical creature! And... and Kai loves me. I thought with happiness.

I felt a tear fall out, and Kai wipes it away, revealing a pretty blue gem as our lips are still connected.

During the kiss, I felt like my legs were gone and replaced by a giant fin, which was true.

I felt my lungs burst and burn, but it cooled down. We separate, and I could actually breathe. I stare at Kai in disbelief, and I laugh.

"I- I'm a mermaid now! Kai, I-I'm-" I stutter.

"The most beautiful woman in the world." Kai responds. I felt shivers running up my body, and I realized that our voices were different and magical.

"You... you really think so?" I asked as he nodded and entangled his fingers with mine.

"I know so. _____, you see, my people's- I mean our people's culture and traditions are different than humans. I was really worried that you wouldn't like me, and I tried to catch your attention every chance I could. I should've known that when our Sea Queen gave you the swimsuit, I thought the other guys were going to take you away from me. You see, the swimsuit is given the powers of transformation, and I was scared that you wouldn't want to be like me and go to some other man's arms. I really love you _______. I really do. I'm really sorry if you don't like me. I was scared that I might turn into sea foam." Kai said as I watched him in shock.

"Y-you're.. sea foam? What?" I stammered as he laughed.

"You're still the same. Funny, cute, and beautiful." Kai chuckles as I blush.

"I... I liked you too Kai. And I still do now. So can you explain everything to me as we swim to Atlantis?" I say.

"Atlantis? For what?" Kai asks, puzzled.

"To... get an approval from the Sea God and King???" I say, confused.

"Oh. That. Well _____, I think I have some explaining to do, but I just want to focus on us."

"Oh yes you do mister." I smile. I peck his cheek and say, "That was for being my friend. And this," I say, kissing his lips, "Is for everything else. I love you Kai." I said as Kai blushed.

"I love you _____, my mermaid princess." Kai smiles as he gives my lips a quick peck, and he starts explaining the magical world of merpeople to me.

Hello everybody! Here is the second imagine from my { day } dream batch of imagines, and I hope you guys liked it! So as you probably know, my dreams or dreams in general aren't this detailed and have random plots, so I added details to make it more interesting.

Ok that picture of Kai as a merman I found on Google? Gorgeous and hot. I can't believe that there's so many talented people in our EXO-L fandom. Like we're so fab XD

My original dream: I was trying to change into my swimsuit at a swim park looking area, but it's at a beach. And I just got really frustrated for some reason, and then I couldn't wear my swimsuit, so I "found" a new one in one of the changing stalls and wore that instead. And that escalated quickly to being underwater in a well, swimming downwards, swimming through a sewage thing { like the ones in the Ariel movie with her daughter Melody - the bars and that opening that leads to sea? Yeah that one } and finally going into the sea and the next thing I knew was that I was a mermaid and I was kissing someone [ can't tell who ;) ] and.... Yeah. Talk about wei-rd!

But the plot I made sounds much more sense, right? Haha. Well here's my teeny tiny present to you for the new year, and the next imagine is about a mini Chanyeol.

I chose Chanyeol for that because... Well... He's special to me and... He fits the character? I honestly don't know but whatever!
