I watched Lexi, every day. Seeing how she would get her revenge. It's a very slow process, Lex is one determined person. But while she's doing that, I guess I could work on my screenplay. Luke said a brutal story is what people want to hear. Well, did rescue a little girl by throwing hot coffee into a man's face. Maybe that's more heroic. I'll just have to add in the stealing part, I hate that so much. The stealing. I can't believe I did that. The kid who got an award for tattling on the other kids for stealing back in fifth grade. I'm such a wimp. I have always been the teacher's pet. I did what I was told, I worked harder and I even told on people. Huh, no wonder why Lexi had to stick up for me. I was such a pushover... I mean, I am such a pushover. Look at me, rewriting my life experiences with more of a dark input because someone told me to. But I do everything I do because I need to prove to myself that I can do it. Maybe I should just move onto to another producer, someone who's looking for something happy. Wait, then Luke would just think that I've given up. I didn't give up, I would never give up, I can't give up.

Andy walked over to the couch and sat next to me, "What'cha working on?" He was wearing a long sleeve grey shirt with the sleeves rolled up, dark blue jeans, dress shoes and a silver watch.

"My screenplay. I already got rejected and the guy said it needs to be more dark and brutal." I'm stressing out over it.

"Huh, I mean it's pretty cool that you're writing a screenplay."

I nodded, "Do you want to see a lovey dovey, happy movie or a dark and dangerous movie?"

"Definitely the second one. There are too many happy movies out there already."

"Damn it. Luke was right, all people want to see are dark stories."

He patted the back of my shoulder, "Sorry, man. I hope it works out for you."

Everyone always says that. They hope for the best. They hope it works out. They hope. You know what I hope? I hope people stop saying that. When people say that, it means the have nothing better to say, they feel sorry, I don't want people to pity me, I already pity myself.

"I'm going to head out, want to come with?" Jinx asked. That's actually the first nice thing she has ever said to me. She was wearing a black tank top, covered by a red cardigan, grey skinny jeans with wholes at the knees and black converse.

Does this mean I should be scared? Because I'm already scared of Lexi and one is good enough. Despite my instinct, I nodded and followed her. It would actually be nice to get to know her better. All I know is that she's a punk girl and Andy's little sister. As we were leaving, I noticed Andy looked rather, annoyed. Well, not annoyed, I'm not exactly sure what the word would be, but... Wait. Suspicious, yeah, I think that's a good one. Annoyed and suspicious. I just ignored, would it really mean anything? Maybe he just has resting annoyed suspicious face.

Jinx and I had been walking for a while, I wasn't sure if she was going to say anything. But we did wonder into the city. The city is a nice place. Jinx stopped in front of lovely town house. It was connected to many others, a nice blue color, not too dark and not too light. The door was white with a little gold knob. I wonder why it caught her eye. I stopped with her and just stared at it.

"Uh, you know someone who lives here?" I asked.

She nodded, "Yeah, I slept here a few times. Just forgot something the last time I was here."

I shrugged, I don't think I need to worry. Jinx walked up to the door, went under the mat and got a key. Come on, she forgot something here, I'm sure they left that key for her. She opened the door and walked in. I followed. The inside of this house was nothing like the outside. Dirty, just dirty. Kind of like Jimmy's room before he became a fancy lawyer. Clothes everywhere, food starting to mold, smells awful and it feels abandoned. We walked back the living room? I'm pretty sure that was it, it's so dirty you can't tell. The was a guy sleeping on the couch, covered in beer cans. We went upstairs and into a room that seemed pretty girly, I think it's the cleanest spot in the house. Pink, princess wallpaper, with a purple carpet, a bed with a white frame and there was a lot of glitter. I couldn't believe Jinx once slept here. I noticed that Jinx was searching through everything and taking only certain stuff. Some clothes, jewelry, a brown stuffed bear with one eye missing.

"I see you forgot a lot of stuff." I pointed out.

She nodded, "Now come on, lets go."

We quietly walked downstairs, making sure not to wake the sleeping man. But I accidental tripped over a pile of clothes, knocking down a beer car, which echoed a lot of noise. And thus the sleeping man woke. Jinx and I hid behind the wall, hoping he wouldn't come over. If he did, I'm sure he would be screwed. Luckily he didn't, but right before he sat back down, a little boy walked over to us. He couldn't be more than five. He was black, with short black hair and dark brown eyes. He was wearing a plaid shirt, good taste, a yellow shirt and grey pants with black converse.

"Jinx?" He said pretty loud.

Her eyes got big, "Tommy, shut up." She whispered angry.

"Daddy said you're not allo-"

"Who cares what he said," She looked at me, "You're coming with us."

What is happening? Daddy? Why is he coming with us? I am very confused and scared. The man, who was very tall with a bald head, dark blue eyes and a really big beer gut, turned the corner. He was wearing a white wife beater, with grey sweatpants and no shoes. He looked like the inside of this house.

"Hey! Get out of my house! You fucking whore!" He shouted.

Jinx looked at me dead in the eyes, "Grabbed the boy." She ran off.

I don't know why, but I grabbed the boy and ran off. The guy was chasing us off. Yelling really bad words. We hid behind a bar and the man just ran right by. We waited a few seconds, then ran off again. Finally we got back to the neighborhood. I stopped to catch my breath. I put Tommy down and sat down. As I was heavily breathing, I decided I should get some answers.

"So, who was that guy and why did we take the kid?"

"My dad. He's a real dick." She replied.

Makes sense, I really should've trusted my gut and say Hell no. "Who's Tommy?"

"My half brother. Mom cheated on dad, dad won the custody battle. Stupid judge." She answered annoyed about it.

That't why Andy looked like that. She ended up going to their old home, to grab some of her stuff and steal a child. Everything makes sense now. Oh god, I'm going to deeper place than Hell. I stole a child! Who does that? Who? Well, obviously me! Why the fuck wouldn't I? Oh, this is going to be great in my screenplay! Just fantastic!

"Oh and Edgar," Jinx looked at me, "Thanks, I really couldn't have done this without you." She gave me a slight smile.

I sighed, "Why did you tell me?"

"Would you have gone?"

"Yup, you made the right choice not telling me."

She didn't say anything, just hugged me. I felt like a sisterly hug. It felt nice.

"Now come on, we have to take home our new family member without, Andy killing us." She said, smiling, sounding very joyful about it.

I smiled back and nodded. As we began to walked towards the house with Tommy, I processed what she had just said, "Wait, what?"
