Welcome Home (Err)
Error didn't dare leave Reaper's side. He knew that God's couldn't die in their multiverse, but that was their multiverse. This wasn't theirs. The fact that Reaper still came back- back to life and back to him was something beyond dizzying. He was relieved. He was sorry. He was guilty and scared and never wanted to go through that again, so he clung to Reaper while Reaper sat his majesty and company down to explain. ("what are you going to tell them...?") "w-what-t ar-e y-ou goi-ng to te-ll th-the-m...?" Error whispered softly to Reaper. Reaper picked up their little girl and took a seat on the corner of the bed. "the absolute truth, my love... all of it, from the day this all began..." Reaper replied outloud. "the day it all began?" Fallacy asked. Error's sockets went wide. The truth? A lot of what ifs came into his skull, and he reached for their child, whom Reaper gladly passed over as he began. "yes. the day i, the god of death, fell in love with the god of destruction in our original multiverse." Reaper told him, knowing full well it would further confuse them. "we aren't from this universe at all, king fallacy. we were on the run..."
💮💮💮
Reaper began with an explanation of their multiverse. How it was made of all sorts of gods to keep the balance. How he and Error were the least liked and they bonded over that... among other things. He explained to them how Error got pregnant and how that scared the gods because they were death and destruction. How they were sought after because of it. How they ran to save their child and left their multiverse to live without threat of death looming over Exist's head. She was far too young to come into her powers. After all, there was no guarantee that she would come back like Reaper could. They didn't want to risk it. Reaper explained to the king how they had fully intended to raise Exist as a normal child and be normal parents, but seeing his exlover had... complicated things and caused unexpected drama, leading up to Reaper's death to protect his family. "that leads us to now. yes, error, exist, and i are god's, but we only want to raise our daughter. so please... don't make us leave. we are asking you for asylum..."
💮💮💮
It was quiet for a while. Error felt uncertain and scared already. He was too stressed to be frustrated and just kept clinging to Reaper and Exist. ("this is crazy...") "c'est complètement fou..." Encre muttered. ("i know... i should have told you sooner, encre... i... you were my first ever friend... that looked like... my enemy...") "i-i kn-ow... i-i sho-uld ha-ve to-ld y-ou so-oon-er, en-cre... i... y-ou w-wer-e my fir-st e-ve-r fr-ien-d... th-at loo-ked li-ke... m-y en-emy..." Error whispered softly. ("it was nice...") "i-t wa-s ni-ce..." Reaper arched a bonebrow to Error. "you learned french?" How cute... ("i had time to learn... yeah...") "i h-ad ti-me t-o le-arn... ye-ah..." Encre sighed and gave Error a small smile. ("you never hurt me, even if it's crazy... i like being your friend...") "tu ne m'as jamais fait de mal, même si c'est fou... j'aime être ton ami..." Error smiled back. It was good to know that he was still considered a friend... Fallacy finally sighed and straightened himself out. "you have killed two of my vampires, reaper. are you claiming this act as self-protection?" Reaper shook his head. they had my mate and child under threat. i was protecting my family." Fallacy hummed. "one more chance. you can stay, under the condition that you work as my executioner. might as well make use of your abilities." Reaper and Error shared a look before they agreed.
And that's the end of that! Executioner Reaper and clothes seller Error! I know no sequel is as good as the original, but I hope it was still enjoyed regardless! Have a good morning/afternoon/night!
