Since World War 7, Earth has become a shadow of it's former self. From deforestation, cities have been able to stretch over every inch of the world. And with carbon emissions at an all-time high it was only a matter of weeks before the rest of the polar ice caps melted drowning out a majority of cities and many of it's people. Most of the land was covered with water leaving us survivors moving closer to the mountains and high lands.

We who had survived tried to continue usual life, though we were only able to go out at night since the sun's rays were scorching the world. The human race became nocturnal to protect themselves from the UV rays the ozone could no longer protect us from. New dams were built to protect out cities, well what was left of them, and to provide us with electricity. Human race on the verge of extinction and we still can't live without technology.

We now live in ruin, those left fight to survive. Others are disappearing. During the day, while people sleep, people are being taken. Some are lucky enough to be left alone, while others are gone forever. Will I be next? The typical response when this comes up, but the one question no one cares to ask, where are they going?
