Sk: it's wasn't all rainbows and sunshine either some pretty big problems also arose.

Nj: what do you mean ? What happened.

Sk: my younger brother happened.

Nj: huh ?

Sk: well few days back I had got home from a hang out with friends and I was met with my mom screaming at Ritu. Turns out he got a girlfriend.

Nj: huh ? What's wrong with that ? I thought you said your mom was ok with you and you brothers dating once they are over 18.

Sk: ya she is . But the issue is not him dating .

Nj: then ?

Sk: he got his girlfriend pregnant. And the dude is just 21 while the girl is 19. Neither of them as financially stable on their own as you might have guessed as Hritik just finished degree courses while Jhanvi his girlfriend is still in college.

Nj: well abortion is legal there right.

Sk: yes on certain terms and conditions. But Jhanvi don't want an abortion , says she can't bring herself to a life growing inside her , that she can't take away the chance to live and see the world from a child who did nothing wrong. And we were understanding about her feelings but both families weren't really happy about the news either.

Nj: well that's understandable but then what's the final decision.

Sk: well we r definitely going to help them and support them but not completely. Hritik is to find a stable job before Jhanvi enters her third trimester. All the medical expenses of Jhanvi will be taken care of until Jhanvi leaves the hospital after delivering the child. After that they both have to financially support themselves , neither families will help them financially with the baby unless and until it's an emergency. But they will help in other ways neither of them will be kicked out which in my eyes is not necessarily a favour , Jhanvi and Hritik are free to live in their respective houses or live together in my family's house but they will be in separate rooms until couple years later when both of them are financially stable and Jhanvi is done with her Education. So that they both can be married . Both families are ready to look after the child while the parents are out for their educational purposes or work related purposes , but if they wanna hang out with friends , go for parties etc , their child is their responsibility.

Nj: that's sound a tad bit cruel but I understand it's necessary to teach them the responsibilities they are gonna have by taking the decision of having a child.

Sk: by the way are you planning on staying over tonight ?

Nj: yaa , I haven't seen u or talked to you properly in weeks did you think was gonna leave soon.

Sk: ofcourse not that's why I asked if you are staying over ? . And since you are staying over you can go get fresh and change into your PJs you left in here last time . Their in the top right shelf of the cupboard in the room you usually uses . And by the time you get fresh come I'll go make dinner then we can eat together.

Nj: sounds good.
