|| Haruto P.O.V. ||

Beep... Beep... Beep... Beep...

I heard on repeat... The soft wind is what I could also hear... It sounds like it was coming from beside me...

I gently fludder open my eyes. The harsh daylight meeting them causing them to close again.
But, after a little while, they finally adjust so I could see clearly.

The bright sun shining through the window beside me,
Helping frame the small hospital room I'm currently in.
I noticed one of two things first.

One. The year is freekin' 20XX! That was a few decades ago!

And Two. MY HANDS AREN'T WRINKLED AND OLD!

It honestly came as a big surprise... Is this a dream? Am I dead?

So many questions came rushing to mind, some possible some not.
I tried to come up with a logical explanation.
But I sadly couldn't.

But,
Even with a thousand different questions coming and going.
Only one stands out from them all...

Is Kimi here-

"Umm? Hello? I heard noises-" she looked over to me, eyes wide with suprise. Like I've just risen from the dead. My eyes wide aswell, for the nurse standing in the doorframe... Was Kimi...

"Uh. Hi? May I ask, where I am miss, Kanashii? I suppose." I asked her,

"Oh! Umm how do you know my name?" She asked slightly timid, but still the confident Kimi I know and love.

"I'm fairly sure you go to my high school. Am I wrong?"

"No. You're not but... Why would you pay attention to me?" She asked again, interested with my information.

"Nope∼Not until you awnser, where I am and how I got here." I told her playfully as she just rolled her eyes.

"Fine, you're at Pīnatsu Hospital. And you're here because... Well, because of an unexpected blow to the head. We haven't found out who did it but it but you in comatose for quite a while. About... One, two, three, four...- Five days! It's a miracle you're actually awake. Plus, today's Friday." She explained

"And... How does it being Friday do anything?" I ask smirking, knowing exactly why...

"Because it's when you/I get to finish your/my internship!" I said with her, we ended up syncing together which actually didn't sound half bad.

"H-how did you...?" She looked flabbergasted, confused and interested on how I said the same thing as her.

"Jinx∼" I winked at her as she stared at me

"Anyways? When may I leave? I would like to see my grandmother and sister." I told her, smiling brightly at her as she replied with a

"I'll go ask." And walked off.

I remember the wait... It was is long! But eventually, she finally came back!

"Umm? Mr Kaito was it? How are you feeling?" A tall middle-aged black haired doctor come to my side,

"I'm fine, you?" I said politely.

"I'm doing great actually, I'm just suprised your... Awake!" He exclaimed,

"Yeah, well umm... Can I go now?" I ask him, ready to come out of bed.

"Not, now. We just want to make sure your stable, and then we'll let you go." He told me as he got up ready to leave,

"Wait!" I told him, he turned his head to look at me, probably wondering why I called out to him.

"Can you send Kimi here please? I would like to talk to her in private."

"Oh! Your nurse, she already told you her name? Anyways, of course. She'll be on her way." He told me as he left the room.

|| Short Time Skip ||

"Umm, hello?" I heard a honey-sweet voice come from the doorframe, not long after, a pretty face sticking it's head it the room.

"Oh, Kimi. You're here!" I told her happily as I gave her one of my best smiles.

She gave me a small smile and took the seat beside me.

"So, what did you want to talk about?" She asked

"Well, I was just wondering if you remember." I said as I looked away, not wanting her to see my eyes water.

"W-what do you mean?" She asked as her cheeks flourished,

"Us... But, to be honest with you, I don't know if I just lived through one long dream... It felt so real... Everything was-"

"Real..." She cut me off as she looked at her lap.

" I do remember, I remember dying because of that truck... I remember going to the theme park. I remember all the times we had together... But, I don't know what happened. I just... Woke up to this year, but... Thinking it was a dream. I pretended to not care. But, when I saw you with your fangirls, it tore me apart..." She said.

"Where you lying? Where you the one who hit me over the head?" I asked curiously,

"Umm... Y-yeah... But! Only because we met after someone hit you on your head! I didn't mean to put you in comatose! I swear! I just... Wanted to be with you again..." She said quietly,

"Is.... Is that a confession...?" I asked her, eyes wide.

"Heh... I, guess it is..." She said softly, her face lightly dusted with pink

"Well? Arn't you going to come over and kiss me?" I asked playfully as her face became redder

"W-what!? N-no... I want to take you somewhere instead... Somewhere, you may remember..." She said softly as she turned around, ready to leave...

"Hey! Where are you going!?" I asked her,

"Getting your blood test ready... See you!" She said as she left, leaving my face drained of colour. I hated shots and needles... I remember, when I was young... My grandmother would tell me we were going for ice cream. Unfortunately for me, it was a lie. And my onee-chan had to carry me into the car and hospital. And I was to young to remember but, that trick worked every time...

Until I finally realized it was a trick... But they replaced cake instead of ice cream and at times it does still work...

After my little thought session Kimi came back... But with another nurse... And a tray of needles...

I look at her  wide eyes as she just smiles and pushes the tray in the room.

"It's not as bad as it looks." She said as her and the other nurse prepare my arm...

God... If you're out there, please help me...

|| Time Skip! ||

"Ow... Ow..." I walked around the hospital, walking to the front desk.

"You okay?" The lady at the front desk asked, concerned why I'm limping around while holding my arm.

"Yeah... My arm just kinda still hurts from the shots..." I told her sheepishly as I started checking out,

"Since you're under eight teen we need to call your gardian. Mother or father?" She asked as I started to remember,

I remember, when I first came. I Boulder with hatred when they mentioned my parents. But, after living a lifetime, I've learned to live and let go. But, it's important to never forget. For if you forget, then! You'll only be hurt again.

"Grandmother." I told her politely as she just nodded and got to work. While I limped over to the nearest chair and relaxed.

"I didn't know those needles hurt so much... Sorry about having to give so much of them" I heard from beside me, immediately recognizing the voice belonged to Kimi.

"Eh, I've lived a full lifetime. I'm mentally used to it but, my young body. Not so much." I chuckled, keeping my eyes closed and hands in lap.

Even though my eyes were closed I could still tell she was curious.

"After I died... How long did you live after that?" She asked,

"A few more decades. I was expecting to die soon anyway. I was entering my ninetys..." I told her, remembering my time spent as an old man. It was... Interesting to say the least.

"... So? How was being an old man?" She asked, trying to start up a conversation.

"It was...-" I tried to tell her, but I was swiftly interrupted by a big hug.

"Mmm?" My voice muffled by the arms of my hugger,

"HARUTO!!!! HOW DARE YOU ALMOST LEAVE ME!!!" the voice of my saddened sister could be heard as I felt wetness at the top of my head.

All I could really do is pat her arms, if I did try to confort her, it'll just be all muffled.

I felt another pair of arms snake around me, this time infront of me instead of behind.

"Haruto... Please, don't do that again" I heard my grandmother say infront of me

Eventually, after we shared our moment. They realised me from they're grip of love.

I come to face my grandmother infront of me, and strands of pink hair flowing ever so gently in the corners of my eyes.

I also noticed that there was an awkward faced Kimi sitting two seats down from me, probably waiting for me and my family to finish.

"So, who's she?" I heard from behind me, presuming it was my sister.

'I have alot of explaining to do don't I?' I thought to myself as I prepared myself for the hour long questioning I'm going to have....

"Kimi? Would you mind helping me explain?" I asked her as I could just barely see her nod at the corner of my eye

"Sure. You're starting thought. Am remember, we are still in the hospital."

Oh yeah! We are.

"Well we'll tell you in the car. So buckle up because it's going to be a long story."

"We're prepared for anything!" My sister said as she wiped of the rest of the remaining tears and looked at me determined to listen.

"Well, to the car!" I said enthusiastically as I began walking enthusiastically towards the exit.
