Y/n, Lani, and Ceccile met up with Madden and Devin on the way to lunch. Hort wasn't with them, and of course Lani noticed that Y/n had seemingly looked for him in the group. When they walked into the lunch hall, the evers were talking politely to one another, their side of the room filled with bright colors. The nevers were yelling and laughing.

"Well, this looks fun." Ceccile stated with a blank face. Y/n nodded in agreement. The group went to sit down and a few of them went to grab food. It left Lani, Y/n, and Devin at the table. 

"Okay what's going on?" Devin asked expectantly. Y/n gave him a confused look. He rolled his eyes. "With Hort. You're ignoring him. Why?" Y/n looked over at Lani for help but she just shrugged. 

"Nothing's going on. I'm just not talking to him." Y/n shrugged as she looked around nonchalantly, trying to ignore the topic. Lani snickered from beside her. 

"She likes him." She stated. Devin looked up at someone that was standing behind them. Y/n and Lani turned in their seats and saw Hort standing behind them. 

"Who does she like?" 

Y/n stood up, ignoring him once again. She moved to leave, trying to head out the door. Lani and Devin gestured for him to go after her and he sighed before walking after her. 

"Why won't you talk to me? I didn't do anything wrong-" He tried to reach for her arm but she just slipped out the door and into the hallway to go back to the school for evil. Hort huffed and grabbed her arm, pushing her against the wall so she couldn't escape. 

She was defenseless, pinned to the wall.
