CHAPTER 30: HE TRUSTED THE SUN.

A/N: Um... hey guys hehe....

I know I know.... I'm late as heck... I'm really really sorry... I'm pretty busy, I have my Ordinary Levels coming up in two months and there's so much left to do! Sigh....

Also, I DID try to finish this chapter earlier, but I came down with a lil case of writer's block... I won't say it's completely gone yet, so if any of you feel like this chapter is stiff, or that it doesn't quite flow smoothly, that's the reason. But still, if any of you feel unsatisfied by this, please don't hesitate to let me know okay?

I apologize once more for my lateness...

Oh btw, I posted an original story! It a short horror story i wrote a while back, so it's not really.... well... not that good... but i just found it lying around in some folder and thought 'hm! might as well! put it out there!'

anyways, that is the old me writing, it MIGHT be horrible, if u find it stiff or just plain bad, it's because of that lol....

but still, i'd really love it if u guys can check it out? yeah.

ANYWAYS FOLKS I hope you enjoy this!

BON APPETIT!

--

"We think Ghostking might've done something bad... to Will..."

........

WhAt?!

Nico thanked whatever god who stopped him from exclaiming loudly. But that accusation was-

Absolutely OUTRAGEOUS!

I would NEVER hurt Will!

His shock must've been written all over his face. He had had years upon years of training in schooling his features into the most impressive poker face ever. Now that poker face failed him. Betrayed him.

For Will.

For Sunshot.

For his rival, his partner, his friend, his boy-

*cue Nico getting slapped upside the head by that small part of his brain that hasn't been influenced by a certain Will Solace's sunny, rotten brain cells-*

* cue Nico's Will-influenced rotten brain cells slapping that small sane part of his brain back twice as hard-*

For his boyfriend.

Lou Ellen and Cecil seemed to misinterpret his shocked expression, as the girl nodded in agreement, "I know, it's a lot."

"He won't do it!" Nico found himself saying. He regretted his words the moment the left his lips

"What?" came Cecil's intelligent reply.

Oops?

Well, no turning back now. Besides... Nico needed these two to... trust Ghostking.

Nico nervously cleared his throat, he suddenly felt very self-conscious, trying not to shrink under the expectant stares the two were giving him, "I meant.... I don't think Ghostking would... stoop so low."

Cecil raised his eyebrows, and exchanged a look with Lou Ellen.

"Dude," Cecil started, sounding dubious, "this is Ghostking we're talking about! Ghostking!"

"I know but..." Nico scrambled to find words... how can he make them believe? How?

Then an idea sparked.

He took a deep breath and stated,

"Will trusts him... and I... I trust Will."

He trusted Will.

I trust Will.

It was at that moment that Nico realized... he meant it. He truly, truly, meant it.

Nico glanced back at Lou Ellen and Cecil, and said with new found certainty, "if Will trusts Ghostking enough to collaborate with him... then he can't possibly be a bad guy."

Lou Ellen stared at him long and hard, before finally releasing a sigh, "but Will has always been naïve and overly trusting... what's to say that Ghostking won't take advantage of him?"

CalmdownNicocalmdownNicocalmdown.

"If he really IS Sunshot, then I'm sure he has had his fair share of experiences... he's smart, he can make his decisions," Nico said decisively. He leveled a cold glare at them, "if you two don't even trust him to pick his allies correctly, do you even have the right to call yourselves his friends?"

Lou Ellen opened her mouth, maybe to retort, Nico wouldn't know, because she just snapped her mouth shut. She looked angry at being told off, but she also looked guilty.

Nico would be lying if he said he didn't feel a sliver of satisfaction.

Cecil's face turned red as he glared at the ground. Instead of being angry at Nico, he seemed to be fuming at himself.

Nico knew that feeling.

It... wasn't the best in the world.

He let the two of them digest his words properly.

"Nico's right," Cecil looked up suddenly, "we should trust Will's judgement."

"You too?!" Lou Ellen exclaimed angrily.

"Will isn't a little kid anymore, Lou!" Cecil murmured.

"But still!"

"W-well! Will trusts Ghostking!" Cecil fired back, "and I trust Will!"

Nico stared wide eyed at the two of them, he didn't expect them to get so... fired up.

"I trust Will too!" Lou Ellen persisted, "it's Ghostking who I don't trust!"

"How can you be so sure that he'd hurt Will?" Nico decided to cut in, making both of them jerk their heads at him.

After all... what's an argument without Nico frigging di Angelo? Especially when this very argument had his other persona as the subject?

"Because I-" Lou Ellen clamped her mouth shut, restraining herself from speaking.

"Because you what?"

"I know it's Ghostking who's behind this!"

To say Nico was taken aback by how absolutely sure she sounded was an understatement.

In fact, she sounded so certain, that it almost made Nico doubt himself. Almost.

"How?" Nico asked, his voice dangerously low and maybe... just maybe... a little raw.

Cecil looked between the two of them as they glared each other down. He looked severely conflicted. Nico was sure he wanted to protect Lou Ellen from Nico's onslaught of questions and wrap her up in his safe embrace... but he also knew that Cecil trusted Will enough to trust that Ghostking wouldn't hurt him.

Nico knew he had Cecil on his side in this argument... but for how long? Especially when the opponent was his potential future girlfriend?

"Because... because..."

Nico stared at her hard.

"Because..."

"Just spit it out, will you?!"

"I just know!"

"You don't 'just know' about such things, Lou!"

Lou Ellen flinched back.

Nico inched closer, his dark eyes narrowed, "you know something, clearly..."

Lou Ellen gulped.

"Why won't you tell us?"

Lou Ellen had the audacity to look away.

Nico's patience was two bones away from shattering. He tried again.

"Why?"

"Why is how I know so important?!"

One bone.

"Don't you guys trust me!?"

Annnd there goes the last bone.

"TRUST YOU?" Nico exploded, leaping to his feet. Lou Ellen yelped in fear and surprise. Cecil cried out as well, springing to his feet and planting himself between Lou Ellen and Nico, "Nico! Calm down, will you?!"

Nico wanted to give him a piece of his mind, or even better, a hard slap upside the head.

But however...

He forgot the rickety condition his body was currently in.

Let's just say, sudden movements while you're sleep deprived and magically exhausted is something... unadvisable.

He gasped as he staggered forwards, his body giving out on him. Dark spots danced about in his vision. He felt suffocated. All his senses started to dull.

Was he underwater?

He felt like he was underwater...

Blissful darkness called him. He didn't even feel Cecil catch him.

No- no- I can't pass out now!

Not- not now!

Not...

And the world goes dark.

A/N: Guys he passed out.

And my cat has gone bonkers, like WHAT is she doing in that bag?! And now she's sniffing at my coffee like she's realized it just now that her head fits in the mug... AND NOW SHE'S WALKING OVER MY VIOLIN WTH- GET OFF U LIL CRITTER!

Sighhhhhhhhhhh I love her tho...

But I love my violin too....aaaaaa...

*Takes a while to read what I've typed* What in the fields of asphodel am I even saying? * blink blink * don't mind me yall.

SO how was it? Let me know what you think! Comments and feedback are greatly appreciated! Constructive criticism is always accepted!
