Pallavi's POV

Its been about 5 hours by now. We had rushed Anna to the hospital, and the doctor said he is ok. They are hoping he wakes up soon though. I look at my phone for the hundredth time. Still no reply from Ishika, my sister. I am worried about her, because she always replies to my texts.

Ishika's POV

I had been running for the past three days. I haven't eaten or drank anything. Not even a sip of water. I had entered Hyderabad almost three hours ago. I heard news that the new DCP is none other than Charan, my brother's best friend.

I look behind me and see the goons still chasing me. I keep running, knowing that I'm only a few minutes away from Charan's house. After a few minutes, I see his house. I find a parade, and manage to lose the goons for some time. Going to his house, I ring the bell many times. A maid opens the door.

"Evaru kavalamma?" she asks.

"Who do you want?" she asks.

"Ch-charan."

"Charan babu Durga temple daggara unnaramma." she says.

"Charan sir is at the Durga temple." she says.

I run back outside, and start running to the Durga temple.

"Ey! Pattukondra daanni!" I hear behind me.

"Hey! Catch her!" I hear behind me.

Looking back, I see the goons chasing me again. My legs hurt, and I feel so tired. Maybe...maybe I won't see Charan. Maybe I'll die without seeing him.

I keep running, going where my legs take me. I hear the music from the sacred Durga pooja today, and it gives me a bit more energy. I run through the temple gates. I see Charan and his family there.

"CHARANNN" I yell. He turns and looks at me, recognition in his eyes. At that moment, I feel a metal thing hit the back of my head.

"Ah!" I shout, falling. I hit the ground, and the goons stop behind me.

I look up and whisper, "Charan."

Charan's POV

I was just going to give the prasad to the goddess Durga when I hear the sound of cars.

"CHARANNN!" I hear a familiar voice. I turn and see Ishika, Vijay's sister.

"Ishika?" I whisper.

Suddenly, one of the goons throws a metal rod at her. It hits the back of her head with a thwack. I close my eyes and suck in a sharp breath as Ishika lets out a shout and hits the ground.

She looks up at me, and whispers my name. The goons get out of the car.

"Nalugu rojula nunchi parigethavu kadave. Yevadu kapadthadu?" one of them laughs.

"You've been running for the past four days. Who will save you?" one of them laughs.

The rest laugh along with him. My anger rises, and I push my sleeves up. Walking down the steps, I walk up to Ishika. Helping her stand, I look into her eyes.

"Nenunte neeku dhairame kada?" I ask her. she nods.

"You feel brave if I am there right?" I ask her. She nods.

I move my head up and down.

"Choodu. Nanne choode." I yell at her as one of the goons comes running to hit me.

"Look. Look at only me." I yell at her as one of the goons comes running to hit me.

I punch him in the stomach, and kick him on the back of his knees, making him fall.

"Choodu!" I yell at Ishika. She looks back at me.

"Look!" I yell at Ishika. She looks back at me.

I kick another goon and punch another in his face. They fall on either side of me.

"Charan!" I hear Ishika yell. I turn around. One of them has a knife held to her neck. My anger rises. In one motion, I pull my gun out from my back pocket and shot him in the head. Ishika covers her ears and closes her eyes just as the bullet hits the guy in the head. I turn around and start shooting at the goons, hitting them. After a few more fall. The rest run away in their cars.

I rush over to Ishika, and catch her just as she falls. We take her back home.

Ishika's POV

Charan and his family take me back home. I am sitting in a sofa, and Charan is standing. The rest of his family is there as well.

"Vallena?" Charan asks, anger showing in his eyes. I nod.

"Was it them?" Charan asks, anger showing in his eyes. I nod.

"Emaindi ma?" his dad asks me.

"What happened dear?" his dad asks me.

"Adi..."

"Its..."

"Vijay gurinchi nanna." Charan replies quickly.

"Its about Vijay dad." Charan replies quickly.

"Vijay..." his dad asks.

"Ishika Vijay chelli."

"Ishika is Vijay's sister."

"Nee venta enduku paddaru? Vallu evaru?" Charan's dad asks me.

"Why were they chasing you? Who are they?" Charan's dad asks me.

"Nenu na chelli, Pallavi, iddarni premincham uncle. Kaani, Vijay annaki chepthe, maa pelliki oppukoledu. vaalu iddaru mafia tho, illegal activities chestunnaru ani Vijay annaki thelusu. Memu vinaledu. Malli theliselopale, iddaru maa ammani, maa vadinani champesaru. Tharuvatha, Vijay anna inka brathukunnadu ani thelisindi. Nenu naa peruni marchukuni aidellu unnanu. Pallavini Vijay unna chotukipampinchanu. Adi akkade safega untundi ani anukunna. Nenu Chennai nunchi Andhra Pradeshki vellanu. Thapinchukunnanu ani anukunelopala, vaallu naalugu rojulu mundu choosaru. Appatinunchi parigethuthune unnanu. Charan DCP ayyadu ani thelisi. Anduke, ikkadiki vachanu. Chachipothanemo ani anukunna." I explain.

"My sister, Pallavi and I loved two people uncle. But, Vijay anna didn't let us get married to them. Vijay anna knew that they had ties with the Mafia, and were involved in illegal activities too. But, we didn't listen to him. By the time we realized, they had killed our mother and sister-in-law. We found out later that Vijay anna was still alive. I sent Pallavi to where Vijay was, so she would be safe. I changed my name, and came from Chennai to live in Andhra Pradesh. I thought I had escaped, but they found me four days ago. I was running for the past four days. I had found out that Charan is the new DC here, so I came here. I though I would die." I explain.

I'm crying now. It is my fault that my mom and sister-in-law were killed.

"Idigo, manchi neellu thagamma." Charan's mom says, giving me a glass of water.

"Here. Drink water dear." Charan's mom says, giving me a glass of water.

"Akaliga undi aunty." I say. "Naalugu rojulanunchi parigethuthune unnanu."

"I'm hungry aunty." I say. "I've been running for the past four days."

"Ra amma."  she says, helping me get up.

"Come dear." she says, helping me get up.

I limp with the help of his mom and two other women. They feed me, and give me a new dress to wear. I take a shower and wear the dress. I have a big cut on my head, so we go to the hospital.

**At the hospital**

I'm sitting on the hospital bed, feeling a bit better. Charan walks in, and looks at me. He gives me two thumbs up, asking if I was alright. I look at him and smile. Nodding, a thought enters my head.

I think I love him...

Pallavi's POV

The doctor walks out of Vijay anna's room.

"Doctor?" Rajendra anna and I say, getting up.

"He is alright now. Completely out of danger. You can go see him." he says.

Rajendra anna goes in first. After a few minutes, he comes to the door and beckons to me to come in.

Slowly, I walk in...
