Vijay's POV

We arrive at the address that Arjun had texted to me.

"Vijay, back up vasthundi, wait cheyyi." Charan's voice says over the phone.

"Vijay, back up is on the way, wait." Charan's voice says over the phone.

"Sare, vaallu raani, nenu antha lopu ikkada complete chestha."

"Ok, let them come. I'll finish up here until they come."

Before he can say anything I end the call and put the phone in my pocket. I gesture for Karan to stay here. He clearly doesn't like it, but listens to what I say. I pull out my gun and flashlight as I walk into the factory.

"Arjun!" I yell. My voice echoes as I walk through the factory. "Arjun!" I yell again as I reach the center of the factory. I see Arjun there, sitting on a table.

"Vijay, Vijay, Vijay." He says.

"Nivi ekkada?" I ask.

"Where is Nivi?" I ask.

"Ne kuthuriki em kaaledu le."

"Nothing happened to your daughter."

"Nivi. Ekkada." I ask again, my patience waning.

"Where. Is. Nivi." I ask again, my patience waning.

"Proofs ekkada."

"Where are the proofs."

I pull out a flash drive. He holds out his hand for me to give it to me.

"First Nivi ni ivvu."

"First give me Nivi."

He sighs.

"Aa pillani theeskuni randra." He says.

"Bring the girl." He says.

A few men come out, dragging a limp body of a girl. It's not Nivi, though, it's Vidya. She has bruises and cuts all over her body. Two more guys bring out Nivi. She's not hurt but her hands are tied.

"Baby?" She says, looking at me.

"Nivi!"

"Aww, entha cute ga unnaru ra iddaru."

"Aww, how cute are you two."

"Rey, iddarini vadileyyi."

"Hey, leave them both."

"Abba! Iddarini vadilesthe naakenti?"

"Oh! What will I get if I let both of them go?"

"Iddarini vadilentha varaku ee flash drive neeku ivvanu."

"I won't give you this flash drive until you leave them both."

"Aa flash drive ki okarine kaapadachu Vijay nuvvu."

"You can only save one of them with that flash drive Vijay."

"Deentlo unna information leak aithe neeku uri siksha khaayam."

"If I leak the information in this, you are bound to be hung."

He laughs.

"Vijay, aa flash drive lo unna proofs nannu emi cheyyalevu."

"Vijay, the proofs on that flash drive won't hurt me."

I look at him, confused. Then it strikes me. He has people to take the blame for him. The company, V Medicals is not owned by him. On paper, it's owned by another person, some Vismay Thota. I remember something about him on the news a few days ago. If these proofs are leaked, Vismay will be put in jail, not Arjun.

"Neeku em kaavali?" I ask.

"What do you want?" I ask.

"Nuvvu." He answers. "Na thammudi chavvuki kaaranam nuvvu. Nuvvu longipo, veelliddarini vadilestha."

"You." He answers. "My brother died because of you. You surrender and I'm let these two go."

"Sare, vaallani vadileyyi."

"Ok, let them go."

"Abba, nuvvu sare ante nammesthana?"

"You think I'll trust you if you say ok?"

"Em cheyyali."

"What should I do."

"Gun itu padeyyi. Knees meeda kurcho. Thala meeda chethulu pettu."

"Throw the gun here, kneel down, and put your hands on your head."

I do as he says.

"Baby!" Nivi exclaims. I look at her and meet her eyes.

One of Arjun's guys comes up to me and kicks me, making me fall to the ground. I don't get up.

"Vallani vadileyyi." I say.

"Let them go." I say.

He laughs out loud.

"Nenu anubhavinchina badhani nuvvu kuda anubhavinchali kada Vijay."

"You have to go through the pain that I went through right Vijay."

He pulls out a gun and points it at Nivi's head.

"Rey!" I shout.

"Hey!" I shout.

Just then, all hell breaks loose. Gunshots go off and my only thought it protecting Nivi. I look up and see her, standing in the middle of the chaos, scared and unsure of what to do.

"Nivi run!" I shout.

I immediately stand up and run towards her. Just as I reach her, I feel a tearing pain in my back and my arm. I fall to the ground, Nivi wrapped in my arms, and see Arjun. He has a smirk on his face and a gun pointed at us. I immediately grab the gun next to me and aim it at Arjun. Pulling the trigger, I shoot him until all the bullets are used. I watch as he falls to the ground and bleeds out.

"Baby? Baby?" Nivi says. I open my eyes a bit and see her angelic face in front of me. Behind her is Mithra. Mithra looks at me and smiles. I give her a smile back before my eyes close and all I see is darkness.
