Vijay's POV

It has been two months since I joined the police force and it has been great. Everyone in the station is kind to me. Charan and I have been working together on numerous cases. Today is Charan and Ishika's marriage. The house is bustling with happiness. If Amma was here, I'm sure she would be very proud. Pallavi is rushing around, getting everything ready for the priest. She has been busy nonstop all week with the wedding preparations.

"Pallavi, poolu ekkada thagilichanu?" Nani asks, walking in with flower garlands.

"Pallavi, where should I hang these flowers?" Nani asks, walking in with flower garlands.

"Hmmmm" Pallavi looks around and points to a spot. "Akkada thagili."

"Hmmmm" Pallavi looks around and points to a spot. "Hang them there."

Nani nods before going to hang the flower garlands.

I think I forgot to mention how Nania nd Pallavi have gotten very close over the coarse of the past two months. They haven't told me yet, but I can tell they're in love with each other. Honestly, I don't think they know it yet either.

Pallavi's POV

I have been running around like a mad woman but it's my Ishika Akka's marriage! Of course I should be running around!

"Pallavi, calm down." Ishika Akka says to me when I walk into her room to see her not ready yet.

"Calm down?!" I exclaim. "Calm down ela avvamantav?! Nuvvu inka ready avvaledenti? Muhurtham ki time avthundi!"

"Calm down?!" I exclaim. "How do you expect me to calm down?! Why aren't you ready yet? It's almost time for the muhurtham(sacred time to get married)!"

Akka sighs and walks up to me.

"Naaku telusu."

"I know."

I stare at her in disbelief.

"Mari inka nilchunnaventi ready avvu! Kaani!"

"Then why are you still standing get ready! Go!"

Akka just looks at me and gently strokes my hair. Tears start to bubble in her eyes.

"Akka-?" I say.

She doesn't say anything.

"Akka em ayyindi? Enduku edusthunnav?" I ask, worried something happened.

"Akka what happened? Why are you crying?" I ask, worried something happened.

"Thanks ra." She says, giving me a big hug.

And I know everything's fine.

Charan's POV

I'm trying to wear my dhoti but am failing miserably. I hear the door open behind me. I turn around and am met with Vijay.

"Hi ra." I greet him.

"Hi." He replies, walking in.

"Emanna kaavala?" I ask.

"Do you need anything?" I ask.

"Rey, rey, mari intha formalality avasaram ledu." He says coming over and helping me with my dhoti.

"Dude, dude, you don't need to be so formal." He says coming over and helping me with my dhoti.

I just laugh nervously.

"Sorry bro."

"Tsk sorry enti. And bro kaadu, bava."

"Tsk why sorry. And not bro, brother-in-law."

I nod. "Okay." I say.

"So, ready a sir gaaru?" Vijay asks.

"So, is sir ready?" Vijay asks.

"Deniki?"

"For what?"

Naa chelli tho pelli ra!"

"For getting married to my sister man!"

The way he says it scares me, almost as if me getting married to her sister is going to be the worst thing ever.

"Ala annav entra?" I ask.

"Why did you say it like that man?" I ask.

He just smiles.

"Emi ledu ra. Pelli ayyaka chukkalu choopistharu." He laughs.

"Nothing man. After marriage they show us the stars." He laughs.

Vijay's POV

"Pelli kuthurni theesukoni randamma." The priest says to the ladies.

"Bring the bride." The priest says to the ladies.

They bring Ishu towards the mandap. Tears brim in my eyes as I see my dear sister dressed up, about to get married to the person she loves more than anything. Ishika stops in front of me and I gently stroke her head and smile before nodding for her to sit down next to Charan. She sits and the priest tells Charan to tie the nuptial chain around Ishu'a neck. Once he does, they both stand up and walk around the fire seven times. I watch, tears in my eyes. My little girl is all grown up.

Even though Amma and Mithra aren't here, I know they're watching, and they must be as happy as I am seeing Ishika all grown up and happy. I wish they were here, but they are in a better place now, and they will look over us.

Hey guysssssssss. Okay, so I finally managed to update this book too. I am so so soooo sorry for not being able to update in so long. I had so much going on and then when I started working on this chapter 2 weeks ago, I got covid and was completely down so I was unable to do much.
