Charan's POV

Vijay and I are peacefully drinking tea and talking when he gets a message. He takes out his phone. After a while, the glass in his hand drops and shatters.

"Vijay. Emaindi ra?" I ask.

"Vijay. What happened man?" I ask.

He stares at me, eyes wide and filled with tears. Suddenly, his phone rings.

Vijay's POV

I look up at Charan, tears filling my eyes. My phone rings. The same number that sent me the message. I lift the phone.

"Vijay Kumar!" the still familiar voice greets me from the other side.

Before I can say anything, he continues.

"Ninnu choosthunte naake chaala jaliga undi. Nee pellam, nee thalli. Iddaru chachipoyaru. Nene champesanu." he laughs.

"I feel very bad for you. Your wife, your mom. Both are dead. I killed them." he laughs.

"Rey!" I yell, tears pouring out of my red, blood-shot eyes.

"Hey!" I yell, tears pouring out of my red, blood-shot eyes.

"Shhh. Aristhe thirigosthara?" he asks. "Next, nuvvu, nee bidda."

"Shhh. Will they return if you yell?" he asks. "Next, you, your daughter."

"Rey. Please ra. Nannu naa kuthurni emi cheyyaku. Nee joliki asalu ramu. Vadileyyi." I say.

"Hey. Pleasae. Don't do anything to my daughter. We won't come near you. Leave it." I say

"Nee kuthuri chavuni nuvvu kallara choosthavu."

"You will witness your daughters' death."

"Rey! Naa kuthuru meeda okka cheyyi padinakuda...champestha." I yell.

"Hey! If you touch my daughter...I will kill you." I yell.

I cut the call, and tears pour out of my eyes.

"Vijay..." Charan says. I look up and hand him my phone, wiping my tears.

Charan's POV

He hands me his phone and I look at the first thing on the screen. A video.

In the video, Mithra is tied to a chair. She is bleeding from a bullet wound. A guy stabs her, and she screams.

I look away, unable to look at the horror. They continuously stab her, and the video ends when she falls limp, lifeless.

Tears fall from my eyes, and I hastily wipe them.

His phone rings. I look at it, and see that it's Pallavi. I lift the call.

"Pallu?" I say.

"Anna, memu KIMS hospitallo unnamu. Thvaraga randi." she says, sounding worried.

"Anna, we are at KIMS hospital. Come fast." she says, sounding worried.

"Amma, emayindi?" I ask, but the call cuts.

"What happened dear?" I ask, but the call cuts.

I try again, but it comes as switched off.

"Rey Vijay. Padara." I say.

"Hey Vijay. Lets go." I say.

He looks up at me, his eyes read and blood-shot. He gets into the car, not questioning, and I drive to KIMS, trying not to get worried.

On the way there, we stop at a police checkpoint. I begin to drive through it as always, since I am a police, but a constable stops me.

"Ekkadiki ra? Checking jaruguthondi. Kallu dobbaya?" he asks.

"Where are you going? A checking is taking place. Are you blind?" he asks.

"Rey! Nenu DCP Charan." I say.

"Hey! I'm DCP Charan." I say.

"DCP aiythe naakenti, vaadi amma mogudu aiythe naakenti?" he asks.

"Why do I care if its the DCP or his mom's husband?" he asks.

I am about to get down, very angry, when Raju, the head constable comes.

"Sir, sorry sir. Vellandi." he says, saluting.

"Sir, sorry sir. Please go." he says, saluting.

"I want to see him tomorrow." I say to Raju.

"Yes sir!" he salutes again.

I continue to the hospital.

I stop in the front, and Vijay and I run inside.

"Uh, Nivi, chinna papa. e room?" I ask the receptionist.

"Uh, Nivi, small girl. Which room?" I ask the receptionist.

"Uh, room 211 sir." she replies.

"Thank you." I say. We run to the room, and see everyone outside.

"Emayindi?" Vijay asks.

"What happened?" Vijay asks.

I had told him what happened on the way, and he is scared.

"Adi, Nivi kallu thirigi padipoyindi..." Ishika says.

"Nivi fainted..." Ishika says.

"Enti!? Ela?" he shouts.

"What? How?" he shouts.

The doctor walks out of the room, talking to a nurse.

Vijay's POV

I run to the doctor when he walks out of the room.

"Doctor, maa Niviki em ayindi?" I ask.

"Doctor, what happened to our Nivi?" I ask.

"Nothing to worry about. She is perfectly alright. It sometimes happens. There's nothing to worry about." he says.

"Thank you. Thank you doctor." I run into the room to see Nivi.

She is on the hospital bed, and her face lights up.

"Baby!" she yells happily.

I give her a big hug.
