Ch.14 The True Beginning
3rd PoV
In a white void outside of the multiverse, where everything exists all at once, lives a black skeleton. They had cyan tear streaks staining their face. Their eye lights were cyan circle with a yellow ring around it red filling their eye socket on the left. While having a green circle in a red socket on the right. Their cloths seemed to have inverted colors. They had on a white leather jacket with a hood and black fur lining. They were wearing a black turtle-neck, white jeans, and white combat boots. They had on a blue scarf. Black glitches and error signs could be seen all over them. Said skeleton has lived trapped here for a time uncountable. The place had no way to tell day or night. So days, months, years, decade, or centuries could have passed. A place like this could drive a skeleton insane. That's not including the screams about their fate of being a destroyer and insults coming from disembodied voices. Eventually though, the skeleton learned to ignore or mess with them. According to their books only your own opinion and those close to you mattered. The voices weren't anyone important to them, so what they said didn't matter.
Right now, everything was filled with silence. They were just sitting there, cross legged, in a pile of pillows and blankets. They fiddled with a slightly damaged locket around their neck. The chain had been replaced with a braid of red string. They were humming, which was constantly changing pitch and sound as if it was from an old radio, to themselves. They decided they wanted to do something. They pulled out a worn guitar from their inventory. It seemed to have seen better days. The body was worn and the metal strings seemed to have been replaced with colored string. The skeleton only rarely took it out to preserve it. They held it lovingly. They prepared to play, practicing different cords. They started vocal exercises. They were horribly off key, sounding like their voice was squealing static. Though slowly, it started to clear up, until finally is was a smooth and clear. Then they sang.

Misery - Cover By Julia Sheer and Others (Original By Maroon 5)
Oh-yeah.
Oh-yeah.
So scared of breaking it.
That you won't let it bend.
And I wrote two hundred letters,
I will never send.
Sometimes these cuts,
are so much deeper then they seem.
You'd rather cover up.
I'd rather let them bleed.
So let me be.
And I'll set you free,
oh-yeah.
I am in misery.
There ain't nobody,
who can comfort me,
oh-yeah.
Why won't you answer me?
The silence is slowly,
killing me,
oh-yeah.
Boy you really got me bad.
You really got me bad.
Now I'm gonna get you back.
I'm gonna get you back.
Your salty skin and how,
it mixes in with mine.
The way it feels to be,
completely intertwined
Not that I didn't care.
It's that I didn't know.
It's not what I didn't feel.
It's what I didn't show.
So let me be,
and I'll set you free.
I am in misery.
There ain't nobody,
who can comfort me,
oh-yeah.
Why won't you answer me?
The silence is slowly killing me,
oh-yeah.
Boy you really got me bad.
You really got me bad.
Now I'm gonna get you back.
Now I'm gonna get you back,
yeah.
You say your faith is shaken.
And you may be mistaken.
You keep me wide awake,
and waiting for the sun.
I'm desperate and confused.
So far away from you,
and I'm getting near.
I don't care where I have to run.
Whispering could be heard, as the skeleton nods their head to the music.
Why do you do
What you do to me,
why won't you answer me.
Answer me,
yeah.
Why do you do,
what you do to me,
yeah.
Why won't you answer me.
Answer me,
yeah.
I am in misery.
There ain't nobody.
Who can comfort me.

"Error may be a useless piece of shit, but you gotta admit that she can sing and play." A voice said.
"Don't got to agree to shit!" Another says.
"Ya!" "Shut up!" "Fuck you!"
The other voices chorus. The now dubbed Error, puts the guitar back in her inventory. "Thanks, Jeff. Always appreciate your commentary. At least you give me honest compliments, unlike the others." Error says.
"Why does Jeff get a name?!?! All we get are numbers!" could be heard.
"Because I'm the favorite! So suck it!" Jeff says.
"If you all didn't just shout crap at me, maybe I would put in the effort to give you names. Right now, I don't give enough shits to remember ones for you. So, numbers it is." Error told them.
"Fuck you!" A voice says.
"No thanks. I'm saving myself for someone special, so you can fuck yourself number three." Error said back.
"Who would fuck an error like you? I bet they would get some type of virus." A voice says.
"Hmm. I don't think that's how that works, but I'm not entirely sure Two. You all know I can't really remember the before. I have bits of memories, my books, the bracelet, and locket to tell me. The memories I do have are fuzzy and spotty at best. The books have a lot of info, but the only one that mentions before is the journal. None of it says names though. But mentions a "Reaps" toward the end. I'm not sure if that was a name or not, and the stuff in it sounds crazy. The bracelet has a lot of different magic signatures like the books taught me. The locket has a different type too. The picture in the locket is slightly damaged, so I can't see who's in it very well, other than there are two people. And, I'm rambling. Not like any of you care anyways, so why do I bother?" Error says.
"Because if you did you would go even more insane than you already are! Not like that's much of a difference though." Another voice says.
"Too true, Four. Too true." Error says nodding sagely.
"Hey I've always been curious. Why don't we have a number one?" A voice asks.
"We do, Five." Error says.
"Who? I don't remember their being six of us." Two asks.
"Your looking at them. Got to look out for number one." Error tells them smirking. She remembered that quote from one of the the books called, "A Self-Care Guide To Being A Functioning Person"
"Shut the fuck up!" "Fuck you!"
"More like zero" "Number one my ass!"
"Ya right!"
The voices cry in a chorus of complaints. Error just starts laughing like the shit stirrer they are. Hey, they need to get their enjoyment somewhere. Staying in a white void is boring. Just then, a shift could be felt. Error stops laughing and looks around. What she see shocks her. A few yards in front of her, a circular opening could be seen. It seemed to open to a place full of unfamiliar colors and objects. Error gets up and looks closer. The voices were now whispering to eachother in the background. When Error was standing in front of it, she could feel a familiar magic coming off of it. It seemed to be practically identical to one of the beads on her bracelet. Error slowly lifts her hand towards it. Her hand went through! She slowly sticks her head in and look around. No one was around. She was finally leaving! Excited, she jumps through, leaving behind the empty void. The portal closes behind her.
