Enderlox × Dragon!Reader
Pic by me! Also, this was based on another dream that I had. My sub-conscious must like to give me ideas for this book while I'm asleep! Also for this one, you can do your actual name, or an OC name if you want.
Also, male dragons can be called a few different things, and so can female. Males could be Cock Dragon, He-Dragon, or Bull. Females can be called She-Dragon, Dragoness, Hen Dragon, or Vixen. So for this story, I'll be calling them Bulls and Vixens.
WATCH THE DOCUMENTARY! IT'S AMAZING AND PROVES THAT DRAGONS DID EXIST!
Not to mention that it explains a lot about what creates a dragon's flight and fire as well, so if you are confused later in the story, you obviously haven't watched the documentary...
~Y/N's P.O.V~
I was walking along the path of some new woods that I had discovered the day before. The sun was setting and all was quiet. That was until-
BOOM!
I felt the air shake and looked behind me to see a dragon net flying towards me! I couldn't move from fear and soon enough I was tangled in the deadly, frosted net.
My cold-blooded body started to grow limp from the cold, and I really couldn't move. My F/C (If your favorite color is black, then do your second favorite color.) scales shaded to black from the lack of heat.
As my vision began to fade as I began to lose consciousness, I saw a man walking towards me. Then just as the man reached me and picked me up, throwing me on his back by my feet, my vision went black completely.
I woke up on a dock, tied to one of the support poles. I was still too cold to move and I was forced to lay there. I heard footsteps approaching me from behind and I tried to glance bacwards.
I saw the same man, tall and fearsome looking. I started to shake slightly as he leaned over my tail, which was still very black, and took from a bucket placed behind him, a hammer.
My E/C eyes widened as he held it above his head and swung it down. The pain was unbearable as I heard a snap come from my tail.
I would've been crying if dragons could, but I was also too paralyzed to shout out.
My tail was broken, I wouldn't be able to fly again. Broken tails don't heal since they're part of the spine...
I was then taken out of the ice-covered dragon net and started to slowly warm up, but after being cold for as long as I was, I won't be moving for a while.
The man had put the large hammer away before picking my small form up and throwing me over his back again after cutting the rope, but still leaving some around my neck. He held onto my legs and hung me upside down as he dragged me over to a boat.
I was able to look into the woods behind the man and I could've sworn I'd seen a pair of glowing eyes in the shadows. But they were out of my sight as I was roughly thrown into the small sail boat, and soon tied to the main sail.
As the man started to move the boat away from the dock, an ear splitting dragon shrill filled the air. The man paused and smiled, a sick smile.
"Do my ears deceive me, or was that an Ender dragon? And a male one at that! Them are worth a lot more than you Crimson Steel-Bellies!" He finished his sentence by looking at me. [The Crimson Steel-Belly is a dragon of various scale colors, but their spearhead-like tail tip, steel belly plates, and their horns are always crimson tipped, giving them the name Crimson Steel-Belly (Picture Above: Enderlox and my Crimson Steel-Belly)]
He stopped the boat, and started to head back towards the shore. I had a feeling that the Ender dragon was what the eyes belonged to. As the boat hit the dock with a thud, another shrill sounded, but this one had more roar behind it. This dragon was getting really angry.
Before the man could even get out of the boat, a blur of black, white, and purple flew towards him, moving so swiftly that all I could see was the black and purple tail streaming behind the mass.
Within a matter of seconds, the dragon was on top of the man, and lashing at his flesh with vicious claws. Despite being in one place, under the flurry of wings and claws, I couldn't see the face of this dragon.
The attack seemed to last forever, but in reality it only lasted a few moments before the man crumpled with blood gushing from his neck, chest, and abdomen.
I laid there in shock and paralysis, looking at the blood-soaked figure of the Ender dragon. But, he wasn't a full dragon... he had the eyes, horns, claws, wings and tail of one, but he had the body of a human.
One of the bull's purple eyes was being covered by his brown hair, but was still slightly visible due to its faint, purple glow.
The male Ender picked me up in his arms, but soon realized that I was attached to the boat.
Apparently, I had been tied with some kind of loose knot, which tightened around my neck as the tendril was caught on the sail's lower support beam.
Seeing that I could no longer breathe, the boy took one of his claws and stuck it in between the rope and my flesh. Flicking his black claw, he easily had the rope cut and I could breathe again.
Once I began to breathe normally again, the bull stepped off of the now rocking boat. As his clawed foot stepped off of the vehicle, it was kicked away to drift with the ocean breeze in its sail.
He took me into the dark woods, his body very warm against my cold scales. Quicker than it was before, but still slowly, my color returned, except for the part of my tail past the snap.
I could still feel the pain, and as it accidentally hit rocks and branches, the pain got worse and worse.
I was now able to move, and I could certainly talk. "Wh-who are yo-ou?" I hissed slightly, but flinched as my tail hit another rock.
Without taking his eyes off of the apparent path, he replied with a slight purr, "Ty, I'm Ty." As he finished speaking, he stopped. I looked forward to see a cave, dark and eerie.
I have never lived in a cave, as I enjoyed more open areas, so I made my territory on an island, undiscovered by man. Clearly, this bull wasn't so lucky as I, seeing how that man knew of this place and its dragons.
"Is this where you live?" I said in a low rumble of confusion. Ty nodded and set me down on a patch of soft ferns.
The Ender grabbed a long stick, which was charred on the end, and blew fire into the blackened tip. The stick burned with a brilliant purple flame before shifting to orange as the Ender magic faded from it.
Ty looked at me and whispered, "I'll be right back," before heading inside the den.
A light was lit inside the cave, and soon enough, more came on. I heard clawsteps and before long, the face of the bull popped around the corner.
Ty walked around the opening over to me and bent down to pick me up again, but I snarled at him. "I can walk you know!" The Ender seemed surprised at my sudden hostility, and took a step back.
A purr rose in his throat as I shakily stood up. "You should be getting inside. With that broken tail, predators will find you an easy target, since you can't fly."
Anger flared up inside me. "Do you think I can't take care of myself? I only just met you and you're already asking me into your den!" My roar was probably loud enough to be heard by the Frijarnese dragons, and the boy seemed startled, letting out a small whimper. (Frijarn is a south eastern Ghorifa continent with equivalent size of about South America on Earth. Frijarnese dragons are much like Chinese dragons in the way of their long, slender body, and feathered manes and tails. However, Frijarnese dragons do have wings, unlike most Chinese dragons.)
I tried not to lash my tail, but ended up doing so anyway, causing the broken joint to bash against a charred tree. I let out a growl before turning around and dashing off into the undergrowth.
I reached a clearing, and tried to take off, and was able to for a second before crashing to the ground and into a clump of brambles. The thorns pulled at my scales and pricked my Li/F/C wing webs.
"H-hey!" Ty's voice grew louder as he flew through the trees at a record speed. When he skidded on the ground to stop, his eyes landed on me, still stuck in the bramble bush.
I growled in frustration, still trying to escape the prickers on the tendrils. Giving up, I turned my neck to look at Ty. "C-could you he-elp me?" My whine was shaky and my scales were hot with embarrassment.
Ty crossed his arms and twitched his tail before sighing. "You tried to fly, didn't you?" I growled a response saying yes as he approached me. With his sharp, black claws, the Ender was easily able to slash at the branches that trapped me.
Once I was free, I leaped out of the remains of the bush, and turned my E/C gaze onto Ty. The dragon had annoyance in his eyes and he looked kind of pissed to be honest.
He turned his back and began walking back to his cave. I followed behind, but with some distance between us.
"You do know that there are Sword-Backs on this island, right? I assume that this isn't your first time here." He paused for a second to look back at me, and I looked at him in confusion. (Sword-Back dragons are a branch if the armor dragon family. With the Steel-Belly dragons and others alike. Their greatest feature are their long, steel spines running down their head, neck, back, and tail, as well as an ax-like steel tail. These are very dangerous dragons.)
"Sword-Backs?" My trill was louder than I meant, and when I heard a slight rustle behind me, I took a glance backwards.
"So you haven't been here yet?" Ty continued walking and so did I, closer this time. I rumbled to say no.
I stepped on a dry twig and being slightly spooked, I sped up a bit. "What are Sword-Backs?"
Ty didn't change his gaze onto me, but he said, "I'll tell you once we get to the cave."
Neither of us said anything for the short time it took to get to the Ender dragon's den, and I was honestly relieved to see the bright, gaping hole.
Ty ran ahead to stand in the cave mouth. As I reached him, he purred, "Come in."
I felt small in the huge space, and I honestly couldn't understand why such a small dragon would need a space this big, but the bull broke into my thoughts.
"Can you show me your flame? I hear that all Steel-Belly dragons have silver flames, and I bet they're beautiful to look at." I nodded in reply, and breathed for the flame, but only a short spurt of fire came out.
My scales heating up again, I trilled, "I-I think my flight bladders might be empty. Do you have any food? And platinum perhaps?" The Ender looked at me, and nodded quickly.
"My platinum store is in the back, I can go get some food." He turned his back, and took flight.
Padding my way to where the bull pointed, I found a wall where the rock was shining with platinum metal. Scraping it off with my claws, I scooped up the dust and debris into my mouth, where my rock-grinding molars could break them up into usable ignition.
After I had taken what I needed from the store, I decided to take a look around.
There wasn't much to the main chamber, but there were some different chambers, some containing the bones of small rodents, and others with scorch and claw marks on the walls. I even passed a chamber that was blocked off with a large boulder, but I could hear whispers coming from the room.
In the main entrance chamber, there was a small cleft in the wall high up, and I could see something glowing faintly. I wanted to see what it was, but without flight, I couldn't do anything.
As I was still roaming the tunnel's and chambers, I heard clawsteps near the entrance, and I hurried to get back. I was met with Ty, who was struggling to carry a few large rabbits and even a small fox into the den.
I ran over to the Ender dragon and helped him with his load of dead animals. Dropping three rabbits on top of the other dragon's two rabbits and fox, he pulled out three of the rabbits from the pile.
He nodded at me, showing that I could take the rest, and set down his meal next to a circular scorched area of ground. I usually ate my meat having been charred with my flame, but being that I didn't have any, I had to settle for raw meat.
As I began to eat the fox, I noticed out of the corner of my eye, Ty flying up to the cleft, and grabbing whatever rested there. After flying back down, he walked over to another room for a few moments.
After a minute or two, a large black and purple dragon walked out of the room where Ty had entered. Backing up in surprise and fear, I tried to stay away from the Ender dragon.
My shrill sharp with panic, I was constantly stuttering. "Wh-who-o are-are y-you-u?" The dragon just looked at me with his deep purple eyes.
"You know." He purred. That's when I recognized the wing, the dragon had a long tear in one of his left wing webs, an injury that I had recognized on Ty.
I let out a sigh of relief as he walked over to his rabbits, which compared to his size now, were like large rats to me.
To be honest, Ty was cute as a human, but he's even cuter as a full dragon! I think he noticed me staring at him because he looked at me with almost a smirk on his jaws. "What is it? Do I have something on my face?" He purred teasingly.
I looked away quickly, heating up quickly from embarrassment. I finished eating my fox and sat up. "You wanted to see my fire, didn't you?"
As Ty gave me his full attention, I spit my dark silver flame into the middle of the room, watching it dance in the silver light it created. I heard the Ender bull start to purr with awe and amazement as he watched as well.
It seemed to last a while before it started to only come out as sparks and smoke. By then, I was feeling heavy again from my lack of hydrogen. Finishing up my rabbits, I turned my head to ask Ty, "Could-could I have some more platinum?"
He nodded and turned back to his own rabbits, which were nearly stripped of meat. I once again padded over to the platinum wall and scraped off more of the precious metal. Without platinum, I wouldn't be able to ignite my silver flames.
I ground up the mineral to near dust and let it coat my throat. Behind me, I could hear Ty approaching me slowly. In a soft purr, he said, "I don't think you ever told me your name."
I turned my head only to be put face to face with his large, purple eyes. I felt my scales heat up, but not from embarrassment this time.
"My n-name's Y-Y/N." My rumble quivered and I had to look away.
"Y/N," the Ender purred. "That's a really cute name!" His eyes filled with an emotion of admiration.
I stared into his orbs again and I was able to see my E/C eyes reflected in his purple eyes.
Purrs rose in our throats as Ty nuzzled me against the wall, his breath hot on my neck scales. He seemed to be pushing me up the wall, putting me in a two-legged stance.
My face was so hot, I thought it would melt. The Ender dragon's deep purple eyes shone in the orange light and I could feel the heat coming off of his scales as he pressed his neck into mine.
The rough platinum and granite stone shards began to dig into my back and wings, and as a particularly sharp one dug in, I let out a slight trill of pain. "The-the stones! P-please let m-me-e down-n"
At my cry of discomfort, Ty, embarrassed, dropped down onto his claws, and stepped aside so I could as well. We looked into each other's eyes again before Ty padded back over to his nest.
The black dragon bent his large head, and spat out his purple flames. He did this while turning in the circle, dousing the small area in flames. He curled up on the fire and closed his eyes.
But even though Ty's eyes were closed, he was still clearly awake. His tail tip was flicking towards him, beckoning me over.
I slowly padded over to the bull and yawned. I hadn't realized exactly how tired I was. Ty lifted his head slightly. "Why don't you sleep here tonight? It's cold everywhere else in this cave." His purr was filled with drowsiness as he yawned as response to mine.
I yawned again, and grateful for the warmth, curled up next to the large, black and purple Ender bull, who's purring lulled me to sleep. The last thing I heard before I fell was Ty purring in my ear, "Goodnight, Y/N..."
So, this is it! I might be making a more lengthy and informative story out of this! It wouldn't be an Enderlox × Reader however, as that would get overwhelming. But what do you think? Should I make this a story? Remember to comment your suggestions and it will get made! I will cyl8r! Bai! X3
