fúck you, sincerely. you creep me out.

stop stalking me to make sure i still follow you. don't expect follow backs from me as well. i treat the follow button responsibly because i hate to follow people irrelevant to me or those who make many meaningless announcements. overall, i don't care about my follow count or following-followers ratio.

what irks me most is when i'm looking for different types of help on wp and the payment is a permanent follow, then the person adds, "i will check constantly, so don’t you dare unfollow," like excuse me? what type of threat is that? ask for payment, but don’t be pushy or creepy. you can’t force people to keep following you no matter what you say 😂

i'm fine with following people who give me genuine, helpful advice on my writing journey, but i will also not hesitate to unfollow you if your content no more appeals to me, your service afterall wasn’t helpful (300 words reviews again 🙃), or you make too many irrelevant announcements every day. i will also unfollow if i lose respect for you, or you do sth unethical. i will not stop myself from doing that.

and quit starting fake shops, garnering followers then poof! disappeared. own up to your activities. fooling people is rude.

the obsession with numbers on this site is sickening. i would understand loving reads and votes on your story, but goddamn, stop garnering followers or getting obsessed with r4r or v4v. that's unhealthy and upsetting on the long term because you don't get true, dedicated readers!

and awards, oh god awards, you need to follow the hosts, the admins, the awards account, and the judges permanently, for a CHANCE to win and bear with all their cringy announcements. i'd argue most awards are hosted for these people to garner followers merely, but i will settle with "they want to give authors and themselves exposure". and 70% of the time, these awards are discontinued.

so let's get this straight:

+wp will not give you a prize if you hit a certain number of followers, so stop stalking your followers. this number is useless.

+accepting backup accounts follows instead is fruitless. c'mon now, we're better than that!

+it's okay if you have little followers. what you truly need to focus on is giving your story exposure, not having 1k followers with barely any reads.

+following up to this topic, i will be ranting about the cringy announcements i get next lol.
