Now let's get on with the review!

1. The Title:
The title is pretty simple but since there aren't a lot of Bennett witch stories so I suppose it's okay. Can't be categorized as cliche just yet and that is indeed a good thing.
2. The Cover:
To be honest, I loved the cover. It is simple, has a solid coffee brown background. The foreground is Samara and Elijah. The editing in the foreground is almost unnoticeable and the text color is most appropriate since it kinda matches Sam's dress.
In short words, the cover has the basic elements of a good/appealing cover. And a good cover kinda gauges the amount of readers that may approach.
3. Concept:
It was different and unique so it is absolutely a thumbs up from me. Not many people write on the Bennetts so this story in itself is a breakthrough.
People have a certain infatuation with writing about younger siblings of the canon characters. It was refreshing to see that this infatuation was not reflected in any aspect of the book. Samara is a Bennett, but more so she is Bonnie's older sister.
So that in itself is a great attempt at avoiding a cliche.
4. Review (includes Summary too):
I will try to summarize as much as I can without spoiling the story.
The story begins when Bonnie's Grams lifts off the spell from the tomb under pressure from Damon so that he could release Katherine. But Kath isn't there (you guys must be familiar with how it goes from then on) and in that case the Tomb Vampires escape instead. Since Grams is quite weak from the spell, she dies. Bonnie calls Samara, her older sister living in New York, to come as soon as she can to Mystic Falls.
[The way the story started is unique and not something which you would see in many fanfics. So it is quite appreciable that the author chose this one scene for the beginning and establishing the characters to give readers a mental outlook into the story].
Samara (face claim: Alia Bhatt) comes to Mystic Falls as soon as she can. Grams is buried and after the formalities have been observed, Sam takes care of Bonnie because she knows that is exactly what her Grams wanted after her death.
She is caught up in a web of conspiracies regarding Katherine Pierce and the moonstone and thus meets the Noble Mikaelson. She deals with him not to ever hurt her family and in return she would help him in finding Klaus.
Somewhere along the way, both of them fall for each other (trust me, we saw that coming. Any one would for a man with morals and mannerisms like Elijah). But then dear old Damon springs up to confess his feelings for Sam, who is his best friend.
Let's just say things get a bit tensed from there but that too isn't a bad aspect. The author keeps the readers involved with all that's happening in the season as well which is a pretty good quality and makes sure that the story doesn't deviate from track.
I have always hated reading fanfics which just focus on an OC and her love interest with no one giving a shit about what else is happening in the world around them.
And it was really refreshing to see that this fanfic is quite different from those I have read.
Anyhow the story proceeds with Stefan full on ripper mode and I must add that this whole concept was taken to a new level by the way the author has portrayed each characters' reactions.
[I am not telling any more since that would be a major spoiler, so if you really want to find out what happens next, go give it a try].
What I think:
I loved Sam's character. She is sassy, fun, family oriented and yet is brave when it comes to taking decisions for others and Bonnie's benefit. She is elf sacrificial for Bonnie but downright independent.
Elijah and Sam make a nice couple. Elijah's depiction of noble manner is quite appreciable and Sam's reactions to it quite understandable. Even though the relationship screams "there's gonna be trouble all around" still I really do want to see them end up happily ever after.
Though I do think Damon, as Sam's best friend, is being quite weird and that is unnecessary. In my opinion when Damon becomes friends with someone, he would do anything it takes to see that friend happy. Even if it would take being on talking terms/cordial to Elijah Mikaelson, he would do it, instead of creating a big scene on how Elijah is the bad guy and how she should be with him.
The best friendship bond throughout the book in my opinion is between Samara and Rebekah. Both of them are just so good together and I really loved it.
The ending is a bit uncalled for but that's what makes it a great read because you never can guess what will happen next. Not only does it give readers more insight to Samara's character but also gives an appropriate starting point for a sequel.
After reading it all, I must say that the writing style is pretty impressive. It's not very flamboyant but is interesting enough to keep a reader hooked for what will come up next.
There were absolutely no flaws and as the sequel's up, titled Resurrection, I have it in my library hoping to get some time to read it as well.

If you are looking for a good bedtime read and need an insight into the Bennetts and their family values, then this is the story for you. Moreover, it also furnishes a rather cute version of a relationship with the perfect guy at the wrong time.

Keep up the good work, Avani. Your book is pretty good and I hope that in the years to come as your experience grows on Wattpad so will this book's outlook expand and become better over time. Not that it isn't good as it is, but you know that all of us have a long way to go since perfection is what we aim for but perfection is not something which can be achieved. But the closer to perfection you are, the better it is.
And for your first book at Wattpad, this really is a marvel. I haven't found spelling mistakes or grammatical errors and trust me, that's a relief.
Hope you do even better with Resurrection and wish you lots of good luck and success!
