Well, actually it's been a real long time since I last published a chapter on Cliche plots and frankly I am quite excited to do this one.

Put your hands together for none other than the Big Bad Hybrid Fanfictions!

That is, the Klaus Mikaelson Love Interest Fanfics.

OC's Personality and Traits:

1. OC is either Tyler's sister, Damon and Stefan's sister, Damon's daughter, Caroline's twin sister, or just another doppelganger, or a female alpha of a wolf pack, or a sinister hybrid and the list could go on forever.

2. OC is seemingly perfect but still has something lacking in her life which makes her feel really sad and depressed and demented and so on and so on.

3. OC and Klaus usually meet in New Orleans at some fancy bar or night club or whatever.

4. Usually, the OC is an extremely badass chick who drives a motorbike through the town, smokes, drinks, parties and blah blah blah. 

[Not saying that it isn't good or shouldn't be done, the point is that it is just toooo overdone].

5. And if she isn't a badass hottie, she is a typical nerd with glasses, books on her arms, pencils stuck in her hair pulled up in a messy bun etc etc.

[I mean okay, the badass one stands a bit of a chance with Klaus but I don't think that this nerdy persona is going to fit in with the Original Hybrid].

6. The OC always has a passion for art. Or is a talented artist with great potential. Basically people think it is necessary for Klaus's soulmate to share his talent for art.

[Why can't Klaus x OC authors write about an OC who hates art? That would be what I call unique and more liable to end up in my library].

7. The OC's nature is never decided. Like never. She can be a werewolf, vampire, hunter, witch, supernatural, spirit, nymph, mermaid etc etc etc all rolled into one. Like please... Stop.

8. OC suffers every type of torture by all types of enemies and yet still she doesn't die. And if she does die, by mistake... She is RESURRECTED. 

[Like... Seriously? I mean, yeah, I get it that it's a Vampire story and stuff like immortality and such and such is pretty common but unless she is an Original or Silas, she can not just come back to life].

Effects on Other Characters:

1. A great many characters do not exist. Especially if they have been involved with Klaus in the past such as Caroline, Camille, Hayley etc.

2. Rebekah and OC are usually Best Friends Forever. All you can see Bekah doing is ether shopping with the OC, or lamenting over a potential boyfriend with the OC, or just being unnecessarily reliant on her.

3. Finn does not exist, or is just kept daggered throughout.

4. Kol might make an appearance or two with his bat slung over his shoulder either using weird pickup lines or being unnecessarily flirty.

5. Klaus does a complete 180 degree change in just being introduced to the lovely OC. He becomes sweet, charming, well mannered and leaves all his ambitions just for the heart of the OC.

[I mean... Seriously? Klaus would never do that. One delicate little girl is not going to make him change his ways in a heartbeat neither is he going to stop trying to break the Sun and Moon curse just because some girl asked him to stop].

6. Or in other words, Klaus is portrayed as a wild, love crazy romantic. 

7. Elijah is pretty much thought of as unnecessary throughout the whole fanfic.

8. Just like it always happens, the bad guys are always the Salvatores / Mystic Falls Gang etc.

9. The werewolves are portrayed as nothing but helpless little minions to the Big Bad Hybrid.

10. Klaus and OC's relationship goes on and off like a light switch and yet still the author keeps on writing them both as if no one could ever have a better love story than them both.

Actually it's a relief that cliche Klaus stories have not yet gained a lot of recognition on Wattpad and are not as many in number as the doppelganger or Salvatore Sister stories. But the stories which have struck millions of reads here on WP truly deserve it, since y'know not every story is bad. And sometimes, a few author write cliches in a great way as well making their story seem quite worthy of having as many votes and reads as possible.
