Chapter 19
Chapter 19
*A Special Treat since I reached 1k reads today!!!!!!*
Judgement is all around, no matter where a person may be or may go, judgment will always be constant. I guess that's the one thing in life that is always there. Whether it be judgment for wearing sock and sandals or judgement for dancing and singing in the yard like a drunk girl on drugs, judgement is always there.
And not matter how much a person wants to be a saint. To never judge another, every laugh, comment, and support for something against another person is judgement. I guess that's why we all retreat to the safety of friends, our rooms, and keeping embarrassing facts to ourselves. Others will always judge.
But there's no honor in staying hidden away, there's no safety in lies that get passed, and keeping to ourselves seems like an obsolete drag.
"Attention students of Xavier High, I have a special announcement to make." I call out to everyone as I stand on the cafeteria table, all eyes on me. It's honestly helping me with my confidence to have everyone staring.
I smile, wave, and keep my fake smile on my face as I slowly turn my body toward the direction I face everyday at lunch. The one table I can always count on getting a heated gaze from. And just like alway I get the natural glare of James, I don't think he'll ever forgive me for ditching them. And and confused but smiley face from Tony.
"As we all know, our school is full of secrets, lies, and most of all judgment." I announce making a few people look away or look down at their food.
"Which is normal, we're in high school, if you don't lie, keep secrets, and judge others then you're not normal." A group of boys laugh and I just glare at them causing them to stop, "However, our high school is different. We judge each other too much, have way too many secrets, and you would think we are trying to get out of driving your 90 year old grandma to her dentist."
The cafeteria remains silent, everyone with a wary face as an evil smirk creeps onto my lips. "So as I said before I have a special announcement, I will be revealing secrets that seem appropriate to share as of recent events. So without further ado I will get started."
I look around the room, trying to decide who to pick first until I see Amelia Jones, a girl that used to be one of my "best friends" in middle school, crouching low to the ground trying to leave through the side door to the cafeteria. First target found.
"Amelia Jones, dear girl, it's not quite ladylike to be bending over that low to the ground." I exclaim in mock excitement, effectively startling her, making her jump up, her eyes wide.
"As you probably remember- due to your try to sneak out- we used to be best friends in middle school." Slowly she nods her head as all eyes turn to her expectingly. "So it would be obvious that we know some things about each other, right?" Again she nods her head, I smirk, and continue, "and I do remember you telling me the very first day of high school that you were only friends with me because of my family's money, and you started the trend of calling me Marilyn."
"Yeah." She agrees shakily, and I smile.
"You know it's annoying having people call you by your middle name. But I got used to it. And to be honest you weren't the first or last to use me for my family money. What can I say, my dad's a rich nerd and my mom's a woman with power, and a trust fund." I shrug.
I keep eye contact with her, and watch as she shakes in her 6 inch heels. I honestly am glad she dumped me as a friend, she's one of the girls that sleeps around a lot, and wears really sketchy clothes, but still. Punishment must be served.
"Don't worry, your secret won't be that bad." I try to calm her, and she smiles greatfully at me.
"Amelia Jones, the secret of yours I am revealing is this, you claim to everyone you lost your virginity the summer before freshman year to my brother before he left for college, but in reality it was the very end of freshman year to Kai Hollands." A few people gasp, but not most. Mostly just her friends, and Kai's face is a bright red when I turn to face him.
"And now onto Kai Hollands. You were one of four of the four guys I've dated in high school. You were on of my middle school best friends too- I still dated you sophomore year because you were pretty and I was preppy." I get a few hoots from his friends which I just raise an eye brow at and they instantly silence themselves.
"You were my rebound, you knew that, and so did I. However that did not give you permission to cheat on me. So Mr. Kai Hollands your secret that will be revealed is that you get erections looking at old Mrs. Ken, the oldest teacher here at Xavier High, standing at the wrinkly age of 72." His face turns a bright red from embarrassment, his friends instantly hoot and holler, making fun of him. I allow this for a few minutes until I get annoyed.
"Okay, okay, on to the next person." I look around the cafeteria, searching for a certain face, and when I find her, trying to hide behind her group of friends, I smile. "Katy, now is not the time to play cat and mouse. I am standing on top of a table. I can see you." I state bluntly, crossing my arms at her kindergarten hiding tactics. She could of at least made it at least a little more difficult.
When her friends move of away, I get a clear view of the girl that tried to destroy me. "You know Kathy, I've never really liked you. You've always been so mean." I tell her, watching her squirm, under my gaze.
"But anyway, as the entire school probably knows, junior year, you tried to take over the soccer team, be Cleo's best friend, and just over all ruin my life. We had an all out war. But we all see who won. And as winner and queen, I choose to do this for making junior year so god damn aweful." I say nonchalantly.
"Kathy Poe, your secret that is being revealed is one I've been saving for a very long time, one that I was keeping just in case you decided to strike again, but I see now that you wouldn't dare try and fight me when I'm already fighting Cleo. So I think now is the time just because I feel like it.
"You Ms. Poe, were really chubby as a child, that instead of loosing weight would making your friends fat with you by constantly buying them treats. But then at the age of 15, your parents who by my surprise love you, got you liposuction. Then you forced your parents to move, and became your skanky self." A lot of people gasped, and I just bit back my laughter as she ran out of the cafeteria, tears brimming her eyes.
"Quinn, you know this is why no one likes you." A voice I know all too well calls, making me roll my eyes, as I turn around towards her direction.
Once my eyes land on Cleo is is already standing, handing planted firmly on the table, surrounded by her softball girls and boys that want to sleep with her.
"Oh Cleo Jacklyn Price, I was going to save you for last, but o guess now is great too." I can tell the cheer team is all already glaring at her from across the room, and I smile at that.
"Really? With what? More relationships you want to ruin by telling girls I've slept with their boyfriends? Maybe call my mom and tell her the news?" She asks sarcastically.
"Actually no, but I am going to make sure you know your place." I tell her simply. "As we all know, Cleo is a party girl. Loves to drink, do drugs, and have sex with what we all think are random guys."
A lot of people look confused as I look around the cafeteria, but I power through it, "What if I told you ever boy Cleo has ever slept with, she had chosen to sleep with him before the party, regardless of his relationship status, and later sobriety." A few give her winks, and I just feel disgusted. "She keeps an online journal that he publishes on Tumblr, that gives the complete summery of the goods and the ads of sleeping with each guy, including occasionally a nice video. Oh and your names are all attached along with yearbook pictures. So if your further wife likes Tumblr, she might find it guys." Instantly everyone is glaring at Cleo and she sits herself down, hiding behind a curtain of her bleached blonde hair.
I pretend to look at my watch and decide to just skip to the very last two people. "As we all know our school has three residential bad boys. I'm sorry Jarret, your just not bad enough to fit in with them." Jarret as I'm slowly turning still on top of the table, I see Jarret holding up the middle finger at me, but I choose to be nice and ignore him.
Once my eyes land on the two that decide to show up at school I smile wickedly, and eyeing them carefully. Tony looks hurt, but no one but those close to him would notice, his jaw is locked, his bottom lip slightly pulled into his mouth as if gnawing at it is calming him. And James is just glaring at me, daring me to cross him, but he knows I will.
"You all know that the 'leader'" using air quotations around the ignorant word, "has been missing these past few weeks. You all know also- even if you won't admit it my face- that he slept with Cleo, the girl I've been best friends with for the last few years." The cafeteria stays silent, no one knowing what to say, so I continue. "Anyway, we all also know that Will and I have a history, a very messy history, but one that requires not sleeping with each other's best friends." I say.
"I know most of you were wondering where I went after Donovan's party, after all I disappeared for quite a while." A few people nodded, "Well I was at my brothers apartment in the city. So fun- not really. I was still miserable. But I came back, as you can tell," I say pointing to myself and the table.
"Anyway, after some digging, talking, and bribing, I finally found our great bad boy, and he'll tell you all where he's been when he gets back from fixing his life, as if that could ever really help." I snort.
I smirk and make eye contact wtb James and Tony, "And since Will isn't here, I'll go after his friends, the ones that still think I did all of this to fit in." I roll my eyes at them.
"James Russe, Tony Dust, both were my friends at the beginning of freshman year. You accepted me for me, my dark humor, pranks, and love for romantic comedies and all. But after Cleo came and changed me, you never once asked me why. You judged me. You James started hating me. Tony you didn't talk to me anymore. I've overhear both of you before, talking with Will, criticizing me. And for that I will unapologetically tell one secret."
Tony is giving me pleading eyes, and James is standing, daring me to continue. But I do. I break the little stands of friendship we had left.
"Tony Dust and James Russe are both bisexual males that have an open relationship with each other. They sleep together behind closed doors, but in public they sleep with girls."
I make eye contact and see Tony smiling sadly at me, gripping James' arms behind his back, holding him back from leaping over the tables and attacking me.
