You can meet other shadowhunters

Someone will recognise you and once they acnolidge them its like them giving you permission to rant about shadowhunters (trust me, I've done it before)

Mundies think your insane and stay away from you

You can feel like a badass

You just look plain awesome

And of course if a demon attacks your going to live the longest

Disadvantages of wearing runes:

Unless you care about people you don't knows opinions there are none
