*Usha Pov*

"Good morning, Sir." I wished him smiling when he reached his cabin while I finished arranging today's reports he needs to verify along with his schedule.

"Shall I get you coffee, Sir?" I asked, looking at his irritated expression and he finally glanced at me after sitting down.

"I need to speak with you, Usha." He replied, gesturing the chair and I sat down hoping it is not a huge problem.

"Do you remember I praised you two days back for choosing a masquerade party and that too with the idea of adding a veil to the mask so that it covers the whole face?" he suddenly asked and I still remember how happy he felt and even specially asked me to order two blue ones exclusively so that he can immediately find his wife.

"I even ordered the blue ones, Sir. Except Neetha and you, no one will wear that color." I assured him smiling.

He sighed, rubbing his forehead before saying, "I know you are his wife, but we are still competitive companies. The ideas can't be shared like this."

"I already thought about both of you and decided to have this party on the 15th instead of 14th like them, but now we need to do it on the same day." He added staring at me.

"What exactly happened, Sir?" I asked, realizing there is definitely a huge problem.

"Even Abhay's company is doing a masquerade party and that too with the masks of the design you presented. Now, it will be like we copied them. So, it is better to be on the same day." He replied frowning.

What? But how? I thought, staring at him in shock because I didn't tell Abhay about this idea or anything because we kind of have a few shareholders together and it will be not good to have a same theme.

Masquerade is not something special but this mask design was definitely at least for both companies and now they are doing the same.

"I didn't tell him anything about this, Sir." I assured him, but he just shook his head.

"It doesn't matter and as per your report, we are done with everything except for invitations. Just change the date and send them soon. As far as I have heard, they didn't start the invitations. I need this to be done before them. Can you handle it?" he asked in a serious tone and this is the first time I have seen him this angry.

Even when I told him that he is my crush, he just laughed it off. He was kind of angry at his wife regarding the anonymous letters, but that was a different thing.

I gave him a nod before leaving the cabin and immediately started working on the invitations with the shop we approached to change the design slightly to make sure our theme shows completely and immediately started sending them.

I kept Abhay's company invitation to the last set and spend time with the team that is looking after the decorations on the top floor where we decided to have the party as the people will be not many but if needed we can extend it to the terrace.

"We don't have much time and I need everyone to finish it fast." I mumbled, not giving a hard time for them knowing well it is my mistake and not their fault to hurry like this.

I already messaged Abhay to bring Shubh from my place after he leave saying I will be late and he replied with okay while adding a smiley where I wish I can show him how angry I am right now.

Somehow I ended up staying until midnight to finish the basic decorations and as the party is after two days, we can finish everything soon.

I reached home only to find him sitting in front of the TV watching some match. He hadn't even realized I returns and so I just walked into Shubh's room.

I smiled looking at his sleeping face while hoping for the next two days he will be fine with me working over the time like this. Every day I tried to finish the work as soon as possible and never have any work left out, hoping to spend more time with him and not lose much time.

To top of that after taking that long leave I need to push myself up to not be much behind from everyone and to not ignore him at the same time.

I kissed his forehead and turned to see Abhay leaning on the door with a smile while my smile slipped.

"What happened?" he asked, frowning while I walked out of the room completely ignoring him.

"Was there too much work? I already heated your dinner." He replied following me.

"How did you get the idea of using a mask with veil for your company's party?" I asked, sitting on the bed realizing I can't show my anger like this and need to communicate.

"How do you know? It was my idea. Do you remember that day you were drawing on the book while playing with Shubh? I saw that and realized it will be a good idea for the party." He replied smiling.

"You will be coming to my company's party, right? We both have to spend the day together. We can be together even in the morning as I am not doing anything for preparations. Isn't it good to be a CEO?" He added getting closer.

"Abhay! My company's party is also on 14th and I was not just drawing, but that was my idea for my company." I explained before he can extend his hands to hold my face.

"What?" he asked stilling.

"It's good to be a CEO but I am not. So, I will be busy from the morning. You need to take care of Shubh from morning and leave him at Mom's place before going to your company's party." Saying that I stood up before leaving towards the washroom to freshen up feeling tired after the work I had to do today.

After that I just fell on the bed to sleep while he is sitting down on his side with a deep thought. I closed my eyes, thinking I am no longer angry at him, but just upset that we won't be spending time together on that day.

"Why don't you take a leave for that day? We decided to spend time together, right?" I frowned, hearing those words and opened my eyes.

"Abhay! That was my idea and our company was already preparing and then yours doing the same thing. Just think what the people are thinking and if I actually let go of my duties to take a leave, it is a wrong thing." I tried to explain.

"Come on! Raj knows you and it is not a big deal. We are a husband and wife and these things can happen." He waved off and suddenly I am feeling angry right now.

"Do you want me to quit my job or what? Do you even know how I felt the whole day? This party is not for Valentine's day, but it is kind of to show the performance of the company from our side too. And I messed it up. We still don't know what it will be when articles will be published about the similarities." I pointed out.

"Then what about us?" he asked, frowning with an irritated expression.

"You enjoy partying while I will enjoy preparing it." I replied, giving him a stiff smile before turning around to sleep and drifted off into sleep.

I hugged him back when he hugged me in his sleep, but our war definitely started. We didn't express any words and I was too busy to think about anything.

That day I didn't glance at the Raj's face at all and we finally managed to finish all the important details for the next two days.

The moment I returned home, I took care of Shubh while Abhay brought him from Mom's place for the next two days and finally the day arrived.

I woke up early to finish the last arrangements along with the balloons as the guests will be arriving from afternoon itself to have a meeting with Raj.

So, I wrote a note explaining about the situation before taking Shubh with me so that he will not be late for work.

"Are you missing Mom? Tomorrow onwards I don't have work like this. We will spend more time, okay?" I asked playing with him when we reached my Mom's place while he smiled at me.

"Mama!" he mumbled in his baby voice making me smile.

I am dying for him to finally speak other words, but mama and papa are also fine for now. I kissed his cheek before passing him to Mom.

Before the meeting Raj asked me to meet him and I immediately followed him, hoping it is not a huge problem this time.

"I am sorry, Usha. I was put off line that day and somehow dumped my personal frustrations like that." He apologized again and again.

"What actually happened?" I asked him, frowning and it turns out his wife had to go to the trip with her colleagues and can't come to the party.

"She is not coming?" I asked and he shook his head in negative.

"Yes! If it was 15th then we would have somehow managed but now she definitely can't." he replied sighing.

"It is your first Valentine after marriage, right?" I asked and he flinched when I pushed the main button.

"Anyway, even she had stayed here then I would still be busy like this. Her work is also important." He mumbled before walking away while I stared at his back realizing someone else showed that expression for the past two days.

I stared at the box lying on my table when I entered my cabin during a break and found it to be my breakfast. I even got lunch delivered and that too my favorite with a rose.

After that I took some time to make a few personal calls before getting into work and the party finally started.

I didn't stop before greeting all the guests in the party before making sure everything is proper and walked out getting a call.

"Where are you going?" she asked after I helped her to get ready.

"You go to your man while I will go to mine." I replied, winking at her and walked out holding the mask in my hand.

It is a good thing that I have their invitation in my hand and I am kind of representing Raj's company I guess even though it was not the plan.

*Abhay Pov*

"You both are fighting?" Shruthi asked the moment she walked into my cabin.

"Kind of!" I replied before telling her about how I stole her idea without my intention.

"She must be going through so much. Some people will even talk if the party idea can get exchanged, then what about company's." she mumbled and I know what she is talking about.

I didn't get it immediately, but after two days I finally get it. Even after all this she didn't stopped to express her love.

With all that work she still managed to make sure I had breakfast and even dinner in the evening. Today morning she even made my favorite breakfast along with wishing me a happy valentine's day.

"We just finished the touches and everything is ready." Shruthi commented and I gave her a nod before making a few calls to do at least something special for her.

When the party started, I finally realized I don't want to spend my time like this without her and I want to meet her right now.

"Take care of everything, okay. Don't give me a call even if there is an emergency." Saying that I walked out of my own party switching off my phone and rushed towards the Raj's company with the invitation they sent yesterday.

It is better if I give her a surprise rather than call her. I smiled thinking about her expression when she finds out I am here.

For the next half an hour I searched the whole hall and tried to guess where is she by thinking about all her party wears but couldn't find her at all.

I frowned and decided to give her a call, but stopped realizing someone staring at me curiously. I saw that his mask is blue and no one else has it and there is someone else beside him who must be his wife.

I already know the one man who is obsessed with blue color and it is not that hard to guess. But why is he looking at me like that?

Is there any difference with my mask? I thought, staring at his mask keenly and realized they actually gave the company logo on the mask.

Damn! We should have done that too... wait! If we had done that then Usha would have killed me for sure.

"Abhay? What are you doing here?" he asked, reaching me and I sighed removing my mask.

"I want to meet Usha. Where is she?" I asked and immediately Neetha replied.

"She must be busy with some work. Go and search for her." She replied in an assured tone.

"She really didn't leave the party? Why is her phone switched off?" he asked, frowning at her.

"Why would I lie? Have you ever seen me lying? And why are you so concerned? She made all the arrangements and even helped me when I asked her to book tickets for me somehow as I couldn't find any vacant ones. How can you be mad at her? Let her enjoy the party." She scolded before sending him away to bring drinks for her.

"Usha went to your company." She stated the moment he left.

"I kind of lied to him that she didn't leave thinking he will get mad at her. So, leave right now." she added and I gave her a nod before taking a step to leave but he found me.

"Where are you going without meeting Usha? She must be here only if you came here. I need to talk to her about a client who has a problem with the recent project. Let's wait for her." He pulled me back and I couldn't open my mouth thinking it will cause trouble for her and she already went through so much.

If Usha went there, then Shruthi must have already told her and she must be returning. I sighed, glancing at the door in between hoping she returns.

Another half an hour passed and I suddenly thought what if she didn't meet Shruthi at all and is still searching for me. I glanced at his wife for help and she immediately nodded before pulling him towards the dance floor.

In the next moment I left the party and rushed towards mine. I found Shruthi immediately as I had already seen her dress and mask.

"What are you doing here?" she asked frowning.

"Did you meet Usha?" I asked her back.

"Usha? No! Why would she be here?" she asked, looking around along with me and I again searched for her.

"Why don't you call her?" I switched on my mobile and I didn't do it before because Raj said her phone is switched off.

However, I found four missed calls from her and immediately called her, but this time she didn't pick up. I shook my head before opening the message to type, but she already sent one ten minutes back.

'I took Shubh and went home.'

Seeing that I again left the party to reach home only to find her sleeping with Shubh beside her. I sighed freshening up first before slipping into the covers before placing my hand on her shoulder.

"Do you know that I went to your company's party? But I couldn't find you and your phone was switched off. I didn't have Shruthi's number too." She complained opening her eyes.

"Why don't you have her number? Still feeling jealous?" I asked smiling.

"No! I forgot I guess." She replied, sighing, and I told her about my experience.

"God! When will we both learn things? We even have a baby now." she mumbled caressing Shubh's cheek.

"Why did you leave your company's party?" I asked caressing her cheek.

"Because I love and wanted to spend some time with you." She replied smiling.

"Even I left for the same reason." I mumbled smiling and she chuckled before glancing at the clock.

"The day already passed. What to do?" she asked, staring at me.

"We will celebrate it tomorrow." I replied, but she shook her head.

"Raj is going to scold me tomorrow and I will not be in a good mood." She pointed out.

"Then we will just spend it with me consoling you. What about day after?" I asked, but immediately remembered the meeting to which she said she will prepare lunch for me without forgetting so that I can eat food on time.

That's how each day we definitely have something to do, but our partner is ready to make it special even with small gestures. I smiled drifting off into sleep thinking this time we celebrate in some different way unlike last time.

Maybe we will have something else to look forward for during the next Valentine's day. I guess it would be fine no matter what it is.
