He looked right into my eyes!

Now I had problem, a real problem. Lisa still sat on Michael's lap and her back was turned towards me, so she didn't notice me. But Michael did.

He motioned with his eyes that I should leave, so I quickly but silently made my way out of the house. I could hear Lisa getting furious as Michael told her he had to leave.

I waited anxiously in front of the house for him, my heart was beating so fast. I didn't know how he would react, what he would say to me and what I should answer. I bit my lip and sighted, this was a terrible situation to be in!

Some minutes went by until I heard Michael walking down the hallway and stepping out of the house. I nervously turned around and looked at him. He seemed calm, he wore black pants and a white V-neck shirt.

"Hi" I said silently and stared to the ground. "I'm ... sorry, I swear I won't tell anyone"

"Hey, don't feel bad about it, I should've met you outside at 2, I wasn't there, so I understand you came looking for me. Uh....I don't think should talk to you about this though." He sighted deeply and I could tell he was sad, hurt.

I looked up into his eyes, but he was staring to the ground, his hands in the pockets of his pants.

"Are you sure you're ok?" I asked and touched his back. He winces and I removed my hand. "Sorry" I said and bit my lip.

"I'm alright, let's just go do something fun. Do you want me to show you and your brother the zoo?" He said and his face lit up. I smiled and nodded my head. We walked over to our guesthouse and took Tay with us. Michael showed us a couple of cages where he had elephants and lamas, we even got to feed a little deer!

"It's 6 already, mom wants me back at the house" Taylor suddenly said. Michael looked over to me, making a sad face. "Do you also have to go? You can come with me for a while if you want Susan" He looked at me, I could tell he really wanted me with him.

"Of course" I smiled. "I'd love that"

Michael and I went to the lake, walking along the water and then laid on the grass, staring at the sky.

"Watch, this cloud looks like a big bear" Michael pointed to the sky.

"No it doesn't" I laughed " That a bunny, a cute little bunny. Don't you see the large ears?"

Michael stared at me, leaning on his elbows. He raised his eyebrows. "You're right" And we both burst out in laughter.

"Susan, can I tell you something?" He sat up and looked at me, I could see he was chewing his bottom lip.

"Sure you can" I smiled.

"But uh...you have to promise you won't tell Lisa. Well, of course you wouldn't. Just, this can never reach her, she'd turn crazy. Crazier."

"I understand. I worry about you Michael" I said and touched his arm. He looked down at my hand and then up at me again. "Can we...not talk about that though?" He said.

"Sure, I'm sorry. What did you want to tell me?"

"You know, since you came around here...for the first time I felt like someone could be a true friend to me. You seem like you understand me...in some way. Others just say I'm childish and immature, they don't understand me. But you are...different. "

He was right. I did understand him, I just did.

"That makes me so happy. I think you are a great person Michael, just the way you are. And I want to say sorry again for seeing, you know the thing in your room" I said.

" Actually, I'm thankful you were there. If it weren't for you standing there I probably would've let her do her thing. "

"Don't ever let someone do something to you you're not comfortable with Michael. Whatever they say, you listen to yourself ok?"

"Thank you Susan, I can try"

I looked at him and raised my eyebrow. "You have to Michael" He nodded and I scooted closer to him, hugging him from the side. "Can I?"

"Yes" He said and nuzzled his head on my shoulder.
