39 I do
"Alright, I'm going to say goodbye to you now" Michael smiled widely and wrapped his arms around me, holding me so tight. It was the morning of our wedding. I couldn't believe this was happening; I was about to marry somebody I loved so incredibly much.
"Last time I can call you my fiancé" He pulled back, holding me by my shoulders and was staring at me with loving eyes.
"I'm not going to be Susan Carter anymore" I giggled and put my hands on his, holding them.
"Are you really sure about this whole thing?" Michael said and made a funny face.
"Oh sush Michael" I laughed. "Of course I am. I want to marry you like crazy" I nearly jumped on him, but he pulled me up in his arms and I wrapped my legs around his waist.
"It's just too good to be true" He said and rocked me in his arms. "You're gonna be all mine"
"I always was baby" I whispered and lay my head down on his shoulder. "I'm gonna leave you here now, you know you can't see the dress until I walk down the isle" I smiled and he put me back on the ground again. I walked a step backwards and slowly let go of his hand.
"Bye fiancé" I giggled and he bit his lip, those loving eyes gleaming with joy.
"Bye" He whispered and had a feeling he was getting a little teary-eyed.
"Are you crying?" I looked at him and stroked his cheek.
"Nah" He shook his head. "And if I were...out of happiness" He smiled and I could see a glimmer of the water in his eyes. It made me feel all warm inside to see him this happy, and on top of that it was because of me. Because he genuinely loved and wanted to be with me.
"I love you baby" I pulled his head to me and kissed him.
"I love you more" He smiled. "Now go and surprise me with your dress" He laughed. "The guests should start arriving in half an hour."

"You look absolutely stunning Susan, Michael will be drooling!" Karen Faye, Michael's makeup assistant told me as she was curling my hair.
"Oh come on" I laughed.
"No, I'm serious. I know what that man like and this hair right here, he will love it."
"Thank you Karen" I chuckled. She had done my makeup and hair, which I was so thankful for. My blonde, long hair fell down my back in soft waves, my makeup was a light smoky eye and rosy lipstick. And my dress was like a Disney princess's: It was super big and flared out widely. The top was tight and had a heard shaped neckline that was adorned with shiny sequins. I felt like a princess.
"Do you know who's going to be there?" I asked Karen while putting on my white high heels.
"Well, I've heard he invited his close friends like Elizabeth Taylor, Eddie Murphy and Macaulay Culkin. His family" She winked. It was going to be the first time that I would meet his family. It wasn't usual for other couples that they would only meet the parents of their significant other at the wedding, but I understood that Michael had not been in a lot of contact with his family and wanted to keep me a secret until now.
"It's all a little much" I laughed nervously.
"Oh don't worry about it, it's your big day. Michael is nervous too, I tell you. Last night he kept bugging me about his hair and how he wanted me to style it. At least you two figured out his outfit, I would've not been able to handle that drama as well." She laughed. "He will look gorgeous too, I promise you that. Will be a good night" She winked at me and I shook my head in a smile.
"Do you have your speech ready?" She asked and I nodded my head yes. I had a piece of paper folded up together where I had written some words that I wanted to tell Michael and promise him before we would tie the knot.
"Good, then I'll work on your...fiancé and you can come out when the music starts playing. Will your dad walk you down the isle?" She asked.
I gulped. "No, my dad...passed away 10 years ago. I'll walk on my own, it's ok."
"I'm so sorry honey" Karen said and touched my back. "You're a strong girl." She smiled and I nodded my head. When she had left the room I looked at myself in the mirror. I was getting a little nervous, but mostly I was incredibly excited. I couldn't wait to put a ring on Michael's finger and make him mine, maybe then it would finally feel real.
I took a deep breath and looked stared at my reflection. "Susan Jackson" I said slowly and grinned. "Susan...Jackson" I whispered and shook my head in disbelief. And then I heard the music begin to play. My heart jumped and I turned around, looking out the glass doors onto the green grass. It was around 6 at night and the sun was about to go down, everything was in a golden glow. There were twinkle lights in the trees and candles flickering in the light breeze.
I opened the door and walked a couple of steps until I saw the rows of white seats that were placed on the grass leading up to a patio. And on there I saw Michael. He was holding his own hands, looking into the crowd.
"Here we go" I whispered to myself and slowly walked to the white carpet that was laid out in the grass. Everybody turned their heads to me and I spotted my mother in the front row of the two rows of people. She held a tissue and already dabbed away some tears. And then I saw Michael in the front. His black, glittery suit and those perfect, now a little longer curls. And his smile. It was out of this world.
I tried to walk slow and suppress my urge to run towards him, but I managed walking in the beat of the waltz music. I walked up the steps to the patio and Michael immediately held out his hand for support. I took it gladly and then stood beside him, just smiling widely at him.
"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here tonight to join this man and this woman in holy matrimony." The notary stated and I looked up at Michael, who was a little nervous as I could tell. The people started clapping and I spotted Michael's mother, who seemed so proud of her son. All of Michael's siblings were there and I could tell they were checking me out, making their opinions about me. As far as I could tell, they seemed pleased. My younger brother Taylor sat in his wheelchair and pointed with his thumb over at Michael, mouthing: "It's Michael Jackson!" towards me and I lightly shook my head in a smile at him.
"If you would like to exchange a few words, here is your time" The notary said. I looked up at Michael and he pulled out a paper from his pocket. He cleared his throat and looked at me, then to the crowd.
"Susan. You are magical to me, and for those who know me personally, you all know how much I've always loved magic." He stopped and glared at me. "I search it in everything, try to find magic in the simplest things like a flower in the morning sun or a chirping bird or a child's laughter. I've searched all my life. But you, found me. " He stopped and swallowed. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes for a second. This was just incredible.
"In a time where I needed someone, you suddenly appeared. My world was shaken but you fixed it. And not only that. You made my world so much better. Every day I wake up feeling grateful and honored to be your...husband, in some minutes." He smiled at me. "Nothing could've prepared me for a love like yours. It's unconditional, exciting and most importantly, it's mutual. Not only do I love you like I've never experienced the feeling of love before, but YOU make me feel safe, calm and truly loved. Every time I look in your eyes I just..."He got choked up and put his hand in front of his lips.
"Sorry" He said and looked up again. "Every time I look in your eyes, I fall in love all over again. I want to keep falling in love with you, forever." He finished and let out a sigh, smiling at me with teary eyes.
I looked up to keep my tears from running out of my eyes, and luckily the notary handed me a tissue. I took a deep breath and pulled out my own piece of paper.
"That was beautiful" I whispered and looked at him. "Thank you so much Michael."
I bit my lip and looked down at my paper.
"This man right here has to be the strongest human being I've ever met. Nobody could imagine what he has gone through. But after all this time, he has stayed the most pure soul with the biggest heart. There's nothing that anybody could ever teach this man about love. He is the embodiment of love." I looked at him, as if to make sure that he was listening, even though I knew he was, I could tell by his huge grin.
"Living in his world may sometimes be difficult. But I could not imagine leaving him alone for just another second. I sometimes don't know if I need him more than he needs me. This man has my heart in his hands, and I could not find a better place for it to be this safe. Michael, I am honored to become your wife. I feel blessed to be with you. I know you are mine, you always were. I knew it from when we first met. I promise to be your guardian angel, just like you are mine. I love you" I put down my paper and looked into Michael's smiling eyes. People started clapping and I looked into the crows. Everybody was smiling.
"Beautiful. We will get to the vows now, are you ready?" The notary asked and we both nodded.
"Michael, do you take this woman to e your wife, to live together in holy matrimony, to love her, to honor her, to comfort her, and to keep her in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, for as long as you shall live?" The notary asked.
"Yes please" Michael smiled and intertwined his fingers nervously looking at me. "I mean, I do" He chuckled.
"Susan, do you take this man to be your husband, to live together in holy matrimony, to love him, to honor him to comfort him, and to keep him in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, for as long as you both shall live?"
"I do" I smiled and nodded my head.
"Repeat after me"
Michael slowly repeated the words. "I, Michael Joe Jackson, take you, Susan Carter, to be my wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part." He looked at me and his smile got wider. My heartbeat increased as it was my turn. I looked him directly in the eyes as I spoke.
"I, Susan Carter, take you, Michael Joe Jackson, to be my husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part."
Michael sighed and closed his eyes for just a split second, I could tell he was just over the moon happy. The notary handed him a red, satin pillow with our rings on it and asked him to put the ring on my finger. I realized I was shaking, but Michael held my hand gently in his, while holding the ring in his other. He looked at me and repeated after the notary.
"I give you this ring as a token and pledge of our constant faith and abiding love." He smiled and slid the ring on my finger. "You're the most beautiful woman on earth" He added on his own. I looked down at my hand and could feel a tear rolling down my cheek.
I took Michael's ring from the pillow and held his big hand in mine.
"I give you this ring as a token and pledge of our constant faith and abiding love. " I said and slid the ring on his finger. My heart skipped a beat and I looked up at him. "Wow" I mouthed and wiped away a tear that was glistening on his cheek.
"Please join hands" The notary smiled and we stepped closet to each other and I put my small hands in Michaels warm ones. I looked up and him and took a deep breath. This was the most magical moment of my life.
"By virtue of the authority vested in me under the laws of the State of California, I now pronounce you husband and wife."
I swallowed and let out a gasp, looking up and Michael.
"You may kiss the bride" The notary said and Michael leaned down to me. He put his hand on the back of my head and pulled me into a kiss, the other hand on the small of my back. Everybody was clapping as Michael pulled me closer to him. I felt like I was floating, before I realized that he had started slowly dancing with me. I put my hand on his shoulder and let him lead our dance.
"I love you Susan Jackson" He smiled down at me and we both shook our heads smiling the widest smiles. The beginning to our lives as wife and husband had began and as I began to realize that, fireworks went off in the sky.
