It was very early in the morning, around 8 a.m. and Michael had wanted me to wake up – why? I didn't know. He walked over to me and sat down.

"What?" he smirked and touched my leg with his warm hand. Then he looked deep into my eyes and I began to smile. I playfully slapped his arm and held it. "You're wearing mismatched socks baby" I said and pointed to his socks – one red, the other white.

" Indeed" Michael raised his eyebrows and chuckled. "But what did you wanna tell me?" he asked and pulled his legs up on the couch, sitting cross-legged.

"Why do you keep staring at my socks?" He giggled.

"Oh, it's just...I wonder if you are ticklish" I smirked and began tickling his feet. He burst out laughing and instantly grabbed my wrists. We looked at each other and smiled.

"So?" He asked and took a sip from his morning tea, then put it back on the coffee table.

"Alright, I just wanted to know...what you were dreaming about tonight. It's just because...I heard you talking in your room tonight, but I didn't understand all of it, I think you were asleep."

"I was talking in my sleep" Michael said a bit embarrassed. "Gosh what did you understand?"

"I think you talked about me, well I understood some words like Susan, tour, gosh what is she gonna say, so that got me worried. Is there something you wanna tell me Michael?"

"Well...yeah" He said and looked down. "Look, it's like that. I have to go on tour next year, it will be the dangerous tour." He pressed his lips together and checked my reaction. Now there was a heavy feeling on my chest.

"How long for?" I asked, getting a little choked up. I knew I wouldn't be able go with him, nobody could know we were together or else it would be news all over the world. Suddenly I felt tears coming up in my eyes, so I blinked fast to make them go away, but of course he noticed.

"Girl...don't cry" He hugged me. Feeling his warm body against mine made me feel protected and save.

"It's just...when you leave Neverland, you go out into this huge world and...I just need you Michael. I'm so in love with you" I whispered the last sentence and tears rolled down my cheek.

"Oh girl" Michael whispered wanted to sit back, but I held him in my arms. "Don't" I just whispered, I needed him now. He stroked my back gently and we sat like that for some moments, then I wiped my tears away.

"Come here Susan" He lifted me on his lap and I snuggled into his chest, closing my eyes.

"It's only next year. Before that comes Christmas and New Year, which we will celebrate together. And then comes my tour and the first leg is only 'til summer." He caressed my hair and I smiled.

"We will celebrate Christmas together? I thought you didn't celebrate it" I looked up an he smiled at me.

"You knew that?" He chuckled and caressed my cheek. I blushed. "Well...I am a pretty big fan after all"

We both laughed. "Well, you didn't know that I wanted to start celebrating it " He winked. "Ok Susan, that was a bad surprise for you with the tour and all. But, there's a season why I wanted you to wake up early – I couldn't wait any longer to show it to you." He smiled and we got up. He put my arm around my back and we walked upstairs to a door I had never opened before.

"Surprise" he opened it and let me walk in. "Wow, this is so pretty" I exclaimed. There was a huge window on the wall opposite of the door that looked out on the lake. A huge bed stood to the left on the wall with beautiful gold bedding.

It was so wonderful, there was even a big walk in closet. It was open and I saw that there were some of Michael's casual clothes in it, but most of it was empty. Then there was another door that led into a bathroom with a giant bathtub.

"Our bedroom" Michael smiled and took my hand. "I want you to sleep right next to me every night, no more in a separate room, how sad is that" We both laughed.

"This is amazing Michael, I love it" I pushed him back on our bed, smiling widely. It was so big and we both snuggled under the blanket. He had had a bad surprise for me, yes, but this now was just amazing. I couldn't wait to fall asleep in his arms, for the first time.
