Part XXVII
L O O K A W A Y
With shoulders hunched,
and a broken slouch.
With a hollow cry,
and an empty goodbye.
With sleepless nights,
and shallow "I'm right's".
I'd like to ask you;
Stop what you're doing and
just,
look.
Understand what's in front of
view with an open mind.
Of the sad little girl whose
always been kind.
Understand what's been
displayed before you.
Oblivious like everyone, I guess
you have no clue.
I'd ask you;
Drop what you're doing and
just,
look.
Listen, its not quite hard.
An annoyance of barriers
as her guard.
Keep watch;
For every liquor and scotch.
I'd ask you;
Drop what you're doing and
just,
look.
She's crying out in pain.
Having wasted her tears,
to no gain.
Of such a harmless life,
It hurts her, like a wound
stabbed with a knife.
I'd ask you this;
But you're too blind to
just,
look.
You all laugh at her shame,
nor understanding the
monster she must tame.
And you're all so blind,
Maybe that's just how Gold
designed.
So harmless,
to her yawning darkness.
So please;
Just gaze away.
And please just don't ever look
back.
