Lauren's POV

Hi, my name is Lauren and I go to Greendale High School, I'm kind of a loner but I have one really good friend who is also a loner. His name is Nico Di Angelo, and we're perfect for each other! He's very shy so I know he wouldn't have the guts to ask me out, so I'll do it for him. Not that I'm not shy, but this is important! I think I'm in love with him, with his messy black hair that falls over his eyes and his enchanting dark brown eyes, we also have so much in common! Since we've grew close, we've hung out together everyday and I know him better than he knows himself, but of course he doesn't know it yet! Boys!

So anyway, we're in Maths when I hear a noise, but I quickly realise it's just a student that dropped their lunch tray. Although Nico seems to take it seriously, he runs over and hitting the student with a pencil! "NICO!" I shout, "Stop hitting that girl with a pencil!" he looks confused and then laughs, he mutters something under his breathe, I'm pretty sure he said, "Stupid Mist!" But that doesn't make sense! Aw well, he's just a little bit weird! The girl then disappears and Nico starts to walk back to the table, he looks a little tired, I wonder what that was for! But I decide to let it slide. He sits down and I look into his eyes and decide it's now or never! "Nico." I say as confidently as I can. "Yeah." He replies. I take a deep breath and say, "Would you like to go to the movies with me, like a date?" I blurt out all in one go. He looks kinda guilty and he says, "Sorry, but I'm in a relationship..." I feel like I'm going to burst out crying, but I manage, "O-okay sure, can we still be friends?" He smiles thinly and replies, "I'd like that." He doesn't act suspicious, but I know he's lying!

When schools over we walk out and there's a Delphi Strawberry Service van parked outside. Everyone's crowded round it and I wonder why, I walk over to take a look and about 10 kids come out. But they're not just any kids, these kids are like models! The first boy, has windswept, coal black hair and mesmerising sea green eyes, and who I'm assuming is his girlfriend, has curly blonde hair and grey eyes. Woah! Next another couple walk out, the boy has roman styled blonde hair and bright blue eyes, his girlfriend has choppy but elegant brown hair and kaleidoscope eyes, I'm trying but I can't tell what colour they are! The next couple walk out, the girl is African American and has curly brown hair and gorgeous gold eyes, her boyfriend has crew cut black hair and brown eyes. 4 more people follow them out and I realise that we're all still standing there. I go to find Nico but then I realise he's running towards the group! Huh, that weird, I think. He keeps running and doesn't stop, he bolts through the crowd and runs up. The people spot him and smile shouting, "DEATH BOY!!" They all suffocate him with hugs until he says, "Can't breathe!" They let go with big smiles on their faces, this is also the happiest I've seen him ever!

But I'm not happy for long, because at that moment my dreams get crushed. He says, "Where's Will?" And looks around. They look sad and mutter, "Sorry, he's back at camp, the infirmary was busy today." Nico looks disappointed but nods, "O-okay, then let's go to camp, what are we waiting for?!" But something weird happens, a blonde haired boy creeps up behind him, wraps his arms around Nico from behind and says, "ME!" Nico shouts and turns round, he breathes a sigh of relief and kisses the blonde haired boy! I can't believe it, even if the love of my life, Nico, wasn't in a relationship, I still couldn't have him, because he's gay! I can't believe this, It's not fair! But I can tell they truly love each other and that they will last! I said good-bye to Nico for the weekend, but what I didn't know was that I would never see him again!
